I have been running Res 2.2 for a while now. For the better of the last 3 weeks and have noticed one thing. When I am charging the phone at night and leave it on all night it shows 100% on the screen. Yet when I unplug the phone, it goes down to either 85% or this morning it dropped to 51%. Any ideas on what the trick is to solve this issue?
I have done battery stat wipes in CWM to see if that helps but no dice. Any suggestions or fixes are greatly appreciated.
KGB Kernel will fix the trickle charge issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely try it out tonight.

First off, picked up 2 GTabs yesterday and thanks for all of the work everyone has done to make these tablets better. And my first question of probably many.
Our Battery level indicators have not gotten back up to 100%. Yesterday when I was flashing the roms they would get to 97%, and after charging over night they showed 96%. Didn't know if there was a way to calibrate the level there or not.
Thanks.

I'm not sure if this will work but, if you can get into recovery mode:
Press and Hold down "Volume Up" Button and then press Power Button until you see a messege on the upper left hand corner that says something like.
"Detect a recovery Key pressed"
From the recovery menu, select ADAVNCED, then WIPE BATTERY STATS.
I've never had an issue with the battery on my GTAB but maybe it will help.
Good luck
That's very helpful, thanks! I was havng the 96%/97% maximum charge issue as well.
Running TNTLite 4.2.3.
Going to go ahead and drain the tabs down today and let them charge to full overnight one last time. If they still give me trouble I'll try the battery stats wipe.
Thanks.
I have the same thing happen to me after I flashed.
It only charges to 97%
I tried wiping the battery stats but it still only charges to 96/97
running vegan 5.1.1
I'm having the same issue. Hmm
VEGAn 1.00 beta 5.1.1
Hi everyone.
Had this exact same issue.
was using ZEAM for my launcher,
once I switched to Launcher Pro, my battery level now shows 100% when the charge light is green.
Not quite sure how this is related to ZEAM, but I used ZEAM for my launcher on both TNT and VEGAn Tab and had the battery level issue - would never charge past 96 or 97%.
hope this helps!
running launcher pro and vegan...still nothing past 97%...have wiped battery stats etc..
Mine only shows 96-97%, but actual battery life is excellent.
Success! Sort of. I'm experiencing the same issue, but I've been able to get the battery to display 100% but charging it up to full, unplugging and using for a few minutes and then plugging the tablet back in. This trick doesn't work every time but I have been able to get to 100% a few times. This expirement was performed on Vegan tab and Pershoot's February 18th kernel.
Weird... Mine is doing this too (vegan rom). My battery life is excellent but I'm still obsessing over that last 3%... At least its good to know is not just me.
Has anyone found a fix yet? I'll probably try draining the battery and charging it; we'll see what happens.

Corresponding values Volt-percent are hard coded in software (100% - 4.2V per cell).
Trying to top off your battery, charging circuit may malfunction and battery may be overcharged. Anything more then that and lipo (battery) will degrade chemistry very rapidly.
97% is about 4.15 - you are not losing much capacity, but your battery will hold much more cycles in a long term run.
Mine used to charge up to about 96%, now it never goes above 94%. I'll try wiping battery stats in CWM and see if that changes.
Hey dev's! I hope you have the solution to this... but maybe the problem is my battery is dead... :S
3 days ago I installed Cyanocomb, and everything worked right (after clean installation and wiping all the data and stats, including battery stats) but the problem is, when i put the carger at night, next morning the battery was completeley empty! (and I was near to arrive late at work because of the alarm )
I investigated, and saw that when the battery reached the 100%, it doesn't stay between 95%-100%, It only stops charging and drains very quickly.
I changed the Rom recently to Cyanogen Froyo CM6 6.01 and.... It still drains. Maybe I killed my battery? Maybe it's a callibration problem? (I deleted battery stats and used the battery callibration app, but it stil drains...)
Yeah, I know, It sounds bad for my old battery
Thanks for all the advices!!!
Try repairing your phone via seus and see how your battery is on the stock rom
Sent from my U20i using XDA App
After clean install of the CM6 ROM again, and callibrating the battery 3 times, It seems to work nice again... I hope I'll not arrive late again because of the alarm! XD Thanks pal!
How did you calibrate it??? I´m with a similar issue so i would like to know the process, I was looking for some information and I found this but I'm not sure if it will work on mini pro :S

Cwm advance setting wipe batery stats
After a week, yesterday the same problem again... The battery stopped charging, when I unplug the carger and plug again, It seems to charge 5% more, but a minute later it begins to drain again...
I tried to calibrate (I'm currently using Battery Calibrator form market), but after wiping stats and let it full drain, It needs a lot of time (red light blinking) until I can connect it, but after that it charges only 5-10% and begin to drain again.
I came back to stock ROM, and It is charging again!!! But why with a custom ROM am I experiencing this problem? (CM6 6.01)
Hmm, thats really interesting! I "caught" this issue too lol
Yesterday I installed cyanocomb 1.4 and before I went sleep the battery was on 50%.
After I woke up (~10 hours), the battery totally died. This is surprised me. I put the phone to charge (not from USB), and thats charged fully. Okay, I thought I let it charge a bit more and I will make a battery stat wipe. But after a while, I checked it again, and the battery was on 89% WTF?!
Please, forget this, now my phone is being repaired, it was a hardware problem (I guess is the USB connector)
When the support work is done, I will tell you the conclusions.
Ok, now the phone is repaired, and the problem was the USB connector. No software problem.
Problem solved, theme closed.
So just the other day my phone would start randomly rebooting and it only seems to do it when the batter power is lower, like less than 50%. Ive been running the same rom (mikrunny 1.7) for well over a month and have had it oc'd the whole time to 1.5 and never had an issue before now.
It was doing it last night again. It was around 55% when it started. I left it turned off for a bit while we drove home from the bar and when I got home and rebooted it and now read 7%. Shut it back off and let it charge off over night. Booted up this morning and its now at 80% when it was definitely showing the green light saying it was fully charged.
So battery going bad or do I need to recalibrate it? Already ordered a HTC oem battery from amazon (it was 7.50, didnt realize they were so cheap!) so hopefully it is the battery and not something else.

Once you get your new battery it would be easy to see if the battery can be the issue. I have 3 batteries myself and I notice once that one of them was always causing my phone to random reboot. I color coded all 3 batteries to keep track of them and I notice that anytime the "red" battery was in the phone it would reboot while below the 50% mark.
I have replaced that battery and haven't had this issue, I'm rooted running a stock kernel and ROM so I could say that it may have relation to the battery.
I tried to get alogcat but nothing would show because the log would clear at boot. It can be a reaction to an inconsistency on the batteries voltage.
Are you on newest radio? I flashed the updated radio and started getting random reboot. I flashed back to radio 2.08, all reboots stopped.
I was having this problem with two separate ROMs until I reverted radio.

Hello,
Originally I was running CleanROM 5.6 and felt like trying a new some. I decide to give SynergyROM r484 a chance, a while a few minor bugs bothered me, I really like the ROM. However, the battery is giving me some issues. Two nights ago after setting up r484 I let it charge overnight to 100%, when I got home the phone was at like 24% and eventually the battery went to 16%. It stayed at16% for a looooong time and then shut up. I tried charging the phone and after 4 hours it only charged to 20%. I shut it off and turned it on again after a 3 minute "break" and the battery was at 47% instead of previously at 20%. I drained the battery fully and then again charged it overnight fully to 100% while the phone was off. I was thinking maybe I fixed the issue, but right now I got home like 20 minutes ago and my battery life is decreasing at a "steady" pace but now it's stuck on 23% and has been for a little long time. I feel that my battery is probably around 15% in actuality. It seems upon installing SynergyROM r484, when the battery gets low... it doesn't display the correct percentage and I feel that's a huge issue. I'm also running leankernel 2.2 if that's an issue? I really would like to use this ROM, and while it's functional this battery issue is a serious problem and I'm thinking of flashing to CleanROM 6.0 for something more stable.
Does anyone else have this problem? I was hoping if anyone had any idea of a fix or something along those lines.
Thank you for reading,
Zealex.
Hi guys, I just bought this device and when I charged it for the first time, the battery didn't go above 94%. I tried the following things already:-
1. Downloaded a battery stats app, it showed full on 94%
2. Turned it off and waited for it to get 100, still stuck at 94%
3. Downloaded Ampere apps and found out that it stops taking in volts after 94%
4. Tried non-root calibration apps.
None of these worked until now. Is anyone else also facing this issue? Please give further ideas to help me fixing it.
And if anyone is aware, please tell me if it could be a defective piece (hardware issue).
Thank you very much!
Im also facing this issue.
which rom?
in this topic, a user explained how they resolved this issue
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5/help/help-96-battery-t3786838
I had no issue until i installed crdroid 8.1 rom and the battery stuck at 99% and starts discharging, sxitched back to stock miui and the issue is still there, what i did is battery calibration (root methode) and since it's ok
