Hi, guys. I have a little problem and I hope you can help me. Sometimes (it's not usual, but sometimes it happens) my phone (Nexus one, CM7) runs quite slowly, and not fluent at all, just because of an app that is eating all the memory / processor. If I kill that app, problem solved. OK, this is not the real problem here.
When this happened the first time, I went to the running services section in settings, and I checked that the services listed are not ALL the running processes, so even if I kill all the services there, there are still running apps. Then, I tried to install several app killers, just to check if they kill all the running apps, but not only they don't list all the running apps, but also when killing all, there are still apps that keep running (like some games), and the only way I found to find them is checking one by one in the apps list, if they are running or not.
Is there any app to check at once ALL the running apps? I have looked for it, but all I have found are apps to do exercise ("running apps", D'oh!), and stuff like that.
Thank you.
Here's a little something...
Is your phone rooted? - If so, I highly recommend 'Autostarts' - (Search on play).
You can literally set apps not to run from the moment you start-up your phone, stopping them in their tracks until you say so. These include system apps and bloatware and it does a great job of pinpointing which apps are operational & when they are. Some apps open in the background at inappropriate times and you'll be shocked to see how many take up memory without you even noticing.
Give it a whirl.

Sorry, if you aren't rooted, you could try 'Gemini App Manager' (Also on the Market).
It isn't as streamlined as Autostarts, but there are plenty of additional options built in. Great for any non-rooted phone.
What I did in Android 5.1 was to just pm disable PlayStore, google services and stuff using Automagic (kind of like Tasker). And I unfroze and started all of it by just tapping on a widget I created. That worked quite well. With Android 6 when I disable play services I lose my google account. So on unfreezing I have to enter my user name and password again each time.
So as I now can't just disable com.google.android.gms, I am trying to greenify it. The Problem is just that it is started by all kinds of apps so I constantly have to cut off wakeup paths. That is not a proper solution either because it seems to never end. I'm looking for a reliable way to shut up that process for good and to only have it started when I actually need it.
Help would be appreciated
I'm working on trying to make a custom ROM and I noticed that there is no complete debloat list for the Axon 7 that I could find. Honestly the bloat on this device really isn't that bad, most of the preloaded apps I actually use. Although I am learning about making custom ROMs and debloating is part of that learning, and I figure someone may find this useful. Now this is by now means a complete or thoroughly tested list. It will be it just isn't yet, so in the meantime feel free to make any comments that may help.

Of course the google framework should be removable and I'm trying to remove it but it's giving me a lot of problems. Furthermore it is possible to remove Dolby Atmos, and thanks to lokissmile here's the explanation:

The files in the /system/framework/framework are dolby_ds1.jar and dolby_ds2.jar I keep them in my debloat for compatibly with sound mods that may use them but they should be save to remove if you are removing dolby and not using any mod that might require them.

There are a lot of ringtones and alarm sounds built in, they can be found at "media/audio". Clock Alert Tone is the really annoying alarm tone that you may want to keep.
Also it is possible to remove the built-in launcher if you replace with your own. I'm not sure how the process would work from within android, but if you're making a ROM there are 3 launcher folders in "system/priv-app" and 2 in "system/app". You will also find a folder "etc/custom_config/app/Launcher" that can be removed.
Another note, the messaging app and dialer can be removed but if you actually plan to use your phone you'll need to have a replacement for those. Personally I prefer to use Signal Private Messenger as my text messaging application.
After removing all apps on the list, replacing the launcher with Nova Launcher, and the messaging app with Signal I was able to reduce the amount of system data by ~1.2GB. There's a lot more I think I can get rid and I know the google framework is a sizable chunk, I'm just having a lot of problems with it.
Thanks to SuperR for a great Kitchen to work in, and thanks to lokissmile who's tennitive list on his HelsAx7.SubMix helped me start this list ( I also copied that first thank you from him too).
I also recall there being pre-installed apps for Dropbox and ZTERewards, but unlike the other apps they can be completely uninstalled from within the OS.
If you're going to remove "Toolbox" you need to remove "Calculator" "Plumb Line" "Protractor" "Level" as well. Those four are not usable if you do not have Toolbox installed.

Yes they are installed to /system/.partner-app so they are uninstallable.

Thanks for supplying this to everyone! I'll compare it to my hand debloated build and get the filenames of anything you missed to update the list.

Thank you for the info I'll update the list. I thought removing toolbox would remove all of that so I didn't even look for the rest.

Ya like lokissmile said they have their own little folder and I actually removed them but forgot to add them to the list. Thank you for pointing that out.

I never even looked inside vendor, and thank you for the other parts of the tools package. And If you could provide anything else to help this list that would be awesome.
Thanks for the help everyone!
It would probably be useful to disable some zte services more so than apps. Question is which services are safe for disabling without negative side effects.

thanks for the list, this will be very handy in future releases
basically anything but com.android.xxx and anything qualcomm related is safe to remove but if someone had a list of all packages on the phone I could skim through it and really tell you how much is removable.
For the google apps ZTE is required by Google to preinstall some of them for access to the Play Store and Google Play Services.

Is there an easy way to print them out for you.

Uninstalling all apps on my list still allows you to have access to the play store. I do understand that ZTE had to include those apps for playstore certification, and I'm by no means complaining about the bloat. I just want to have a completely debloated ROM to use as a bass.

Oh my bad. I didn't read the part of you making a debloated ROM, I thought you were asking ZTE to remove the bloat. Sorry

In the settings make sure to uncheck the first box so it'll export the system apps. You can pm to me, I'll take your user apps out of the list (unless you want to) and give "safe to delete", "you might miss it" stuff, do not delete, etc. Most of the Qualcomm stuff it's difficult to discern and really I wouldn't want to get rid of those goodies because they're really to take advantage of the device. I also have a few question marks on some of the zte stuff but I guess you'll see once I can get a list back to you.
Other things that can be removed are sounds of course, but it's a matter of opinion and you sold at least leave one of each sound type. A user can create a folder on their storage drive with names of ringtones, alarms, or notifications and put audio in them and the Android media scanner will pick them up. Just an extra tip.
Also, personally I've simply made a script zip file which deletes stuff instead of making a whole ROM just to do the same thing.
Look for IHO poo remover on here. The links for the download might be broken by now, though.

If you want to do something even further you could make a Google spreadsheet and let people update it with further info.
Like columns for app name, package name, safe to delete, what it's for, etc.
I'm kind of an Android newbie, but still learning how to do all this stuff. I wanted to clean up / remove some of the junk that came with the phone.
Are these all apps that I could safely freeze/remove with TitaniumBackup?
I'm rooted, unlocked bootloader, with B15 and A2017U.
I use NovaLauncher for my launcher, Inbox for my email, so I don't want to have to keep their version of stuff.
Also there are some other things that came installed on my phone, like CamCard, TouchPal keyboard, or some other random apps I don't need/want.
Anyone have a zip you could flash to debloat stock rom?
My Gmail notifications are showing up intermittently in the status bar. I've checked the settings in the app and on the phone and all seem to be correct. I've also cleared the cache in the app but the notifications are still intermittent. If anyone has had this problem and know the fix I would appreciate yours and all other input. I am beginning to think it's related to the latest Gmail update.
do you have a firewall blocking Google services? thats what i have and lots of apps use Google services and it might be why. or maybe quiet time mode could be switched on or scheduled that you don't know of...
No firewall. I don't think quiet mode is on but I'll check. Thanks for the response.

Sorry...I meant to ask you what firewall you're using
AFwall firewall it needs root. you can use no-root firewall for non-rooted androids, it fakes a vpn connection and does filters, just as good really. google apps and services will be find a way to stealing your data no matter what you do.
I have just brought a Realme GT 5G and wonder if I should send it back.
First I had to discover that some preinstalled apps, not only can't be uninstalled, but also not disabled (without root): YouTube, Netflix, Google. The last I had to disabled on previous phones because it became active out of itself.
The second problem is that the Camera app asks rather strange permissions and exits when I don't give it. Why should I give a Camera app permission to read my phones state?
From: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/Manifest.permission#READ_PHONE_STATE
"Allows read only access to phone state, including the current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device."
Not something you need to make a picture.
They claim that they need it to know if it is functioning properly.
Sound like nonsense. Where do they use it for?
I can see one valid use case for READ_PHONE_STATE, if you are in a call and go to take a picture, generally the camera is full screen so it makes it hard to end the call, dial, or other phone functions.
Very weak argument but that is all I have.
If you really want to disable the apps you can use Device Owner to disable them. If you don't trust an app you can use the Google Test DPC app.

I found that you can do something like
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.google.android.apps.googleassistant
Only for disabling a component of an app, root seems to be required.
