I saw that the rezound leaked ics is made for locked devices only, I've used the unlock tool but I haven't rooted. Is there a way to relock?

yes, in fastboot in the command prompt type fastboot oem lock and it will relock phone.
so basically using the same fastboot that you used to unlock .. same command prompt just type fastboot oem lock.
Doesn't it wipe your internal storage and SD card?
No. That's only during the unlock process. I'm not sure if it wipes when you want to re-unlock though. And it shouldn't wipe your SD card. It never wiped mine during the process, just internal.

My sd card was fine through the unlock process just internal was wiped

I ask because I never planned on relocking and it looks like for now unless it gets figured out for me to stay on the old firmware, I'm going to have relock in order to flash new things, is there a tutorial somewhere around or is it literally just fastboot oem lock? But then how would I unlock yet again because doesn't the dev unlock give you a specific one time token?

Yes but you can get a new token I believe

No New Token Needed
I've used the same unlock token twice now. First when the 2.x.x mainver OTA came out and today when I flashed the new ICS leak. I just saved the original unlock file.

Is there a command to unlock the bootloader with s-off without having to wipe all of my data and everything?
There is no need to unlock. S-off is all that you need. It can do anything.

It actually would not let me flash recovery without having the bootloader unlocked again. It was disappointing and erased my data... grrr

You need root to get s-off. The only people who had root were people on the shipped rom when the phone came out. Every OTA since has not had root, let alone temp root that the shipped rom had. So you absolutely need HTC Dev unlock to get s-off, and yes if you havent done it yet, it will wipe the phone. Thems the breaks.

Not what I meant. I already had s-off and it relocked. It then would not allow me to install amon ra. I was asking if there was a different fastboot command to just change it to unlock now since we have soff.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
I had to unlock too but reused my token.
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code. is the command
Edit: My bad this probably isn't what you were looking for.
I didn't have to re-unlock.
I asked about this in the discussion thread but was never answered.
I just fastboot flash recovery .zip
and HBOOT flashed my roms boot.img and I was back with the addition of S-OFF
I've flashed several Roms since, while my HBOOT still says Tampered, Locked, S-OFF.
Finally, since I'm on ICS, I flashed the Juopunutbear modified HBOOT.
Everything seems to be open and working fine without re-unlocking.

Not sure if you still need this but i just used the rezound AIO to flash amon again right after and worked fine no unlock. Tho I still have my bin file if I need it.
afaik if you did s-off and you're on GB firmware, you need the ENG Hboot to flash recoveries using fastboot commands, otherwise you have to use PH98IMG.zip's... but that's just what i see, i'm not 100%.
I had a unlocked bootloader, rooted rezound running AOKP JB rom. Now after trying to flash a differnet kernel (stupid me) I can't get past the bootloader screen. I was able to relock my bootloader but now on Hboot screen it says ***tampered*** *****relocked**** and ****security warning**** I am completely stuck. Am I SOL or is there a chance to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get back into fastboot. Unlocked your phone. You can just go back and flash the boot.img that was on your original rom

Might as well install the RUU again...

You won't be able to flash a rom or kernel if your s-on and locked. The only thing you can do is try and unlock bootloader or run RUU and restart from scratch
I can't unlock boot loader. Went thru the process and it said the token was too long. So I guess I'll look for the RUU and give it a go.

At what point did it say that? When you are trying to get it from the HTC site? If that's it you are just copying too much. Make sure you don't copy any extra characters at all.
If it's when you are flashing the unlock token bin file then I agree that you should just run the RUU and get back to fresh stock then try again.
Use the RUU that is the .12 version rather than the global leak, unless you have already run the global leak one, if you want to be able to take the newest OTA.
I tries to flash ruu from my pc. The command prompt said “access denied"
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
And your bootloader is locked? You talked about getting the unlock token, did you unlock it again before RUUing?
It needs to be locked to run the RUU.

How are you flashing it?
Fastboot flash and then the name of the ruu
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
It was locked when I tried to flash ruu
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Try this:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip {nameofruu}.zip
Or place it on your sd card and flash it in hboot
If it's an exe file you need to double click on that on your pc while the phone is connected.
When I tried to relock my phone it said it was already locked. Then when I went to unroot it It wouldn't reboot into the bootloader and everybody is saying that that means its still locked. My phone doesn't say unlocked or locked because when I first got my phone there was a tool that made it to where you could change what it said on boot. I can't find that tool anymore and I can't figure out what to do. Can anyone help me?
You should be able to Oem relock threw fastboot then run the RUU. That would put it back to factory state. When the RUU is finished the bootloader should say S-On no matter what mods was done while unlocked..
Maybe someone else could offer better advice.

Try to see if can go into bootloader onto fastboot and type "Fastboot OEM lock" and it should reboot after verified. Then try to fastboot the RUU if can't thur bootloader.

Thanks guys I got it! I didn't know I had to run the ruu through fastboot. Feel kinda dumb now lol. Sorry

I would also like to know the answer to your question.
Install. A stock rooted odexed rom. delete superuser.apk from /system
install stock recovery found in the international forums ( do this in fastboot)
issue the command fastboot oem lock in fastboot
the bootloader will say relocked, and I think it will still say tampered, but I'm not sure

Would it work on AT&T variant?

No. Unlock_code.bin is specific to the phone you get it for.

So people are still able to unlock?

Yes
I have a rooted AT&T One X+ that I unlocked via HTCDev when I first got it and now run Elegencia. I'd like to update to the newest RUU (to get the radio/hboot/all the new stuff) before updating my phone again (running an older Elegencia version currently). I understand that running the RUU will wipe the SD card/phone/recovery/everything and bring me back entirely to stock and will relock the bootloader. My problem is that I don't have the unlock token from HTCDev anymore for the bootloader. Does anyone know if it's still possible to unlock the bootloader for an AT&T One x+ via HTCDev or did they close that loophole??? Or is there a way for me to recover the unlock token?
Thanks!
I want to do the same and from what I have read you can still unlock from HTCDev after updating.
The only thing I don't know is do you need to relock the bootloader before running the RUU?
I don't think you need to relock before running the RUU, it should do it itself I would think.
I've also done some more reading and I'm also wondering if it's really worth it....looks like you can flash the radio. May just pass on having to deal with unlocking/that whole thing again.

You have to relock bootloader and then you are able to run the ruu. If bootloader is unlocked and you try to run the ruu the setup will not complete and fail.
Have you tried to obtain the unlock.bin from the HTC website again since it was deleted?

Thanks for the tip on the bootloader, didn't know that.
How would I get the unlock.bin from the website again? I looked around HTCDev and couldn't find it anywhere.

No problem
This is where I got my unlock.bin to unlock my bootloader. The steps are very easy, Go here http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader and where it says "Select device" select 'Other supported models' and follow the on screen steps. Then they will email you your unlock.bin to unlock your bootloader
OK so I need to go through the process again, I thought there'd just be a way to get the bin file again without having to do it again, oh well.
Guess question becomes whether it's really worth it or not....
