U20I multitouch problem (real problem) - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

HY guys,
I had used my x10 mini pro as my first phone back than (with cm7, with 2.1.1.a.0.6 firmware with multitouch, jit etc etc), but I haven't been using it a whilesince i got my new phone, so it was just lyed on my shelf so I picked it up cleaned and installed with the original SE-rom (2.1.1.C.0.0) to my carrier it is relaesed for the pc companion in this year! BTW i have used it before just to try out and after that I had multitouch...
SO the problem is since I updated my phone to 2.1.1.C.0.0 firmware it's a crazy **** it won't let me to use multitouch in cm7pro v21/ 2.1.1.a.0.6 firmware back-uped from CWM, no where!!! so guys I'm asking you a question, WHAT THE HACK IS WRONG WITH MY PHONE??? since the 2.1.1.C.0.0 firmware, flashed with pc companion
PLEASE HELP ME!!!

When you updated to 2.1.1.C.0.0 it also updated the kernel to that version and the dt module of MiniCMPro only works with A.0.6 kernel.

The kernel is the same .29 as it was since 2.1.0.a.0.6, but is there a special driver? can you help me with the multi-touch?

Kernels report same version but are different.

[Q] updating firmware from custom rom

i am running a miui 2.2 on .49 baseband. if i were to plug my phone into seus will it update to the latet .55 baseband or i have to restore the original se rom onto my phone and then plug it into seus?
thanks in advance
It should update (downgrade...) your phone.
But why not use FlashTool instead?

it'll reinstall the se 2.1 with .55 baseband and .435 firmware?
flashtool breaks sometimes. i had an occasion where i was flashing my dualtouch kernal and my phone was stuck at Se logo. had to repair with seus
Flash tool doesn't break. It could be your USB port (dont use a hub, i had this issue) or a misstep in the procedure. The flash tool can be used to upgrade just the baseband without the firmware, its the only way to do that.

If you use SEUS it automatically updates everything to latest release from your carrier. If you wanna run anything custom you should just use the flash tool.
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
I've got no issues on using a powered usb hub for SEUS and flashing the dualtouch kernal when the .435 firmware was not out yet.
so now the firmware doesnt really matter? like for J's 2.3.3 i can run on .24 or .435 firmware but i MUST have .52bb. is that right?
now lets say i want the 2.1 honeycomb rom that requires .55 bb and .435 firmware, i have to flash the .55bb then the .435fw via flashtool?
Depending on the specs of a powered hub you might not have problems but flashtool (dunno about seus) can be finicky if it doesnt have a fast enough connection (mine would hang at about 70 percent flashed, without the hub it was no problem)
Yes the basebands can be changed without changing your base firmware.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
The custom rom changes the firmware. It says its dependant on that firmware because of the included baseband (which is what it is really dependant on) basebands can now be flashed without the stock firmwares.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
So now let's say I'm running on a miui which requires. 49 bb. I flash the. 55bb on it, reboot once, and flash the new Rom over it? But since the miui that I have doesn't work on .55 bb won't it not boot? Or go erratic or sth?
Yep, if the firmware, ie MIUI is not compatible with 54 - 55 base band, it will boot loop and or force close .... Clubfreaks modded A version of MIUI that works for the newer Bbands too!! Tweaked it a bit and it works well!!!
Enjoy!

[Q] MiniCM v2 (by slade87) question.

1. rom install in this process VS Flash ROM 2.1.1.A.0.6 what is best method?
2. in former method, included baseband install process..
U20i 2.1.1.A.0.6 Baseband 015.7z
or
U20i 2.0.2.A.0.24 Baseband 006.7z
What files should I install?
3. non-overclock version occurs lack?
You should get the one with baseband 015 then you can install slade's ROM.

OK, thanks.
no answer to question number 1 & 3?
Oh sorry kinda skipped that hehe.
You have been answered here a couple mins ago so you might want to look at that too.
I'll quote here anyway

1. the best method is the flash method because you get all the updated baseband and kernel.
2. Just flash the rom to the recent one 2.1.1.A.0.6 baseband 015 because new rom that slade develop uses new baseband and FW 2.1.1.A.0.6
3. non overclock version just a standard with standard CPU on 600mhz and undervolted and overclock version is a CPU overclocked to 710mhz or upper via Cynogemod/Performance/CPU settings and also undervolted.
hope this will answer your question

1. I wouldn't know, I got my 2.1.1.A.0.6 update thru SE.
3. By lack you mean lag? If so I haven't encountered anything like that yet, maybe I haven't pushed my phone to the limit but it's been running really smooth for me on non-overclock version.

Hi, welcome to XDA developers!
I'll try and help as much as possible...
Which kernel are you on? Stock or some custom kernel?
Thank you, I use Stock Rom, I thing it's Stock kernel. I tried to test many of the original Rom but the situation has not improved.
Another problem is that after many tests, I found only when using GoogleMaps with 3G, the machine I was reboot, if used with wifi is fine. So is 3G is the problem? but I still surf the Web using 3G normally without any problems. Hope your help!

Hi, it might be baseband problem, maybe baseband .71 isn't for you... Try this:
9Lukas5 said:
- Baseband 2.1.67
- smsBB67 patch
- Kernel upgrade
flashing procedure:
-The baseband and the kernel upgrade must be placed in the firmwares folder from flashtool and the sms patch on to the sdcard.
-After you have flashed the rom and the xrecovery now also flash the sms patch before remove the battery.
-In Flashtool flash first the 2.1.67 Baseband, after flashing finished, remove usb cable and select the kernel upgrade and connect the usb again when flashtool asks.
-After both (bb and kernel upgrade) flashed, you can remove the usb-cable and power on the device with everything working on bb 2.1.67.

Yep now flash bb67 via flashtool.
After that you will need to flash Kernel UpGrade.
If you need help with flashtool you can ref here:

[Q] upgrade to 2.1.1.C.0.0 SE firmware

Hi everyone.
I've been reading the new nAa's post about nightly MiniCM7, and it say we need the latest 2.1.1.C.0.0 SE firmware.
I'd like to know how to upgrade, because as i know, pc companion does not provide this firmware. Also i read about 3g and other problems after installing 2.1.1.C.0.0.
So, what do you guys know about 2.1.1.C.0.0?
Thanks a lot. I own an X10MP with 2.1.1.A.0.6 firmware.

I'm not sure what problems 2.1.1.c.0.0 has as regards to data/3g networking, but if you want it there are a few roms based on this version that are just modded stock firmwares in the x10minipro dev section.
Try these on your phone, and if they pose no trouble for you, use them if you want to produce your own MiniCM7 build.
This one for example.
Ok..that *clean* rom is based on 2.1.1.C.0.0.
So there's a stock (official or not) 2.1.1.C.0.0 firmware? That's the thing i need to try de nightlys MiniCM ?
Thanks buddy. You allways help me :good:

Yeh, the underlying system is what you need, and that's the correct version so it should work. The guy that made that just removed a lot of useless apps to maximize it for internal and ram space and make it faster, but the base system is still stock firmware.
