hi all. i just purchased a Ployer Momo8 tablet and it came with Android 4.0 and ICS. i really like the tablet, especially for the extremely low price of $150. my question is, does anyone know of any custom ROMS for this tablet, because it needs serious optimization. especially considering that i have an rooted EVO running a Team Nocturnal ROM fully loaded, so my EVO runs circles around this tablet. i've searched google for custom ROMS for this tablet, but come up with nothing, especially for the 4.0.
Thanks all

im sure im not the only one who would LOVE to have a brand new iPhone for its minimalist aesthetics, plus all the slick cases and docks and such out there, but successfully running the nerd-core Android OS.
now im no software dev, so ive been looking around at Chinese iPhoneys trying to find one that runs ICS, to my dismay. i have found a few solid looking alternatives which are running (i believe) MIUI'd versions of 2.2.
so what im getting at here is, is there anything going on for these devices? from the looks of it they can be had for under $150.
lots of looks but no replies.
could there be other interested parties? i'd chip in for a chinese iphone for the devs
Hi guys, after I bricked my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 I just get HTC Flyer. I don't wanna to brick or damage my tablet again so im going to ask 2 times before i'll do something with my tab lol This tablet is laggy as hell, can you guys tell me what I need to do so the tablet will run smoothly? I mean new rom, new launcher etc. Currently I have GO Launcher and it looks good but it's still laggy If you guys can tell me how I can upgrade my Flyer so it will to maximum of it capacity and will run super smoothly then please share
Hard to know what you mean by "laggy". I mean, we are talking about a device that is 20 months old. Its simply not going to perform as smoothly as newer devices.
But if the phone is on Honeycomb, you might find that downgrading to Gingerbread to be a bit smoother. You might also look at flashing an AOSP ROM (may lose some functionality, like the pen) or a Sense-based ROM that has the Sense components removed.
Hello everyone,
I know there are many question similar to mine. However, I did my research and I'm still confused.
I am using a galaxy s1 i9000. I wanted to get the nexus 4 but I was shocked when I found out that the Asus padfone 2, which has almost the same hardware, scored higher in benchmarks with stock android without heating up or reaching a threshold, so it was hard to choose a phone that required modding and development to work at its best.
So, my question is, which phone is the best when it comes to:
1- android development support.
2- gaming (without the need to tinker with the phone)
3- (not so important) looks.
PS: I know the s3 is good, but it's too plastic-ish and doesn't feel right. And the new HTC one is really ugly.
I wouldve gotten the padfone 2 if it had some android support, but it doesnt.
Thanks and sorry for the long post.
Hello, so a couple of days ago I got a new smartphone (chinese brand) called "Mren C1", currently running Android 4.2.1 (Kernel 3.4.5) and wanted to know if I could upgrade to 4.3 JB since it's alot more interesting and as far as I heard in some cases it even performs faster on some apps. When I first heard about getting this smartphone (mom's idea) I was thinking of selling it or not even getting it at all but it's a pretty nice phone even if I've never heard of this brand called "Mren", let alone the fact that it's a chinese brand. On both AnTuTu and Quadrant I get pretty nice results (around 4000 on Quadrant and 13200-13400 on Antutu).
So, is there any possible way to upgrade this phone to Android 4.3 JB?
Thanx.
Hi guys! Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.
Looking for a budget and by budget i mean something thats cheap and cheerful and does the job for facebook games. This is for a friend of mine basically and I have looked at the phones hes interested in so far but I cant find any that have a development base out there.
Want something that can be upgraded or alternative roms placed on it should he get bored of it. As thus far I've only seen some devices out there on 4.4.2 and would like one that could be upgraded to 4.4.4 or even 5 when it gets released.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
