Hi everyone, any idea or solution to manage to save the Static IP config?
Try an app like WiFi Static from Google Play. I'm sure there are others, search on GP.

Hi all,
is it possible to run an internal DNS server on Android? I am looking for a solution similar to bind9 on Linux (e.g., h**p://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=236093) that allows to define DNS zones, i.e., all DNS requests are first of all redirected to 127.0.0.1 and then forwarded based on the predefined DNS zones.
Unfortunately, I didn't find aything about this, so I was wondering if it's possible at all in Android?
Thanks,
Chris
I'm trying to publish an application to the Play store using a private channel. I registered as a developer but there is no option for enabling private channel under the domain settings>mobile tab. Likewise, there is also no option under 'Pricing and Distribution' in the developer console to make the application private as the google help suggests. Has anyone been successful at posting privately?

Hey,
I want to make my application private also, how do I do it?
About "private channel" as for what I've searched it's only for businesses etc. that have domain on google (Google Apps) [you can search for it: "google play private channel"]
So, somebody knows if it's possible to make a private app on google play, so only users with direct URL can download the app, but it won't be listed?
Thanks!

If you want to provide direct access to an apk you could post the link to a private CDN.
I finally came to the conclusion that private channel distribution only works on PAID Google domains. I have a Google mail for business account but its a grandfathered free account which doesn't support private channel distribution. I would have just upgraded BUT then only accounts in the domain can access the private channel. I'd have to assign a domain email account for every private customer we wanted to distribute software to which doesn't work for us. Sneaky Google.....
I have an APP (I did not author it) that looks locally for a specific IP on a specific port.
When I'm outside my home network the app can't see this ip port combo.
I've got my home network setup to forward to the port and have a static IP.
Is it possible to create an APP that runs in the background and converts the local IP/port request to point to my HOME IP address and port?
I've done a little searching but haven't been able to find what I' looking for... Not sure if I'm using the wrong terms or what...
Any help would be appreciated.
Warmest regards,
chavenor
App 1: Ability to make multiple IP profiles for one SSID. For example, when connected to one SSID, I want to be able to change my IP from the dynamic, DHCP IP I pulled automatically to a previously designated static IP in a different subnet. Perhaps have multiple static profiles that I can bounce between as needed. This is not for connecting to a router to get on the internet. This is for a specialized process in my company. Also, if this could be accomplished without root, that would be great.
App 2: An augmented reality app that I can import my own Google Earth KMZ/KML files that have my personal points of interest that I could view in the augmented reality app. I do not want these POI's to be published to the public.
Anyone know of any apps that can do these things? My search has been fruitless thus far. I am asking here because I'm always amazed by your Google-Fu. Thanks.
Can any one tell me to use proxies/ query with android apps or system wide?
Download Orbot from Play Store. It automatically assigns you a IP adress and makes you safer online.
