[Q] Lifetime Call Timer - HTC Rezound

Does anything like this exist on the Rezound and if so, how do I access it?

It has one kinda, but it can be wiped with a new rom or factory reset

Is this fixable?

Permanently rooted. Without realizing it, I wiped out all custom roms that were installed in the phone. As far as I know, all it needs is some roms since its technically "empty" with no programs running the phone.

Can this phone be fixed and or still used?
Thanks, Slim!
Yes.

At a time phone can have only one ROM installed.. just download a ROM of your choice from " Rezound Android Dev" threads and flash on to your device
Unless you have boot manager.

Boot manager is an app that lets you dual boot roms. If you don't know about it you probably don't have it. You have to put it on your phone manually
Man this just seems fishy. If they knew how to "empty" out a phone they could have easily put it back to stock at least. Sounds like there's something else wrong with the phone and this is just a cover.

Unless he doesnt know what he is talking about and what he actually did was wipe system in recovery. If this is the case, yes its "fixable".

Safe to flash radios on boost?

Hello again. I'm here with another question from 3d land.
My EVO 3D CDMA is flashed to Boost Mobile (meid/esn was changed). I see that the new ota is available.
Is it safe to flash this firmware? Will it reset my esn/meid to the original?

I'm 98% sure you will have no problem with the esn/meid reverting
did you flash yourself (have donor) or not?

Nevermind.
Verified that flashing the new firmware does NOT affect boost mobile flash.

Hey do u have radio disconnect like alot of us are having. Can't seem to figure this out. I have 2 EVO 3ds one is s on and has no root even on stock gingerbread. The other one is s off with cool Rom v7 with latest firmware and I still random straight to voicemail problems. When I call out it returns to normal. I'm going to try something else tomorrow I'm going to turn this phone off and turn my diner back on for the day and see if it is happening on the doner.

you can check your "accloc"...(something like that)...settings in qpst.....the lower the number, the higher priority your phone has on the tower. (2) is a good number to be set at....i think boost default is (5)

Hack an Android device

Hi I was wondering if someone can tell me how to get into an android device that has a lock on it. I mean if the phone has a pattern or what not and you don't know the Google account password. Please tell me how to do this. I hope I posted this in the right place.
Living The Good Life
Why are you trying to gain access to a phone that is obviously not your own?
I mean, if it was your phone, you'd at least know the Google account.

If the phone has adb/USB debugging on, it is possible to gain access to it. But only then.

Is ADB Debugging turned on in the phone? If so then you can, if it is not turned on then i dont think there is a way to communicate with it.

I need the data to stay on the phone
Living The Good Life
if you need the data intact, then you will need linux setup like ubuntu. adb debugging on the phone. setup ubuntu for android sdk linux. Then you can use p2p adb from kos. If you dont need the data intact, then you can do as stated above, data wipe. I would just google around. im not sure how ok it is to post on this subject, so thats all im going to say. hope you get it worked out.

[Q}Storage space and App2sys

First, in looking through the phone storage, 32g, I see a spot marked "other". It started out at 6g being used and is now up to 10. What is the deal with that and how do I clean it up? I've already removed most of the bloatware, but I have a feeling this is Rom related.
Second: Using Rom Toolbox I try to move certain apps to system from data, mainly my Power Toggle app. I get it moved but then I have to go back in and re-enable the notification widget portion of it. No big there. But after a reboot, the app completely disappears from the phone so I have to reinstall it from Play. Might this have anything to do with the S-on? Or is this related to it being the stock rom and not a custom?
Some ideas would be much appreciated/

Well unless your on a custom rom that allows write to system then whatever you change pertaining to the system will revert upon reboot.

Apparently even though you're rooted, the system folder cannot be overwritten which is where the host file is located. I've noticed a few "root" apps don't work properly because of this. Not sure how to fix this......

How is this done? What happens when there is an update to the ROM? Will there be any data loss/feature loss when switching the kernel?

If you are rooted you can't get OTA's anyway. Look in the main HTC One forums, the kernels there have steps you can follow to install them.
since I installed this ROM:
Android Revolution HD:

I know I can't get OTA's, but I meant just flashing an updated ROM. Also what does modifying kernels affect? Data loss? Feature loss? Please let me know. Most importantly I do not want to lose WiFi Calling.

Get the ROM I linked, you still get all the features of the stock ROM and way better performance and batterylife, and you still get WiFi Calling on the phone. I love the ROM and it has the camera and GPS fixes that T mobile hasn't given us yet.
yeap what he said. most of the international roms are bug free and lean as **** now. almost all of them have setups for ATT/TMO/international. (sorry sprint you got ****ed)
i'm on ordroid 4.2.0 and se7en kernel. and everything works fine. the nice thing about the international roms are they are rebased on the international 1.29 version of the rom that HTC has already pushed out. But since carriers love to push bloatware and test the roms to make sure they dont break the phones it will take a while before TMO or even ATT to have the 1.29 version of the roms out.

The ROM comes with the new Kernel, you have to reset your phone though when coming from the stock ROM. All you need to do is flash the ROM off his thread and it contains everything you need, no need to flash anything else.

I also rooted my phone and opted to keep everything stock. But I knew I'd have to flash a new kernel, so I flashed this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258352
So far, it's been fantastic, and WiFi calling still works! Some added features are menulogo, and swipe to wake up. This way I get to keep everything stock with all the added benefits of root.
