I have a no name i7 tablet. M799ca 2.3.3 rooted (superoneclick). I've been trying to put clockworkmod recovery on it with no success due to noT knowing the exact model of my tablet. I need to know how to put some kind of recovery on this so I can flash a new kernel on it. The one I have won't let me over clock the processor. Please help it took me forever just to root the damn thing
I have the same issue, I got it thinking I could just put CWM on it from the Cyanogenmod tree.. no luck. From there, I set up a build environment with a recovery dump. You should have familiarization with using adb and initializing a build environment.
I will try to post a custom CWM for this after testing because I've seen similar posts with the same problem.

Hi!
Ye i know that i asking to much now but i wonder if anyone can help me make CWM to my phone
ZTE Grand S Flex LTE
I have stock recovery.img and boot.img ready if you need it. I used CWM recovery builder but nothing happens i just get this message
"Your build has been queued" on the Clockworkmod page for 2 days now. I think its broken or something. When go to Build server i get HTTP
ERROR 404.
So i wonder if someone can help or show me easy tutorial for making own cwm. I dont have Linux only Windows 8
Thanks
Linux will make it a lot easier for you to get the recovery to work by yourself. If not nessesary. You can dual boot Linux and Windows 8.
I have no idea how to make a recovery at all, but if I were you then I'd look for some guides.
This tablet is a 7 inch tablet made by rockchip , is dual core, and runs android 4.4.2 kitkat. Since I bought it I wanted to find a way to root this tablet so that I could make it faster and so that I could change a few aspects from it. I could not find a way to root it AT ALL since I bought it. Last week, I found out that KINGO ROOT will effectively root this tablet. However, I do not have a backup of the device and got stuck in a boot loop.
The problem is that I changed the Bootanimation.zip in /system/media and apparently the permissions were wrong when I put it. I rebooted and it got stuck in a bootloop, later going straight into recovery mode.
So I have a question. Can anyone make a custom rom for it or a backup of the stock Rom? That or show me how to use ADB to fix this since I know what caused the problem but I am running the stock rom and not a custom one and there is NO CWM or TWRP installed.
All I need is a way to delete or edit the permissions from the bootanimation.zip from ADB or another way to fix this since that is the only problem.
Thanks
Did you get this fixed?? If you can tell me how you rooted the device ..I will get you a back up of the rom
Well I did fix it. I have no idea how . haha. I guess I just tried re rooting it. It updated then script, and then I got root. So I basically pushed the original boot logo and then deleted the other one with a mix of adb and file browser. It rebooted and then it was good. I would love for there to be a back up or custom rom (like cyanogenmod) of this device but I have not found any for it. Maybe cwm?
Well thanks for answering anyways. I can only hope for something like that since I have no idea how to create a custom recovery.
And i used kingo root for it
Hi,
Currently i am struck at a situation where i need to do a fresh install of complete rom. The problem is as below
I own lenovo A6000 which is new in indian market with firmware kraft-A6000. I was frustated with the custom vibe ui given by lenovo and i started to install custom rom. So i booted temporarily into CWM and installed some other lenovo ROM which resulted in disaster. I have restored it back by using the backup taken using CWM. This restoration lead to complete failure of the phones signal reception. I mean literally cell is not able to register to network and catch any signals. So i got little bit frustated and booted into CWM temporarly using ADB and Fastboot and formated system files. (/system). I was aware that it will compelete wipe up the system but one thing which i was not aware that time was i haven't flashed the custom recovery over stock one. So now i am stuck at a point where i cannot install custom ROM zip through stock recovery since signatures and firmware mismatches are happening. I cannot fastboot the phone using debug mode as my stock rom is wiped off completely and my device is unauthorised when i listed it with "adb devices" command. So I came to the conclusion that i need install the stock rom zip using the stock recovery. When i googled for it, i could not find it available and got git-hub link for the same firmware code. So i am hoping to rebuild it into zip and install it using stock recovery.
After good effort of search, i am still left with questions as well as confusions.
1. Is there any way to make my device autherised and make signature check OFF using adb commands so that i can install custom rom -- my guess is probably no, but please confirm
2. I some how got the code of Kraft-A6000 ROM from git-hub and from lenovo site. I would like to know the steps (or any links if already posted) on how to make a zip out of it using linux shell or using eclipse without installing android sdk studio. (i am a bit skeptical as i saw in some of the xda forums stating the code is not building properly as it is missing some files but just wanted to give it a try myself)
3. If any pre-loading methods exist that factories use to install android for first time please suggest.
My last option is to go for a lenovo service center and check with them if they can get it back working but i really want to give it a complete try before going to them.
Note: i am not a core linux user and to my knowledge i tried my level best to resolve the issue myself. Please do also let me know if any extra information is needed. Any help on this is highly appreciated.
How the hell was this posted in 1970.? And can you share the source links you find with me.? I'm building my own source right now, but a completed one would be helpfull

Restoring Nuvision tablet stuck in boot loop. Can't find firmware.
I have:
My mom's NuVision TM800A510L (similar to Acer Iconia A1-840) stuck in boot loop.
I can get it into fastboot mode, and recovery mode waiting for ADB sideload.
ADB and fastboot recognize the connected device, but commands are ignored by the tablet.
I'm a novice, having once stumbled through a cyanogenmod flash.
Chromebook running Ubuntu, with Android SDK seemingly properly installed.
Goal:
To restore the factory OS, vanilla Android, or an alternate ROM. Anything to get it running.
I've tried:
Wiping cache, factory reset.
Can't find factory or custom rom anywhere. Customer service refused to provide it.
Following tutorials to bake a custom rom. They all seem to require a system for the tablet to start from. Creating one from scratch is over my head, unless there is a simple step-by-step somewhere.
Pulling partitions from tablet (failed command)
Pushing / flashing / SD boot of ROM for the Acer version of the tablet (format not recognized)
Does anyone happen to have the update.zip for this Nuvision device I can simply sideload? Or anything else I can try?
Specs from site's NuVision manual:

Nope, I never got it working. Mom contacted the manufacturer and they did arrange a return & replacement, so that might be an option for you.
You can try flashing its stock rom with sp tools..download the rom from needrom.com and pm me for further instructions

needrom does not have the rom for this model.
I have the same problem. I'm trying to use the ADB to make a ROM from what is on the tablet, but so far the only thing I can get to work ADB wise is the sideload, and that does me no good without a ROM

Hi. I just purchased the new flex 11 from BB NS-P11A100. It appears to have the exact same processor, chip, and GPU as another tablet I have used before. The Lenovo Tab3 8. The only difference I can see is the emmc size (Lenovo 16Gb & Insignia 32Gb respectively) and the screen sizes. The processor is the same however limited to 1Ghz on the Lenovo whereas I believe the 1.3Ghz is the base CPU speed (I think the European version of the Lenovo came with a 1.3Ghz speed). So out of curiosity would the finished Lenovo's TWRP recovery work on the Insignia? Just a thought. Also, in case of brick could you use the Lenovo's firmware to flash it (after modding the scatter file of course). I'm just a noob to development but have no problem getting my hands dirty (I have 2 Lenovo's both broken but modified heavily) It's good to see another tablet with the 64bit processor setup. Makes it so the 1Gb of RAM don't look so bad. Thanks in advance for any info provided.
i'm guessing this hasn't peaked interest yet? i just got this bad boy root would be awesome
So did any of you who have this tablet figure anything out?
I was walking down the street with my tablet and accidentally stumbled into fastboot. Stay tuned

Ya I was able to unlock the bootloader using the Fastboot Oem Unlock comand. I just havent gotten up the courage to try the twrp recovery I have that I used for my Lenovo. Seeing as i also cannot find a download to get the stock firmware or flash file to fix it if I encounter any bricks... If someone can rewrite the twrp for the lenovo tab3 8 to use the insignia's model number it should work seeing as they both use the same board and chipset. Any ideas from anyone?

Anyone know how to get this thing in download mode? As soon as i get a boot.img i can build us twrp
Any progress on this yet?
any progress, this tablet makes me want to just blow it up. any ideas on rooting it?
Ok. I apologize for not being too active on this... Before when I tried to boot to the twrp recovery that belonged to the Lenovo Tab 4 8 (fastboot boot recovery twrp.img) it would always tell me there was no file by that name. The same thing happened to me when I attempted a different twrp than what was for my new Lenovo Tab 4 10. I found out that the bootloader simply does not allow the ability to boot to twrp. I got balsy and attempted to flash my new Lenovo (fastboot flash recovery tewp.img) instead of trying to boot to it. It worked. However would not boot to recovery but back to fastboot, and when I attempted a regular boot to the OS it replaced the bad twrp with the stock recovery. Tried maybe 5 diff twrp recoveries and it always fixed it. I haven't tried this with the insignia flexx 11 yet and I still have it up and going strong on stock. Maybey it will work and we can have twrp and root on the insignia. BTW. Has anyone seen or found a stock firmware for this device yet? Twrp would be cake it I can get a stock boot and recovery from it.
Alguien puede decirme si es posible hacer algo con las licencias estas?modificarla para root?o solo es una simple info?

I have a temporary solution till I find a better way magisk 7.1 and MTK easy root I'm going to assume you have android nugat like mine and it has mtk processor like mine. Anyway you can find both of those downloads here on this site under apps if not let me know
First install mtk easy root then install magisk go back to easy root and install the app or manager what ever it prompts you to do then go to magisk it will prompt you for extra set up then reboot and go to mtk easy root click the boot button on the bottom of the screen after root success go to magisk and set it up poof you have root it takes a minute for mtk to root on its own so I hit the button instead of waiting but it
works till i can really root it

MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

I finally found stock firmware
If I insert an SD card, I'm given a dialog box asking to confirm the switch between storage location from internal RAM to SD card, opening up all sorts of access. It gives me a full screen dialog that seems to bypass all of its walled in protections. With a Chrome apk on the SD card I can install it, run it, and download anything.
