You must have a app that is keeping it awake.

As ShadowOfDarkness has said, you've probably got an app(s) keeping your phone 'awake' & preventing it from sleeping when it's idling.
You need to find/install BetterBatteryStats on your phone (search for the thread devoted to this app on here), and let your phone run for a couple of hours/overnight after you've installed it.
Then go to the BetterBatteryStats thread & read the first 10 pages of the thread & the last 10 pages. This will give you an idea of what information/screenshots you'll need to post in that thread (not in this one) to enable the guys who post regularly to the thread to help you resolve this problem.

Rom xxxx and Kernel xxx all apps on phone .
Overnight battery drain 28%
Wipe phone install original rom root
Install custom rom with no user apps setup
charge 100%
overnight battery drain 1%.
One large drain caused by user apps
Two large drain due to the fact that rom xxx has had multiple flashes and different kernels over a two week period . My opinion is that flashing multiple roms etc requires a full wipe and revert to stock to clear out mistakes rubbish and any leftover bits .
Proof well lets say that norm is for little battery drain for me most of the time then i hit a high battery drain only resolved by above method and thats happened a few times .

deep sleep is comming automatically !
If you charge your phone it is not going into deepsleep and your phone is not going into deepsleep if any app is holding your phone @ 100 or 200 mhz
for testing if any app is holding your device out of deep sleep just put your device of, wipe cache and dalvik cache and restart it and look at CpuSpy if your phone is going into deepsleep now

How to switch off deepsleep?

Why would you want to 'switch off' deep sleep

Because I have lag with unlock the fone...

That won't solve the lag problem. That's perfectly normal, there isn't really anything you can do about that second or two it takes for the screen to come on/the phone to fire up once you unlock it.
Edit - To stop the phone sleeping, you'd need to do something with the phone constantly/have an app running that keeps a wakelock in order for the phone not to sleep. Still won't solve the wakeup thing tho.

I'm testing "Wake Lock - PowerManager" - it's working.

BTW: Does app SetCPU solve that problem with the lag?

no setcpu will not since deep sleep is not a problem dude but its state wherein ur cpu activity is at its bareminimal
ps- only solution is to keep ur phone awake all the time

[Q] speeding up answering the phone

no matter what rom i have answering the phone calls are very slow
anyone know of a fix?
some stupid questions
does the type of launcher affect the phone app?
why doesnt the phone pause everything not in system when a call comes in?
is the cpu be set to full speed on calls?
how can i have apn/wifi/gps disabled on calls and would that affect the signal strength in low signal areas?
I have always experienced a little lag while answering phones in every rom but I don't mind it cuz I hate talking on the phone
Be Kind everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

it might happen because of lots of apps running in background...
so u may freeze unwanted apps that runs in background and u can unfreeze it when u wanna use....

Usually happens due to lots of background app [low memory]. Also check if for apps which let you set CPU profiles...e.g. SetCPU or CPU master etc.

No. The type of ROM does.

Not really needed i think...and i guess many foreground apps might crash if paused in between...

try looking for profile apps on market....there are some which let you set profiles based on time as well as conditions
I know this...
For some rom, I was testing whether setting min freq as 122mhz (rather than 245) made any difference to battery...
There, I noticed that when screen was off (and min freq 122, max 600), and I called on my phone, then white screen would appear for around 3secs...if the phone is in ring mode, then this increased to 4-5secs...
While delay in answering when min was 245 was 1-2 secs at silent mode, and 3 secs with ring...
While I got a 1sec difference, while screen was on, and at launcher I.e. no other foreground app...
So I guess this has something to do with deep sleep...
Typed on a small touchscreen
contact pictures
after getting a call from an unknown number I found it was quicker to answer.
i found out it was getting it contact pictures from my facebook friend profile pictures - it was slowed by having to load and reduce the image.
I reckon its the rom it self using to much ram, cus i dont seem to have any problems.
Same here,...
(you can use stable custom rom)

Wifi Staying on during deepsleep

My wifi is remaining on all the time, even during deep sleep. It is draining the battery exessivly.
I can see in BBS that the phone is getting into deep sleep, with very few partial and kernal wakelocks... However each time I go to unlock the phone the wifi is still on and already connected.
I am running Omega v30, Syiah 1.7rc1
Tried Wiping Cache, Delvic Cache, Fixing Permissions, Formatting /system
Wifi settings are set to never.
Anyone got any ideas?

Are you reffering to the 'Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep' section? As that is already set to Never.

Thanks for the effort !
I cannot figure this out.. been wasting more of my work day attempting to fix this..Next step is a full wipe I guess...
personally I just use juice defender to manage it all for me, people criticize it, but for someone like me that always forgets to turn Wi-Fi off, it does the job and saves more battery than it uses!
or just create a tasker profile that switches off Wifi during your sleeping hours.
Are you using viber, it has its own wifi sleep policy

[Q] Skype disconnects when screen off

hey guys, quick question
I use skype on a regular basis, and normally on the dock, so theres no problem. however, i always have to keep the screen on, which is a pain when im lying down in bed while on skype. thing is, when i turn off the screen, the call automatically gets choppy and eventually disconnected. The wifi sleep setting is already set to never, yet this still happens. any idea what could be happening? Using neutrino 3.02, if it matters.
thanks in advance!
This happens to me too with new versions above 4.0

AFAIK it's a bug in skype.
I've seen a lot of complaints on the store

[Q] connected,sync loop

It s normal this message in the notifications?
i made some researches ,but no luck...
did you guys get same problem?
I have the same thing. Had it on KitKat and also now on lollipop. I saw a screenshot recently from someone that just said connected.
I had no luck searching either :-\
Sorry I'm not replying with an answer.

On kitkat it was connected sync loop but now on lollipop it is only connected but i didn't find ajy difference in both, the watch is working in the same manner as it used to be on kitkat

i changed rom, and now says connected . i was on cyano . hope this helps..
found the problem
i founded the solution. you have to deactivate dev options from phone. then turn off bluetooth and then says connected
Yup that works.. But Google should fix that soon as in most of phones the Dev options are always on..
FYI

Basically means USB debugging is turned on..

It's not broken though, As long as you have USB Development options on it will use the Android Wear app notification to show more verbose status messages.
There's nothing to fix there... That shows when you enable developers options.
No impact on the phone or watch battery or performance whatsoever.
Even without developer options enabled, that's what's happening, AW is running a sync loop to constantly update the watch information (cards and apps).
Cheers!

In my case, when the notification says "connected, running sync loop", my battery goes down so quickly (in my phone and in my watch).
My solution: I disable developer options (at this moment i dont need it) and all works nice.

This is probably due to the Android Wear app updating the notification with the current status of the watch, resulting in more wake-ups than normal (could definitely be wrong here, but that seems the most logical to me.), best way to fix it is indeed to turn off developer options.

I've tested and on my devices there is absolutely NO DIFFERENCE in the battery consumption with both cases.
It's just a different way of writing the current state.

Exactly, there's no difference in battery at all. It's just different wording of the same state.
With developer options enabled ir disabled, the phone is in a constant sync loop with the watch for it to work properly.
Cheers ?

After this night, i bring my results.
I have activated dev options, and my phone says "Connected, running sync loop". I went to sleep at 2am and the watch battery was 82% and phone battery was 71%. When i woke up, my watch was off and my phone has 22%. I looked at the battery graphic and in the first position was Bluetooth.

[Q] 50% battery drain overnight

Hello.
I usually don't post here because I get my problem solved by myself. But for this one I have no idea what could cause the drain to be that big? The only thing I suspect is that Quick Search (Google bar) from the Nova Launcher? Could I be right? I've attached the dumpfile here plus the pictures of BBS for the first run.
View attachment 3405362
After I've tested another night with the persistent search bar from Nova launcher diabled, I still get the same drain with the same process. I'm puzzled right now. I haven't updated picture this time becasue they looked almost the same as the 1st time. Here's the dump file tho

In your list of alarms, you will see the major players in battery drain.
The big ones here are facebook & messenger. Greenify those two and it will fix your problems.
Source: i've 6% battery drain overnight.
Could it be related to the fact that I have received notifications on them? And 50% battery drain because of that? I wouldn't believe my eye. Is it normal? Never greenified apps in my life and didn't have that problem
Edit : what about the quicksearch?

My S6 edge is quickly becoming unusable... I'm losing 20% - 30% per hour when not charging and the biggest offender is cell standby, not screen on. I've contacted T-Mobile for a replacement. It will also heat up to the point that it throttles the CPU resulting in lags of 3+ seconds from screen taps.

Hey Jason,
That cell phone stand by is a issue that had already been resolved by removing the 'calling over wifi' or 'Enhanced 4G LTE '. If on ATT go to "Settings > Connections(TAB) > Mobile Networks > Mobile Data > Enhanced 4G LTE Services (uncheck it). If on another carrier go to the Dialer tap MORE up top and Settings. That should take care of battery and crappy signal.

Check out some of your wifi settings under advanced . Uncheck 'Network notification', 'Passpoint', 'Always allow scanning' , and 'Auto connect'. That should be it for wifi settings now if you have already done it let me know . I will dig in to it.
That IS with WiFi calling disabled. And smart network switching disabled.
