I'm still confuse how the tweaks in init.d work. Should i run them as boot and root using Script Manager or just place them in init.d?
Wait i'm running a complete stock rom, kernel and my bootloader is lock. I use this method to work init.d in stock kernel [MOD] Enable init.d scripts support on stock kernel
Thanks
If you flashed that put them init.d

I was wondering if you had to restore your initial.d scripts when you flash a new kernel.

No. Only kernel that uses init.d are siyah. Entropy's are gtg.
i install.. no oc + wifi dont work... is there a way to uninstall kernel module?

You can't uninstall, but you can flash the boot.img from a Rom using fastboot, or you can just reflash whatever Rom you are currently using. Either will overwrite the kernel you don't want.

Gonna be flashing ics to my mates XS and root it. Mine is running xsspeed kernel 3 and ka10.2 and i love it. (seems to be a lot of problems with ka11)
So should i do the same to his or flash the later turkish rom and root and just remove all the pointless built in apps? And install a custom kernel only?
Opinions please?

Flash the latest Turkish build, root it, delete all bloatwares and keep the stock kernel.

Think the latest build is really worth it then? Use the advanced stock kernel for auto rooting?

Stock kernel for stability.
Extract the ftf file and you will find kernel.sin flash it with fastboot.
Fastboot flash boot kernel.sin

You can always pull one out of a rom using a stock kernel, but here is the stock kernel modified to enable adb and init.d support http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1668249&highlight=kernel

If you want to put custom boot animations on the padawan jb rom then you need to do this...go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2063280
Download the 2 zip files bootanimation4u.Samsungani.only.zip and bootanimation4u.
After you got those two downloaded, go to play store and install busybox (even if you already have one, install a fresh one)
Boot into recovery and flash the bootanimation4u.Samsungani.only.zip first, then flash the bootanimation4u.zip second. Boot your phone back up. Find the bootanimation that you wanna run and push it into /system/media with any root explorer. Rename your boot animation, bootanimation.zip. you will have to make sure you select the tab to R/W in order to successfully rename the zip. Once you got it named bootanimation.zip mount the tab back to R/O and boot back into recovery and fix permissions under advance tab. Reboot and you should see your new custom boot animation...

If your gonna flash padawan jb v2 then do not install the phase kernal because it is already included in the v2 rom build. Padawan jb (the first one) did not have the phase kernal included. Just a little F.Y.I..
