[Q] Volume issues [CM6.2 4/15]

As the title indicates I am having some issues with the volume level of EVERYTHING in CM6.2 4/15 ROM with PBJ 4/15 VooDoo -100.
Calls in the earpiece are really low, switching to speaker is about the same, ringer and notifications are pretty low. Now I am not hearing impaired or anything but most times things are just too loud around me. I have also heard that no one can hear me either so the amplification on the speaker is probably set pretty low too.
On a semi-related note, when the phone rings it only rings once and then stops (some may call this a feature).
A) is there a way to boost the overall volume in CM6?
B) is there a setting I should be aware of for the ringer issue?
Thanks
T1
No idea's at all about at least the ringer issue?

I am having issues as well on CM6.2 4/18. No outgoing ringtone except to *228 and speaker phone volume is very low.

Glad I am not the only one.
Earpiece is slightly louder than 4/15 but still low in 4/18.
Ringer still rings only once and is faint.

Is there a config file someplace where volume boost can be changed?

I also encountered the low phone volume issue
I also encountered the low phone volume issue, both for CM6.2 and CM7.

[Q] How can I increase speaker's volume?

Hi guys, I've the last stock 2.3.6 rom with CF-Root. Some days ago I tried the CM9 and the speaker volume was very high! I set my sms sound (TaDa) and it worked very well with an high sound! But now with the stock samsung rom volume is very low. Is there any way or a tweak to increase speaker's volume?
I've tried Volume+ in the market but it doesn't work because it needs a custom ROM and not a stock rom, and Vodoo Louder doen't set the speaker's volume but only the headphone volume.
Any suggestion?
You can try AudioBoost SGS2, it's paid application from market. Should increase you phone volume. Hope this help.
Mate might help to search the forum first, plus possibly ask questions in the right section. Also take a look at custom roms some have the volume boosted already. Just a word of advice or you'll get an infraction or banned ;-)

AudioBoost SGS2 does work for external speaker. Just be careful

[Q] Microphone setting

is there a setting page for microphone on Amaze?
the microphone works for recording a video, not working when phone call, record a voice clip or voxer. actually on voxer, it is really low.
do I have a defective phone or some setting is not right.
stock rom, just updated to ICS, didn't really try before updates, just got the phone.
LMAO... There's a volume rocker on side of phone buddy... Prolly a broken device

Pretty much the only way I know to adjust volume for phone calls is with the rocker button on the side. So you need to be like on a call then press the rocker button and it should adjust the volume for phone calls. As far as voxer I've never used that app but know the concept maybe there's a volume setting within the app. But if you continue with these issues maybe try a factory reset and reinstall everything, or maybe you do have a defective phone.

There's also some volume control apps on the market free, maybe you could give those a try.

[Q] Sync Ringer and Notification Volume?

Is there a way to make the ringer and notification volumes to be linked together so they both change to when I use my volume buttons? The buttons only change the ringer volume and I want it to change both ringer and notification volumes together.
I tried Quick Settings from the Play store which I have used on other phones to "link" the volumes. But it doesn't do that on my SGS3. I have tried a couple other apps that say they do that, but again they don't link the volumes together on my SGS3. Anybody know how to do this?
Having trouble with AudioGuru (paid). It doesn't seem to effect the volume either. Alert function not adjusting the alert.
More details.
With the Alert Notification sound set in GoSMS, the phone Alert Notification sound is different. AudioGuru only shows the Phone Alert Notification sound not the GoSMS Alert Notification sound. When muting the AudioGuru 'Alert' only the Phone Alert Notification sounds is muted. The GoSMS Alert Notification sound is not effected thus not muted etc..
I hope we find a fix to this. I'll be checking back but I too would like both these sounds to be at the same level. Thinking I had my phone on silent and then getting slammed with a notifcation ring is not what I intended.
Wait.. they aren't pre linked?

I will be watching this thread too. I have tried many apps on the market that said it could link ringer and notification sounds, but none of them worked. Hopefully there is a workaround for this. When I turn my volume all the way down, I assume it will make no noise. Then I had my email sound go off at 3AM when I was sleeping. Not what I wanted at all. Many phones have this option in the sound settings, so I don't see why Samsung couldn't have put that in here.

^^^ This.
I've spent the last day un-TouchWiz'ing the phone as much as possible (replacing apps with AOSP ones, launcher with Trebuchet, etc) but this volume thing is driving me batty.
I have been able to get the ringer and officiating sounds to "link" using the Go Switch widget. It works all the time when you open the widget and check the box to link the two and adjust the volume while the widget is open but Ive also got it working otherwise but this is spotty.
Yes! i would love to have the 2 linked. When I first got the phone I couldnt figure out why the ringer was so low and the Notifications were so loud.

stock roms vs aosp, Volume boost?

I notice on AOSP roms the sound isn't as high when playing music. On stock samsung roms its way higher, is there anyway of getting max output on aosp roms? n
Not sure if it will help or not, but worth a try...
Have you tried ant of the volume management apps in the play store yet? Just curious.

Try installing the Fluxxi Kernel; it has options (in xxTweaker) to provide an analog boost to your volume. Oddly enough, I have the exact opposite problem: even on the lowest volume in AOSP I can hear my calls (not ringer, actual calls) through a closed door XD
