[Q] [HELP] Error when trying to unlock semc bootloader - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello All,
Please Help, I am trying to unlock my bootloader using the semcboot tool here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254087) but I am having an error on the process. Please let me know the solution for this.
I am qualified with this condition so I used this one - "If you can find semc simlock certificate in one of the last lines from the output, you can unlock your bl with the *semc.bat file"
but unfortunately, upon starting the tool, I encountered this error message. Please let me know what should I do. Thank you!

[Q] Bootloader unlock

Hello community!
I tried to unlock bootloader on my mini pro, unsuccessfully, of course
Now I have some questions, just to make things clearer.
Followed instructions from guide on this forum.

I suppose my mistake was trying to unlock on non-srandard ROM (MiniCM7pro v10).
I do not understand role of PC Companion in whole process. Is it used just to check connection between phone and PC? Do I have to really connect to PC Companion enabling USB Storage?
Thanx!
a kind of answer here
of course do not reflash miniCM7 2.0.7 since it is not for pro
but the other steps should work
(-Reflash Eclair with SEUS
-Root with SuperOne Click
-Unlock bootloader)
BACKUP before anything else !!!
Thank you Mat, can you also clarify PC Companion question?
cheers!

PC compagnon is needed for one thing : a driver needed for flashtool
if you don't want to install PCcompagnon, you need to install the driver :
in flashtool folder, go to drivers and install "ggsetup-2.2.0.10.exe"
I have it installed already, so no problem. Now I know why is needed!
Thanks mate!

I got same problem, I don't know how to proceed !!! what a shame!!!
Hey,
I have the same problem with my sola (6.1.1.B.1.54) too. Do I have to unlock the bootloader before doing this? Isn't there a way to root without unlocking the bl?
Please help!
Thank you
Finally found my way out!!
It seems that the .54 firmware isn't vulnerable to bin4ary's exploit, you need to flash the .10 kernel first, root and the reflash the .54

I'm looking for a ROM to replace stock which supports USB OTG and allows disabling of the HDMI port. Wife passed her phone on to my son when we upgraded hers but its always detecting HDMI even if there is nothing plugged in. The disable detection setting in the stock JB rom only disabled for a short time.
Thanks
There be will be a video by therazrguy in YouTube for rooting all jellybean RAZRs.. That's an easy method...
You've to disable MotoDockService. Also i guess you're having the screen Force Portrait issue. If it's so, there's a root app to force orientation..
A friend of mine bought a refurbished RAZR and it has this issue

Kingo Android Root
Hi!
You can try to download this app :
http://www.mediafire.com/download/n...1.3.6_Cekas+FIX+Sharebertron.blogspot.com.apk
AFAIK it's mod-ed version of RootMaster, the mod makes it easier to understand the Chinese words.
You'll receive notification from Google prior to installing saying that this app is unsafe since it's trying to break the android secure, but I think it's all fine, rooted my 4.1.2 JB XT910, when I was in ICS, TheRAZRGuy's method worked for me but ever since I flashed JB it wont work anymore. This worked well for me, no problems so far.
Hope this helped!

CM11 will have over written this recovery when you installed it. Just after you start the boot the LED should go purple for a second or two, press the vol up key then and you should endup in CWM

Thank you for the reply mate. Thats"s what i thought also, i try to go to CWM,when purple LED lights up, i would press volume UP but it would just be stuck on SONY logo and yellow LED would light up and that's it. I have to restart the phone. is it ok to reflash the recovery? or would there be any step that I need to do. Thanks. Very appreciated.

Issues with Dual Boot Recovery
Hi,
Anyone can help me out?
I have an Xperia Z Ultra, freshly rooted with unlocked BL.
I installed Dual Recovery but for some reason, I can't reboot to any of the recovery this has to offer (PhilTouch, CWM, and TWRP).
Tried the physical button method and via NDR Utils with no success.
Looking at the log on the console, it looks like it failed to copy some files saying that a given directory is read-only but I checked using ES File Explorer that these directories are writable.
Can anyone help out as I would like to create a nandroid backup before messing with anything else just in case.
Anyway, here is the output of the installer console:

How to know if this TWRP "install" file is okay to use?

My tablet is a Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 (B6000-F)
I'm going to try installing TWRP on my tablet, but because I couldn't find any official TWRP/CWM or even unnificial ports, I asked in a facebook group for help. A random guy gave me a 6MB .img file. (sorry but because of the dam new user restrictions I can't put the file in here) . How do I know if it's safe? I already tried opening the file, seeing its contents etc but I can't. I also tried mouting but with no sucess. I'm not any pro, but also not any noob.
How do I check if this is safe?
