Is it possible to remove call history and contact views from the dial pad screen?
Specifically, I would love the dial pad to work similiar to the Palm Pre where I have an icon that allows me to access my contacts for viewing searching from the dial pad. Additionally, it would be nice if I could configure the preferrence that typing automatically links to a contact searching etc.
I don't think having call history at the top of the dial pad is practical.
Use case:
Someone asks " may I use your phone, mine has no signal".
I unlock and hand them my phone and they can see my most recent calls and contacts? Booooo!
This is private and should require access points i.e. icons etc. This is an area the Palm Pre did a great job.
Recently again zguiĆem phone (TyTN II) :-(
Therefore, I wonder if there is any soft that sends GPS position but on demand (eg, SMS messages about appropriate content). Maybe someone knows so soft?
I have nexus s with stock android 4.0. when i make a call, i always get a popup where i have to choose mobil or internet calling. se picture below. how can i remove this ??
set it to default .....
what and where can i set to default ?
IF you can select a default action it will be in settings (don't know exactly where) but if this bother you try deleting the internet calling service? This can simply be removed from the settings menu.
hope this helps a bit.
I'm not sure if that popup was asking you to choose a particular internet calling account or if it was asking if you want to dial over the phone network/with internet dialing. I'll try to explain both though...
The default way to call should be under the settings for the phone app, under the Internet Calling section (near the bottom). There you can control whether the phone asks you if you want to do internet dialing or not.
As for making it automatically choose a certain Internet Dialing account, see if checking Set As Primary Account under the Internet Calling/Account part of the Phone Settings does anything to improve things.
If it doesn't work to your liking, I strongly recommend abandoning the built in SIP support and using cSipSimple. With cSipSimple, you can set filters that trigger when a dialed number matches a certain pattern. For example, you could have Internet Dialing with Sip-Provider-1 kick in automatically if you dial a number with a long distance area code.
If you decide to go this route and need a hand, let me know.

YESSSS!! its gone. thanks for all your help and tips
I switched over to the Galaxy S3. Bluetooth works great on my car kit, but it shows every single contact on my car (Peugeot 508). So every single e-mail address I every used in gmail is shown, even though I limited the synced contacts to my MS Exchange contacts that have a phone number. They show up correctly when I access it through my Phones contacts app, but not in the car, as stated earlier.
Thanks in advance!
I am experiencing the exact same issue. I would love to know how to limit the contacts displayed.
My wife upgraded from a Note 3 to a S6 Edge a while back without any issues. All her contacts have synced correctly and all are visible in the Contacts tab but for some reason, when she tries to the use the Smart Dialing feature, not all contacts show up meaning that if she wants to ring someone, she has to go to the Contacts tab, find their name and ring them from there rather than just being able to type in a part of their name or number.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this issue?
