Is there any convincing reason to buy the paid form? Is it smoother or just has the gestures feature? I only ask cause its a little pricey
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA App
Supporting the dev, the gestures as you mentioned, the ability to hide apps from the app drawer, and more scroll effects.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA Premium.
Ah more scroll effects. Thanks. That made up my mind. Def worth getting now. I love supporting devs, its not that. Just making sure its worth it. Four bucks is a pricey launched, for good reason but still haha

For whoever would like to know, very glad I bought it. Seems faster then the free version unless that is just in my head. New screen change effects are sweet

Check out the swipe up on a dock icon feature. On my dialer icon, I can swipe up from its and it calls my wife. Swipe up on the map to access navigation. Pretty sweet feature.
I like the swipe down. I hide the status bar with it, and can swipe it down when I need it. Sick feature

I had the 3vo and it is purely a gimmick phone. The Photon is just a nice piece of machinery. If you are still on your 30 days just try it out, you can reset your 30 days 3 times. You won't want to return it.

The Longer I have my EVO the more it makes me want to get rid of it.

Yea that was what I though it was but "Dj" said you can do it 3 times if so I asked where I can get that info so I can printed and have proof to show at the store if and when the Samsung Epic Touch 4G aka the Samsung Galaxy II comes out I will probably jump on that since I am a Samsung fan boy.

If buying at Sprint retail, they will only allow 1 exchange (for a different device) you CAN exchange for the same device multiple times (with device issue). Best Buy, I have personally done 3 different devices within that 30 day time frame.
Just tell em "look, I'm gonna be stuck with this phone for the next 2 years...so wanna make sure I'm gonna be happy with it."

To me sense is sleek, I went to the sprint store to look at the photon and its nice. Scrolling beetween screens is not smooth at all, and the Motorola widgets don't look as cool .

I guess nice looking widgets mean more to some people than a phone that works properly.

I guess coming from a Samsung Epic, my definition of "laggy home screens" is a little different. From my perspective, the Photon is incredibly quick in every instance, including scrolling between home screens.

I'm on my 3rd EVO and it still has the same problems the others had. Screen freezes, green pictures, dark pictures in bright sunlight, piss poor reception which not only makes the phone useless but also kills the battery stupid fast.
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
Gave my 3devo back....suck phone, call dropping, screen freezing, no-add to the contact list, 4g dropping when 4g signal is stronger than 3g, battery lasting *maybe* 4 hours POS.
Yea, it was a nice toy, it just wasn't a phone in any aspect.
I will never own a HTC device again, they had thier chance and failed hard.

I was going to say the exact same thing - and there are many different launchers, widgets, etc that makes it very sense like anyways. The sense type dialer is important to me, and the Motorola one is strikingly similar.

You also need to keep in mind that somebody different has used that phone every few minutes and who knows what settings they may have changed. Widgets can also affect any phones' response, so you might want to strip those when you test. I don't have the slightest bit of lag on my phone using blur.
Hey guys this is just a really awesome app for your weather forecast.
I saw this the other day via an AndroidPolice article here, I tried it and I really like it, completely fully featured and looks great.
So just a heads up I'm sure you guys will like this, and head over to the Market to install for your very own
Very cool! Looks great, it's good to see something different.

My one and only complaint so far is that it shows chance of precipitation but doesn't show the predicted amount, aside from.that it's pretty much perfect for me, also it doesn't have a 5 or 7 day forecast widget but I wouldn't want that anyway
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
does it have ads that pop up? being free with no paid version i assumed it did.
edit: although i have adaway so guess i wouldn't see anyway.
Yeah the top does have the bar ads unfortunately, and what's adaway?

Well as far as the widget goes, beautiful widgets is better looking but less informative I think, and the actual full forecast part I think 1 weather is much better, but try for yourself

I have no problem with the size. It's great. Although some of the widgets looks small on that big screen. I don't have that gorilla hands, so I get short reaching the upper part of the screen when holding it both hands.
Awesome size! Can see a lot of stuff.

Believe it or not, it is actually SMALLER that the Dell Streak with an Otterbox case.
Had gotten used to the Streak over the past 16 months so this new one is a real treat in size as well as everything else.
Size
It is big even coming from the SkyRocket however function is great.
Honestly the Note has me looking ahead to an edge to edge screen which will reduce the width by 1/4" and height by 1/2". That is where the technology for screens is going and that will be perfect.
But after 12 hours I love it the only reason to return it will be the minors Lags but we should see that go away with Rooting and freezing the BS.
Love the size of the note. Definitely i can't operate with one hand but i can live with it.

I love the size. Watching movies on it is beautiful and I find it easier to type with two thumbs on the Note than I did on my Inspire.
I freaking love the size. Browsing is amazing on this thing. I'm actually using it to find a new place to live. Viewing pictures, reading descriptions, sending e-mails. Makin' it happen from my huge awesome phone/mini-tablet.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm really looking for a launcher to do separate portrait and landscape modes, I've heard of Sweeter Home 2 or ssLauncher, but really was hoping for a well know launcher to support this, any ideas?
Has anyone seen this thing work as a launcher? The video showed lots of set up stuff. With all the features and animation it might be laggy. I guess we'll see next week.

i bet this will be a huge battery intensive launcher although I do admit it does look pretty cool.
So the website is down now. Maybe to prepare for the launch?
Yeah, website not working for launch day. Oh well. Nothing really new but this launcher sure gives you everything in one package. Wow! It would be nice to take a look at it.
it will not come out until tonight stated on their blog so that might be this afternoon for us!
It's up for sale. $16.80!!!!
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tsf.shell
yeah I dont know if I will be spending that on this... it has to be more resource intensive than the standard TWLauncher. if not I would be surprised.....
Has anyone tried using them together? If so did they play nicely? I really like some of the features of GoLauncher, but on stock it seemed to slow my phone down quite a bit. Thinking about giving it another go, but decided I would see if anyone else has first.
GoLauncher (and all Go apps) are really bloated now, which is unfortunate because I used to love their SMS app and launcher. If it was laggy for you on stock it probably won't be much better on Beans. I would look into Nova.
I agree with the guy above. I would never use another "GO" product again. if you install any of them it also installs dozens of adds and click through links to the other products. Also it will just seem to make your phone come to a crawl.
Next launcher is pricey but its really nice. And the updates come faster then ROM updates. Great support and a lot of free themes now

$15.99 is a bit of a steep price tag for a launcher but if it exceeds at what it does and isn't filled with bloat I'd say its worth it.

It looks like it is not too bloated yet, but I 100% guarantee that it will be soon enough.
