i'm searching, but not found any "working" call recorder. does anybody find it for atrix?
Y tried a lot...any works for me...an usimg cm7.2
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
same here every call recorder is working, I m on cm7.
Atrix 4G, CM7 based TopSmarts 1.3 rom, Faux123 1ghz kernel.
If I m helpful dont hesitate to thank me.
Can't do it. Motorola has this locked down, I believe at the hardware level, as call recording is not legal everywhere.
You can record the person you are calling if you use speakerphone, but not from the call directly.
Already several threads about this.
If I am correct it is possible on Chinese Atrix, as I read somewhere a long time ago they can use call recording.
Also, because it is a feature in a "generic" ROM such as the CM series, this does not mean it will actually work on every device. It is possible to disable this function at the hardware level, and no amount of software manipulation will make any difference.
Sorry for my english...i tried buy i wanto say anysoftware dont work for me...i can record any call

I think atrix offical rom don't support call record
I see a topic telaated call record. There was a libriary for call record
I've run several different Roman radios etc, on my TB.
I keep hearing everyone complain about no notification of voicemails as a bug in GB. See here's the thing I get all my notifications matter of fact just got one this morning half hour ago, and never had a issue on any ROM. Id be more than happy to make a video and post it for proof, but before I do so I'd wanna make sure I'm running the same parameters.
I run vvm app I get a miss call I get a notification.
If I don't have a vvm app installed I get notified of voicemail recieved and recommends I get vvm.
So either way I'm being notified.
FYI I'm running 906 radios and bamf 1.06 at moment.

Unless teambamf figured out a way to get it working, it is not working on the stock ROMs. Thanks for the info though.

V V M works regular V M does not work. Also there are several market apps that work. It's only the stock V M that doesn't.

I wonder if the reason they let it ship with VM notifications broken is to encourage people to sign up for their visual voicemail service? I bet that is what the response from tech support will be.
Even when vvm not installed it says vm activities recieved, perhaps I'm missing something, ill grab the wifeys d1 and shoot a video when I get off the road, however I say free vvm for all if that's what it takes to get notifications for others. Wonder if i could use the notifications as a leverage point to get new phone since they broke my phone so to speak, oh vigor where thou art be?

Visual Voice Mail (VZW's *pay* app) works. Google Voice works. YouMail works. They all give notifications when a voicemail is left. MOST people do NOT use these though. The vast majority of users (discounting frequenters of XDA, rootzwiki, etc) most likely use Verizon's built-in, standard voice mail. The same system that works on dumb-phones as well as our smartphones. With that, without the fix, users do NOT get notification.
Been using CM9 from the i9100 section all day today without any issues.
On-Screen Button Modification:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364757
VOIP Calling:
Finally, the last bit is to use your Google Voice account combined with SipDroid for SIP calling which works well over 3G/4G/Wifi.
For incoming, I stress everyone to try this:
"Also, with this configuration, incoming calls to google voice may reach your phone via cellular, and not data. If you want to remove the possibility of incoming calls going over cellular, sign into google voice, and under settings, uncheck mobile. Just leave google chat checked. Now incoming calls can only forward using VOIP."
This works with ANY ICS Android 4.0.* rom.
There is no need to replace the modem, the i9100 modem should work fine.
I would like to stress to anyone who modifies their framework-res.apk to please post it for others and state which ROM it works with.
Give it a go if you want a pretty usable ICS rom for the i777 - I however understand not everyone cares to go this far to get the ROM on their device but I don't mind sharing my adventure for others.
But calling and texting don't work outside of google voice?
Nice for trying but not suitable for everyday use until kernel sources come out.
But thanks for the heads up.

It does work with my setup. All data works great. Sipdroid is just a cheap work-around for no in-call audio over the voice radio. In-call audio works fine over a data network.
If I don't go out tonight, ill give your work around a shot op.

Nothing has changed; call audio still doesn't work. The OP presents a workaround by using data for voice calls. I suppose this will suffice for those that can't restrain themselves. It's tempting, but I'll wait until the proper fixes arise.

Can we mod any 9100 rom to use flash on the i777 or am i missing something? I would love to test drive this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1460702.
We can mod most gingerbread roms to work well on i777s using Entropy's hellraiser program, but it doesn't work for ICS yet. Once we have kernel sources you will quickly see some good custom ICS roms for our phone.

You can't use the Andyx ICS version but you can use his 2.3.6 based version and I would recommend it. I had it on my phone and it ran perfectly, nice looking rom too!
If it weren't for hellraising I'd be quite bored! LOL I'm currently running the Omega rom. I've been running that one for about a week its also a really good choice! Just make sure you grab either the black and blue version of Omega or stock as ICS version will not work on our phones yet of course.
This whole ideal seems really cool. I may give a try myself. One question though. Is it difficult to answer and receive calls?

Well once we get kernel sources, we'll have some ROMs - not sure if they'll be good.
Call audio is going to be a *****.
This work around was posted a while back. Not a true fix but it works. Unfortunately, I think most will wait for ics to drop so making calls can be done via voice network, not wifi/data.

Ahh ok. Well its also nice to have proper ui control with the on screen buttons as well.
And for those wondering about the calling: it works very well as it integrates with the stock phone.apk. I do not however know how to get incoming calling forwarded through the pbxes account.

For some this is completely useable because not everyone uses calling much. I text way more than I call. And if I'm talking iits because I made the call - people don't call me often. Take it for what its worth I suppose.

I tried searching for answers but don't get a definitive one. I remember reading on their change log that Netflix was fix.
Not even a fresh install wont work. Not that it matters much.
Also the clock doesn't forclose anymore but then time changes when you click on network automatic time and zone. I can read strait answers so if you guys have some feedback that would be great.

I'd like to add a few questions of my own here instead of making a new thread. My friend is still on a CM9 nightly from 9(ish) months ago, and asked me about putting CM10.1 on it. I couldn't find a CM10.1 thread in the development section, and XDA's search is "unavailable" at the moment. So I have a few questions I'd love to get some answers to.
What works / doesn't work? On my S3, everything but bluetooth audio and the noise canceling mic work. There is also an issue where the mic used when recording video and talking to Google Now records really quiet. Other than that its a daily driver.
Could I get some similar info on CM10.1 for the S2? What hardware works and doesn't work? What applications don't seem to work or work well? How is battery life compared to CM9? Do you have a suggested Kernel or two I should look at for her?
Thank you in advance for your help!
The only kernel (for now) is CM which is in the ROM.....battery life, for me, seems a good bit better. As far as apps, I have had no trouble with any tho I don't use Netflix or BT audio. The ROM works really well for me other than I had a problem not being able to hear call waiting when I was one a call. Other than that its really solid.

Thank you very much. Sounds like it is in just about the same state as the S3 nightlies are in.
Hello everyone!!! I have currently been working on iMessage for Android. However the use of a Mac OSX computer is necessary or you can use a virtual machine. I need a android developer for the app, shell scriptors, and Xcode developers.
If you would like to help shoot me a PM and reply to the post.
If you are just interested post in the forum to show your support.
Right now I can currently send iMessage messages via terminal.
Curious....

2nd, that it would be cool.
This would be great!!! especially if there was a way it could be integrated into the stock app kind of like how Cyanogen announced that google voice is being integrated into stock sms.
I'd be interested in this. Wish I could help ya out though! One day....one day...
Have everything required and I'm definitely interested. PM me! Love to help.

Sure, What it does is uses the iMessage.app program on a mac to send and recieve messages. the messages are then sent to the android phone and can be replied to in a normal style messaging app. It will also allow you to choose which email address you want to send it with.
So will the use need an iOS device to get this to work? If there any way of just getting the imessanger software on android n send like SMS style etc etc

Its not going to be meant to be put into a preexisting messaging application. There are just too many settings that would have to be implemented. I am going to try and develop and app that will work with it and maybe a plugin that adds support for native messaging.
All you will need is Mac OSX no iPhone.
so the only way this will function is through mac osx? it wouldn't be possible to have a native android app that operates straight through the imesage servers?

I think a majority of the people who don't have iMessage don't have an MAC to use. The idea you proposed sound interesting because it gave us hope of by passing any apple product and still being able to talk to apple users!

I disagree. Both my wife and I are android users and Mac users. We left windows 8 year ago and haven't looked back. The customization of Android is what we love and iOS sucks for full Google services integration (especially since both our jobs are dependent on Google services). However we do have imessage on our Macs, and have friends/family that use iOS. While an app that would work without the use of a Mac would be great, I'm highly interested in using it through my mac, or any other way it would work. I'm currently using VZW messenger app on the ipad so i can answer text messages when using that.
