Use that link on your streak to download the latest official released build from Dell/AT&T once downloaded click on it to install. Or go to settings and system update to see if it will get it OTA.

Thank you! Do I install it from the computer via program or from the phone via sim card?
I'm new at this so pardon the questions. Is there a guide to doing this step by step?
Download that to ur memory card
Turn off the phone
Go to recovery mode ( press both vol button and start button )
list of 4 options
press and leave camera button.
After flashing the new rom, it will factory reset , so u will loose all data. So make a back up.

Where on the memory card do I put the .pkg ?
How is the best way to do a backup of my data?
Just go to that link in the browser. It will start downloading. Once downloaded on your phone click the notification window that shows you it downloaded. That should start the install process.
You will need to be on wifi for this as the download is big.
You can also try doing this on your phone... Dial *#*#checkin#*#*
That will force your phone to check in to the update server. You might get the notification there. let me know if you have any other questions.

http://mobileupdate.dell.com/Package...0_14844_31.pkg
Now... I go to that link with my phone, not the computer?
I have that file saved on my computer. I thought I would then place it somewhere on the sim card?
What does Dial *#*#checkin#*#* do? Is that where I check for updates on the Streak? Do I try that first?
If you download it to the computer then put it on the phone you have to then rename it to update.pkg then go into recovery and manually flash it. If you download out on the phone you should be able to just click it once downloaded and it will start the upgrade.
The check in code forces the phone to checkin with the update server to see if there is an os update. If you do the checkin code wait a few minutes to see if you get the update notification. All AT&T streaks should get the notification to upgrade to 2.2 as it was released earlier this year.

I assume your in USA somewhere and got your update from AT&T. When did you get yours?
How'd you get the update? And I didn't? I got mine from Best Buy two weeks ago so it should have been done you think?
If you download it to the computer then put it on the phone you have to then rename it to update.pkg then go into recovery and manually flash it.
I don't know the "exact" procedure to doing the above... so I think I'll try your 3rd method below first, then if that don't work, do it from the phone and if all else fails, from the computer. I will try this this afternoon.

If you cant get it by downloading straight from the phone let me know and I can take you through the process to do it manually. I actually have an unlocked streak but I know all US at&t users should have gotten the update ota?

I've been reluctant to try for fear of bricking my phone.
I guess tomorrow I'll suck it up and try it.
I'd be happy with 1.6 if I could get the usb / modem to work on it... but....
I decided to wait until after the 22nd when my 30 days are up with the phone.
If I can't get the Streak to work as a modem via USB by then, I will take it back.

Extremely strange an advance phone like this one is so hard to tether via usb!
My last 6 phones (in my sig) were EASILY tethered via usb.
Shame on you Dell!!!
They don't even have the requrired driver for their own streak on their support page... I spent an hour trying, yet you can find the driver needed here:

[Q] Was told not to update

Hello everyone!
Just bought the photon yesterday and have a question about updating the software. I was told by the gentlemen not to update(On 45.2.5 now) because if I did I would not be able to use WIFI. Says that the update would break it. Has anyone ran into this? I've looked around and haven't really seen any mention of it.
Any help would be great!
This is the first time I'm hearing of this. Those store reps are clueless when it comes to phones lol. It won't break your wifi.

1) What system version are you on?
2) What happened during the update?
3) Is your phone completely stock (you have not modded it in any way)?
4) If necessary, you can push the latest update via RSD Lite v5.5
Good luck!

You gotta use that for the latest update via RSD, rooting it won't get you updates. And whoever told you that updating would break your WIFI was a dolt. It actually fixes most of the WIFI issues people were having. I've attached the 5.5 version of RSD so you don't have to hunt it down. Just follow the instructions in the thread I linked above and you should be golden. :]

You need to extract the zip file you downloaded from the link xTMFx provided (contains the 198_7 SBF)...you open this SBF file in RSD Lite, connect your phone to the computer after putting it in RSD mode, and hit START.

Once RSD lite has done it's thing, the phone will reboot, or you will have to manually reboot (it's a soft brick, just pull the battery if necessary).
Best,
K
I generally have had to pull my battery then reboot manually. But works just fine for me.

There isn't really a wifi bug on eclipse 2.02
The people that had the issues fixed it by one of these choices:
1. reset wifi router.
2. Turn of QoS in wifi router settings
3. Get a new wifi router lol

No. I got the sbf from twobrare. He probably got it from his carrier .
I mean an md5 checksum of the file you or anyone else has so I can be sure my download wasn't corrupted, it started and stopped quite a few times.

I'm guessing you're running windows, once you have the .sbf file unpacked run it through a program like MD5-Checker and it will spit out the md5 associated with the file, I can then compare it to mine to be sure the download wasn't corrupted.
Much later tonite then.

I Need a Froyo SBF Because I'm an Idiot.

Yep. Just got a new AT&T Atrix 4G online for a pretty reasonable price. I immediately rooted it and installed ROM Manager so I could install a better ROM instead of the stock Froyo it came with. Hadn't done an mod on an Atrix in a while, so naturally I spaced off UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER before starting. I'm such a knucklehead.
So yep... an hour after getting the phone I'm stuck with the good ol' phone frozen in "Failed to boot 2" thing (yes, I've tried pushing VolUp and also dropping out the battery and restarting).
IIRC, I might be able to fix it if I can flash a stock 2.2.2 SBF with RSDLite, but the problem is that I can't seem to find a Froyo SBF anywhere. All the links I find seem to be dead. Ideas on where to find one? Something else I can do to bring this thing back from the dead?
Any and all help appreciated.

Just to be clear. Does the sbf "[ATT_2.2.2]OLYFR_U4_1.8.3_SIGNED_OLPSATTSPE_P013_HWolympus_1g_Service1FF.sbf.7z" on Sam's site have pudding? (btw, is there an md5?)
Sorry for the n00bish question. I couldn't find the "these files have pudding" sign. XD
If this file isn't pudding, would you mind pointing out the one that is?
I know that rsd is NOT (very much so) recommended but I'm comfortable using it under the proper conditions.
I also saw this thread but I'll leave my query to the above for now.
Thanks much!
