Disable Scolling Cache - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

How to disable scrolling cache manually without flashing? This tweak is included to most custom roms but I don't want to use custom roms and other frameworks cause I'm afraid it will mess up some of my applications or phone features. My device is already rooted.

Sorry, wrong section. I'm about to transfer it but have no options.

wrong section dude.. post questions in general forum and search before posting!

[Q] Batista70 3.7.6 Rom Question

Hi,
I am a newbie with the scene to take it easy. Got my new S2 and i am keen to put Batista70 3.7.6 cutom rom on it. So my question is that if i use this custom rom on the phone, Am i correct in saying that i would still be able to download and use apps like Go Launcher EX and other apps from App Market?
The main thing i am after is better performance & less bloatware that come standard with Samsung.
Also from what i understand, the rom has underclocked CPU, GPU etc. Does that mean that i will slow my phones performance?
Thanks
Iru
why not go on the thread of batista and ask those questions there...alot of people who are using his rom are pretty helpful and would answer all your questions.. but anyhow the rom is one of the best around. you can download and use go launcher and launcher pro basically any launcher you want. im using touchwiz but go launcher is good and the same with launcher pro..i recommend go launcher cause you can download themes and other stuff from market. you can get those launchers for free or if you want extras you can get the pro versions but the free one is good to.
regarding the underclocking no it will not slow the performance of the handset and it will save you batterylife as well. dont try and changes settings on the cpu just flash the rom and enjoy it and any questions fire away in the batista thread and you are good to go

[Q] CyanogenMod does not send MMS

I am running a dualboot setup with rootet stock Samsung ROM, version 4.0.4 with Siyah kernel, and stable CyanogenMod, 9.1.0.
CyanogenMod is running very well, but it will only recieve MMS - but reception is handled very slowly - and it will not SEND MMS at all - and it really bothers me, because I would really like to use CyanogenMod.
It will connect to the network and run HSPDA+ on internet - no problem.
I have tried using the default APN settings that the system configures, I have tried copying the exact setting from the APN I am using under stock ROM, and in stock ROM I have no problem what so ever with MMS.
I have tried using handcent SMS and GO SMS PRO.
It just does not work.
I am a noob - I know.
But what can I do to get MMS to work?
EDIT: I'm from Denmark, and using CBB as provider, in case any danes are in here and know about this provider.
I had the same MMS problem a year ago when I was experimenting with CyanogenMod for HTC Wildfire S, but it was not a stable release at the time. I thought the problems was caused by an early porting attempt but know I simply don't understand the problem.

Questions belong in the Q&A forum, not the general forum.
However, CM9 has a dedicated thread for discussion. There's currently 43,124 posts in there. Others seem to have managed to use it, maybe you can too.

To choose the right ROM you need to be in the correct forum first (for your phone!) and to check for the android development sub forums, most ROMS land there... the kind developers that call xda home make a huge effort to make their ROM posts as informative and accurate as possible, they include tons of screenshots, the spec and features list for their ROMS, a couple of variants and mods sometimes, a changelog and the download links
For the S3, i've found the Siyah kernel to be the most reliable and battery efficient
And kernels are installed pretty much like any other flashable zip in most cases, power users do this with adb and some other methods i'm not aware of (and rather not be, i know the basics and most importantly, know how to follow instructions to the letter, doing this yourself will save you hours of frustration and anger)
As a personal note, the FoxHound rom for the S3 is mighty awesome, it comes with AROMA (a touch installer that pops up after you've begun to flash it with your recovery, it allows you to customize the ROM to your needs before starting to use it) and has TONS of options to tailor it to your preference, it also doesn't eliminate the samsung features completely (although you CAN eliminate them should you want it so)
I hope this was helpful
P.S: thank me if you like it, there's a button for it

You didn't state a question or told what your problem is. If you mean you get a force close when you go to Settings > Storage you have to read in the thread before asking here.

[Q] NeatRom Lite XWMS!

Hello everybody espicially _Sale_
Since I"m not allowed to post in development forums, I posted here..
Regarding NeatRom Lite XWMS1, I have two things:
1- How can I get rid of 23 toggles and get the original one with working mods like small or big AM PM and position of the clock... etc ??
2- How can I disable wallpaper scrolling withing TW launcher ?? because wallpaper scrolling is a bit annoying for me..
Looking forward for your responses
I really doubt that the NeatROM guys will see your post here. I don't know the answer as I'm not on NeatROM sorry. You could try posting in the thread stickied at the top of q&a by It_ler. I know a few NeatROM guys post in that thread so should be able to help.

toggles, another question
I don't have enough posts on XDA forum, and I can't ask in the NeatROM topic, so I'm asking here:
I am still using NeatROM Lite v4.9.1 with Blue Ginger Plus Theme. Whether, before flashing new v.5.4.2 NeatROM Lite, I need to do a full whipe or can I over existing version - just install new, without cleaning?
Another question is can I rearrange toggles buttons if I install Blue Ginger Plus theme?
OK...I'll answer the first part of your question:-
I always wipe when moving from an AOSP based rom to Samsung/TW based rom or vice versa. I also tend to wipe when moving to a completely different rom, even if it's the same base (I just like how the phone operates after a clean install when switching roms), though whether you do this is up to you (and depends on what the dev of the rom in question says; if he says wipe, you do it). When flashing a different build of the same rom, I normally only wipe if there's been a change in Android versions (from 4.2 to 4.3, as an example). If it's the same rom/same Android version, I tend to do a dirty flash & just wipe cache/Dalvik.
As I mentioned above, the caveat over all of what I've said is the flashing instructions for a particular rom/build of a particular rom, if the dev says wipe in the instructions, you do it. Always. If the dev says a wipe isn't necessary, then you don't need to unless you want to/or run into problems.
Your 2nd question re: toggles on that theme will have to be answered by someone else/someone who uses the rom.
Edit - Also, before you flash any rom, even a new build of your current rom or nightly (or any mod for that matter), do a nandroid backup. Always. That way, if you do run into problems after flashing a new build, you can always restore your nandroid/go back to the previous build & try the flash again/whatever.
Okay, thanks for the reply. Surely, I thought to do a backup. First, I'll try just wipe cache/Dalvik and if there's a problem then I will go to full wipe.
Regarding toggles arrangement, I thought that would be someone who already uses 5.4.2 NeatROM with Blue Ginger Plus Theme. This remains to me that I try.
THX again.
