guys .. can any one help me with my Evo screen
a line of the buttom of the screen cant be touched .. and when I do .. some where else will be touched .. I dont know if you understant what exactly the problem is ... but this vidoe might help you

and PLEASE XDA ,, dont move this thread to any other section,, cuz this is a REAL Problem for me .. and no one coud help me ... may be I can get something on XDA.
PS: I did superwipe ... revert back to original ROM .. tried all the Evo 3D ROMs .. nothing happend .. any way .. thank u guys for replys

It's either a software or hardware problem. Do a wipe first. If that doesn't solve the problem, it's likely to be a hardware problem. Contact the support service, they'll fix your problem.
This really is the wrong section to put this thread into... A moderator would probably move it. It is in no way related to development - it's a hardware issue, I'd say.
Anyway, I suggest you make another video, maybe longer . We need more details... Only 2 touches were wrong, if you ask me... or at least that's what I figure from the video...
graphic and touch screen glitches
sometimes, reboot + clear cache & dalvik works, but that was graphic glitches
are you using Go-Locker or some other lock-screen crap
Try to calibrate your screen but i think the problem is not the software, i think is the screen. If i was in your place i try at least to change the kernel and rom.

To the OP if you tried everything that was mentioned above and found no change, then it is definitely a hardware issue and you should call a rep from HTC or sprint, or your carrier.
i was exact the same problem as you. this line of dead pixels is spreading more and more. in time is this line spreading more and more to the hightes level and in the end no touch is working. send to the service and pay for the replace.

I've also gotten this problem lately, but i'm thinking its a software related problem since the problem seems to vanish if i just lock/unlock the screen again.
Will try a wipe

Try using a diffrent charger if your using a non stock charger also after a full wipe also try the calibration option located in display settings. You could also try a different kernel as well.

Hi every body!!
i have big issues with my screen
the phone and programs buttons are always visibles no matter what i do

Sounds like screen burn to me and if that is the case no amount of ROM flashing is gonna fix it as its a "damaged" screen.
your not the only one dude
i have the same problem, sent it in to HTC too, they didnt manage to find a fault with it and sent it back. stuck with it now, until they recognise the issue and/or it breaks more!

It worked for me!.
after using the phone for like couple of days and before even rooting i am having there strange kinda shades on the screen... afterwards i rooted it to check if its the rom issue.. but even afterwards it stayed the way as before....
please let me know if its hardware issue and i should get it replaced (i am certain of it.. still hoping for a solution from the geniuses here.. )
That does not seem to be normal, but it looks like u took pics of the screen, a screesnhot from the phone itself would surely eliminate weather its a software issue or a screen issue, my guess is, if it's a hardware issue, the screenshot should not have that issue
Root won't help all that has done is void your warranty .
Factory reset as first step .
Then report back.

well iam posting this and i hope someone can help me out ....
2 days ago ive flashed my sgs 2 with the sensation rom 3.0 and well from the thread there i read that i have to flash the CF root kernel to the phone to get the rom working ... and thats what i did exactly , after flashing the rom worked and it was really pretty rom i liked it alot , however after flashing i noticed that its not easy to turn the phone screen on after locking it !!
i was busy that time and didnt do anything about it !
sadly after 15 to 20 min i wanted to make a call and at that moment the screen didnt want to fire at all !
i took the battery off and powered the phone again ... and i was shocked when i heared the notification of new email with nothing at all on my screen !
i thought it should be bad kernel for my model
so i downloaded the original firmware and odin was running again and all the that
but nothing !!! when the phone restarted after the flashing is done i heared the boot sound of it with still nothing on my screen !!!
send it today to samsung and after checking they told me your lcd is good .. the problem is the board ...................................!
can anyone suggest me anything ??
the phone is working i tried calling it and it rings , the buttons are working , the touch is working i can hear sound when touching the screen !
what can be the problem ?

Let me get this straight. You took it to Samsung who told you the answer. You posted the answer here, then asked XDA members to read it back to you?

yes they told me the problem is the board , what iam asking here is if anyone in xda know what happen to the board that allow it perform all the os tasks except the screen ... is it the lcd filters ?? coz few minutes ago it came to my mind !
should i lose hope with this phone or try to fix it ?

Hi my friend. I am assuming that you mean the touch issue where to menu keeps randomly flashing up and making the phone pretty much unusable?! if so,i had the same thing happen to my st15i.
the best thing to do is if you are still under warranty, take the phone back and they will sort it for you. What they will do is factory reset AND re- calibrate the touch screen.
Its to do with the device heating up, a well known problem. If you cant take it back to be fixed then let me know and i will point you in the direction of a guide to re- calibrate the touch screen yourself. I havent tried this myself as i had took mine in for repair,but it looks reasonably straight forward. No promises that it will work if you try do it yourself though

anyways I managed to "miraculously" wipe the phone and make it clean .. however another problem popped up.. the screen is working just fine with the display... but once I tried to input with touching it didn't work at all
I installed a CWM touch recovery to test in recovery mode and still the touch is not working..
I think it's a hardware problem, but what exactly could be the problem here?
Usually due to flashing the wrong file, blowing the digitiser. Only fix is a new screen assembly.

try flashing the stock rom again with the wipes once.
if the problem persists, m afraid it would BE a hardware problem.
woh a single flash file can blow your whole screen, that seems weird to me, I've always thought the hardware issues can be caused by software mistakes but not to that extent, I don't think I've installed a wrong file though ..

I'm sure you fried your Digitiser by flashing wrong file.

I guess you're right on this one.. I was very careful on downloading everything for S3, but I think while desperately searching for a solution I didn't notice a download in one of the CWMs and fried it.. oh well .. everything went down the drain ...
so a replacement of the digitizer shall do? if I could give it to the service repair, not the whole screen, just the digitizer?
or I have to replace the whole screen?
I've said a replacement of a digitzer ONLY would help because I've seen many sites close to my place (Malaysia) offering Digitizer only and they claim it would be help with non-responsive touch issue.
