Where are you located? What carrier are you on? OTA doesn't work on all carriers.

I don't know anyone who has had the OTA update, Just use PC Companion.
If your phone isn't unlocked you will most likely not have the update yet so u will have to wait or flash it.

you've 2.3.4 uk generic, unlock your phone, root it and flash it.

I did the update 3-4 days ago, no issues whatsoever. Can't understand the reason if you haven't tempered with the official rom.

I have downloaded update from Samsung-updates.com then using Odin 3.0.7 checked the option nand erase then I got the latest XXUAMI3 update via ota, successfully updated to the latest firmware.

Just a quick question. I used to be rooted, now im not running 4.1.2 stock because I heard about the 4.3 update for s3 is now in ireland! (Waiting for uk now ) My device status however says normal, does this mean I can still recieve the OTA update? I just heard that if the device status isn't correct then it wont let you download it? Thanks guys!

Lock the bootloader, update to 290 and root again. Use your eyes and read. It's new year so don't expect any quality stuff from me.
