What APK can I find the stock TIME widget in? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Hey folks,
I was doing some house cleaning with the APPS and one of them has the stock TIME WIDGET. Can someone tell me the APK that it is in and I will restore it.
Thanks,
Alperin1

Issues with the Stock Android Calendar (NOT TW)

Okay, perhaps old new now....
In regards to the stock android calendar. I have it installed, no problems at all. I grabbed the .apk from the eclair rom of CM 5.0.8.
Whats up with the white bar at the top of the calendar?
It shows that I have items... but when you click on the day, nothing shows up?
I can go to agenda and see the items that way....
I put how to install the stock calendar in the sticky thread. Would like to know if there is an answer to these problems ASAP so I don't mess anyone up.
In unrelated news, just discovered this is my 1kth post.
Apparently a file in the framework-res.apk needs to be swapped out with a blank .png. Drexman8244 references it in his thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=772938.
framework-res.apk > res > drawable-hdpi
That's about as far as I got so far since I don't yet know how to repackage this into a working .apk. Maybe this will help someone come up with a fix.
Thanks man, I sent him a PM. Hopefully he can hook me up....
No problem. Let me know what happens, as I'd like to fix this too if I can.

as for the repacking and making it a working apk, i took the simple approach and used android commander to sign the apk then pushed it and it worked like a charm for me.
Awesome, I'll check that out. Thanks.
I'm not familiar with android commander... What have I been missing?

[q] cognition 1.07 gs2

Really liking the ROM so far. Just one thing while removing the "Samsung Bloatware" I wish there was a way to re-install these as I really like the stock samsung email app. In my opinion it is far superior to the Gmail app as it allows you to pinch and zoom the email.
Does anyone know if there is a place to install this???
Thanks a lot!
In the Cognition thread, there is all the info you need. The link to all removed apps was provided, and you can just download and install what you need. I've included the info below for your reference. Note you need to copy the apk's to /system/app via Root Explorer or similar...you can't install them as normal apk's or they won't work. Just move them to the right place and reboot the phone.
Removed Apps:
(copy apk's /system/app, don't try to install them normally, it won't work)

Awesome, I don't know how I missed this. I re-installed the digital clock! I still don't know what file to add to system/app for the email app to function properly since it says I need to register social hub. So using common sense, I installed the social hub apk but still the same cycle I mentioned earlier. Also does anyone know what the news and weather apk is called??? Thanks again! Happy Independance Day to my neighbours to the south!

Usually DG has his own app in the ROM and on the device that allows you to check off and download which Samsung Apps you want. Its a nice feature. Sort of like an onboard Kitchen.

[Q] Misbehaving App after png reskin

Hi everyone,
I have a problem I hope someone will be able to help me with. I decided to try and make the background of a widget from a certain application translucent, so it would better fit with my homescreen. So I just made an empty transparent png file with the same resolution as the original widget background, renamed the apk file to zip and, using 7zip replaced the appropriate files within the zip/apk.
Afterwards I put the modified apk on my internal sd, removed the widget from my homescreen and then with root explorer moved the modified apk to the app directory.
So far everything works just fine and the re-added widget now has a transparent background.
However, every time I turn the phone off or reboot the widget is gone and the application is greyed out in the app drawer (with an sd card icon instead of the real app icon).
If I try to start the application it will say that it's currently not installed.
The only way to get it working again is to restore the app with TitaniumBackup, then uninstall it again (thus removing the grey and the original icon), restore it once more via TitaniumBackup and then finally again replace it with the modified apk.
I have also tried to force TitaniumBackup to backup the modified version of the app but that didn't work out very well - it fails to be restored.
Ideas, anyone?

I hope this is the right forum for this question - if it isn't please kindly advise me as to which is.

Thanks for your reply prodygee - I'll see what I can do about it then.
Also, sorry for the shameless bumping.
I'll just let the thread vanish into the depths of the forum now.
*edit2*
Also found some other interesting threads somewhat related to that problem:

WHY does everyone bump his own thread. CHRIST....
You can't just go changing files inside of an APK expecting it'll work. You have to recompile the whole apk.
Just stumbled across this. I had this same problem when i re-skinned a flashlight app.
While i didnt try this im sure it will be your solution.
Take the app, do your edits then follow the steps in this post from step 3 onwards to
sign the apk then install it as usual with a file manager :

[Q] Don't like the ICS Youtube widget, can install GB version?

Hey guy's,
I would like the youtube widget from GB back instead of the new ICS widget.
I extracted the 'com.google.android.youtube-2.apk' from a CWM gingerbread backup.
I delete the current youtube apk from the phone.
I installed the extracted youtube.apk to the phone.
Great, got the widget back.. but it crashes.. the GB version doesn't work on ICS
Anyone got a solution?
Regards,
~Trail.
I can't believe the rest of the world seems to like the new youtube widget...
hahahahahahahaha i think is a good widget i think that could be possible if you found some old Youtube apk and delete the new one and replace it with the old one...

Need Calendar Widget APK for ICS

I guess I deleted it. I think it was S Planner? Is that it?
Could someone direct me to where I could find it to just throw it into System/App?
I could just re-flash, but I'm feeling lazy.
