Need help ASAP!! - Motorola Photon 4G

I just installed Motomizer on my Electrify running CM9. I did not edit the build.prop file so now I have constant boot animation the phone will not boot. I went into CWM and erased cache but still nothing, this sucks because I did not do a backup and do not want to start all over

Try reinstalling cm9 and gapps. If that doesn't work, you will have to wipe. Next time make a backup.

fission 2.4.3

i just installed fission 2.4.3 for the droid 2 global. now, when i turn it on, it loops at the screen with the word android that repeated;y glosses over. it keeps looping through this animation. p.s. i have a clockwork backup but i really want this to work
Did you wipe cache/data? This usually happens when you don't wipe, so you should try wiping. Turn off your phone, then while holding x, turn the phone on to get into recovery, and in recovery wipe cache/data

I would suggest you restore your backup and try again, except this time wipe cache/data. I had the same problem too. However, I got into clockwork recovery mode by pulling out the battery during the M logo, not by holding X. Try whatever works for you!
There's no need to do it again. Wipe your cache and data and you should boot right up.
I had this same problem. It was because when installing the rom for the first time, I only deleted the cache when installing from the Fission ROM Manager, and not cache+data.
In the end I needed to re-SBF the phone, delete cache+data, root, install Droid2Bootstrapper & FRM, then follow the instructions properly
Can somebody delete this post? I hate vBulletin. It is extremely insecure, and doesn't have all the necessary features one would expect from a bb.

HELP

i tried to install villianrom and its stuck on a villainrom load screen =[
Wipe and then flash again.
ok i did that, it worked but after i went to CWM and restored my files its stuck at the boot screen again?? do i just keep trying until it works or am i doing it wrong??
Wipe cache and dalvik cache, and try again, you may not be able to restore stuff with cwm, that's what titanium is for.
Nandroid in cmw is more for full system restore.

[Q] Tab 10.1 in bootloop. Help appreciated

Hello all,
I'm having some trouble with my p4wifi. It's stuck in a bootloop. Well... it boots, but then after 10 to 15 seconds the screen goes black and it starts booting again. Want to get some advice here before I go and damage it even more trying to fix it
Here is what I did so far:
1. When the problem occured I was running cm-10.1-20130203-NIGHTLY-p4wifi.zip with stock kernel. I used cm10.1 for a few weeks without any problems. Don't remember witch 10.1 nigtly I started with.
2. I came from CM10 liquid pure JB 4.1.2. Before that I was running CM9. Before updating to CM10 I updated my bootloader to US_LPL_4.0.4_bootloader. This was recommended in the cm10 liquid pure thread.
3. First thing I did after the problem occured was updating to cm-10.1-20130205-NIGHTLY-p4wifi.zip, hoping it would be fixed in a new Nightly. No solution...
4. Then I did a wipe/factory reset + wiped cache + wiped dalvik cach... Still the same problem
5. Then I did a nandroid restore. Restoring didnt go smooth though.... CWM said my backup directory was empty. Searched the internet for a solution and found it: moved the nandroid backup files to /data/media/clockworkmod/backup/[backupdate] (via ADB) The nandroid restore then worked.... . The backup I restored is a CM9. Still the same bootloop though
6. Did a wipe/factory reset + wiped cache + wiped dalvik cach... didnt help...
I have also made a logcat.txt, will attach it to this post. Don;t have much experiance with logcat. I just executed 'adb logcat -d > logcat.txt' after my tab made a view bootloops.
Hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance.

Did you attempt to ODIN a known good stock image?
No I didnt.
Can you recommend me one? Do you have a link? And how do you advice me to flash (repartitioning checked or unchecked etc..). And do I have to change my boot loader?

[Q] Cyanogenmod 10.2 stuck on circle

This is my first time trying to install this I have a Samsung galaxy s2 T989 And I'm pretty sure I've done it right. I factory wiped it, cleared the cache and the cleared the cache in advanced settings. It's been atlesst over 10min and its still on the blue circle just spinning around.
Can someone please help me?
When I installed cm10.2 for the first time mine done that. Best bet and worked for me is do a battery pull and reboot. If that don't push you past the spinning circle which I ran across you should reinstall the ROM again and it should boot up just fine. Hope this helps

You've bootlooped it. The T989 is a pain when flashing custom ROM's because the custom recovery's built in wipe doesn't quite work for it.
Keep this ZIP handy as you'll be needing to run it every single time you need to wipe data/cache and dalvik. Don't ever ever use any other means of wiping aside from this one until this issue is fixed. I've been doing this for a while and have flashed upwards of 20 ROM's on my T989 alone.
It's called Darkside Super Wipe.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477955
So, just put that ZIP on your SD card, along with your custom ROM and appropriate Gapps. Flash Darkside first (always) then flash ROM then Gapps. Then reboot and problem solved!!
Good luck!! :highfive:
So after putting that in my sd card. Install that and gapps and cm10.2?

Yup, install Darkside Super Wipe first, then install the ROM zip then Gapps. Then reboot!
Should I factory reset and clear caches first or no?

Nope, just run the Darkside Super Wipe and it'll erase all /system, /data and /cache partitions. And like the thread says, it won't wipe your SD card or EMMC.
Just make sure you don't leave the recovery without flashing the ROM and Gapps
Also, you should get in the habit of making backups. You can make them from CWM or TWRP's custom recovery.
Titanium backup is an application on the Google Play store that you should look into as well my friend.

Very finicky phone for customs. On mine I can get no ROM to fully load other than the stock Koodo 4.04, and CM 10.0 I flashed the latest radio for JB, darkside super wipe, flash custom rom, flash gapps, wipe dalvik. The same process for every ROM i try... still no success, 10.2 stays at boot. Dirty Unicorns starts boot, goes through the "optimizing apps" stage gets to the "starting apps" and reboots, lather, rinse, repeat. I've tried a few others, AOKP and some others. Still only Koodo 4.04 and CM 10.0 will fully boot. Not even the stock T-mobile 4.03 will boot (came with phone). Going to give JMT a shot, it looks pretty
