CM9 is still under developement...there are lots of bugs to be removed...wait for the stable version as paul is working on this...
Cm9 will require new adreno 200 libs for proper graphics. As there no new adreno 200 libs for our chipset available 3D games. Will lag or wont work...wait for future releases.

Has Anyone got TegraZone games to play on ANY ROM for the G tablet?
I'm running Fruit Ninja THD, Samurai 2: Vengence, and Dungeon Defenders: First Wave all on my gTab which is running VEGAn 5.1.1 without any hacks or mods beyond the rom itself.
They all run fine here..running Calkulin rom....no tweeks/hacks needed.
Good to know. Thanks much guys.
I wonder if any Ginger ROMs can run them. I would guess not without hardware acceleration though.

They all work fine on TNTLite 4.40. No hacks needed.
somebody help me, I can't download any games from tegra zone (not even free ones), it says "the requested item could not be found". I'm running vegan tab 5.1 beta. Is there any ways to fix it like we did with the android market

They run fine. Hardware acceleration only applies to videos. Not 3D rendering.

BS.

Got more to back up that "BS" opinion? Has anyone complained of poor play on CM7 or Vegan Ginger? The games play fine for me on CM7.0.3.
Are you having trouble getting them to show up in the Market? Because that's a different question.
@spammhead
For myself and a friend (3 tablets - one from Sears, one from electroniccrap.com, and one from Woot!) we found that in Hero of Sparta, Hawx, Quadrant tests, and a few other games - the ones mentioned stand out the most in my memory, would not display all textures is maps unless we were running a FroYo build with full acceleration. I think Sandstorm was another that had trouble.

Riptide GP and Bang Bang Racing THD both work perfectly for me on CM 7.0.3.

While I would have put it more diplomatically you are correct. While 3D games "work" on GB roms they do not have the same visual texture as when running on one of the popular FroYo roms. I have two gTabs one running VEGAn 5.1.1 and the other running CyanogenMod 7.0.3. They both have their uses.
I noticed no change in 3d textures on games like Dungeon Defenders and Samurai II when moving from 2.2 to 2.3 (CM7, nightly 85). The only issues were with the videos for Dungeon Defenders, but those are all resolved now. Riptide runs perfectly and looks just like it does in Youtube videos I've seen of it, so I'm not sure what you're talking about as far as different visual textures. I think the only hardware acceleration that's missing is in high def videos, but OC'd at 1.4, software does everything I can throw at it fine in Moboplayer.
EDIT: Added a screenshot from Riptide. Does it look different than it does on 2.2? Please post a screenshot from the same map (Twister) so I can compare.
EDIT again: Added more screenshots. Samurai II, Pinball HD, Dungeon Defenders. I want to note that in all these games, I was more interested in taking the screenshot than I was in playing. I don't suck *that* bad.
OK, so you may be missing some fine texturing, but gameplay is not affected enough to merit a warning against buying the game to play on Gingerbread.

If I'm missing texturing, I'm not seeing it. Otherwise, with the currently nightly of CM7, the video issues (like the opening video in Dungeon Defenders) that appear in Vegan Ginger aren't present, so yeah, I think it's fair to say that the "Ginger isn't good for games" factor is wrong.
The only thing that drives me nuts about CM7 right now is the boot times.
after having played many tegra games on froyo and gbread, I have never noticed texture differences or anything else. the latest libraries in cm7 and aosp work wonderfully for everything I have tried.
Tegra Zone loaded and Dungeon Defender works on (gasp) stock 3588.
Hi to all. Guys, what about tegra games on Honeycomb? On my G Tablet with [ROM][BL1.1] GtabComb alpha1.6 for Bootloader 1.1 Gtablet these games didnt work. When I tried install any tergra games I get error.
Any ideas?
P.S. Sorry for my English, I am from Russia.
I can get it too turn on but it super lags... I saw a post saying it works tho
I heard a report in the CM9 Rom post that said it runs smoothly.
Sure you installed the latest one? Or because there is a lack of hardware acceleration, it is laggy and that guy lied.
I saw the same thing....he lied LOL,
All other games work fine though I'm on alpha 3 the newest one
I tried it, I got shuttering glitches... similar with angry birds 2d graphics. I don't think the hw ac is working properly yet.

My angry birds works flawless I just checked it now....I know hardware acceleration is messed up but do
You have the 2d hw acceleration box checked cause I do
awh!! GTA is working fine for me, both joker and alphaomega ICS.
cheerz!!
My phones not all slow or clogged up with junk I was getting over 7000 on antutu so idk what's up, all other games work like real racing 2 and modern combat 3...this sucks I don't wanna got back to Cm7 and I'm not
I have the same problem.
We have to wait for hardware acceleration

hi,
I found out that this rom CM9 ALPHA4 based port for Legend [APR11] is NOT using hardware acceleration after browsing to the folder in which the EGL drivers are, these date from 2008...
I than went to the qualcomm site logged in and saw that the newer drivers for ICS they released are dated 2012! and are very much different from the ones that are installed currently.
Someone should contact zeubea about this!
And make this rom rock!

Are you sure that it is not using HWA ?
Since its 3.0 version, zeubea claims HWA is working for nearly every apps (and users agreed).
In one of the many pages, I saw that he is aware of the new drivers, and actually, how could HWA works if it wasn't with those ?
There was no HWA before ICS, was it ?
Maybe the differences between the drivers you see and the ones available at Qualcomm are because of the architecture, Legend is an ARMv6 device.
maybe

i,ll first have to try something to make absolutly sure, i will post my findings
Your kidding me right? Have you used ANY of the builds starting from the first alphas released? Hw acceleration is most defiantly working, before hw acceleration GUI was laggy, many HQ games didn't work at all, angry birds and the like, bench mark apps 2d frame rate was only about 10-14 fps and no 3D support at all. After hw implemented all the HQ games I've tried work better than any rom I've used, 2D frame rate is hitting 50+ fps 3D is around 18 fps and IMHO this is the fastest smoothest rom available I have flashed all of them on xda. If hw acceleration wasn't implemented how can you explain how good it is?

You sure you are looking at the correct folder? Ive checked /system/etc/firmware, /system/lib/egl and /system/lib/, all required driver last modified in 2012.
BTW, have you try this rom? Flash Alpha 1.0, play around couple hours, and then, try flashing Alpha4. You'll surely see lot of improvement in graphic.
A strange thing about hwa is that if you compare tests with Antutu or Quadrant on cm7.1 and CM9, you notice that the 2d score of cm7.1 is twice that of cm9 (at least on my Legend).
zeubea cm9 is smooth and in a post he said, if I remeber well, that on hwa debug info are traced, maybe this Rom experience could be also better when debug info will be no more needed
N.O.V.A 3 is playable. But pretty laggy when it comes to being played on CM7 Alpha. The gameplay is not smooth and becomes slow when facing the special effects and motion blur. In my opinion I don't think it's worth buying. Does anyone know if it runs faster on CM9?

there is no way it can run faster on cm9 because cm9 lacks hardware acceleration

Actually, the CM9 nightly builds include hardware acceleration, so it can be tested to see if it is faster (if you can get it to run before your device randomly reboots).

Yeah I knew that, I was under the assumption that the OP wanted to run NOVA 3 under a stable CM9 release aka the 2.6.x kernel based CM9.
Hello,
I just got myself an Atrix 4G and i'm looking at the roms right now. I'm interrested in CM10... seems to not have many bugs, but i wonder: what is the performance in games? I see it have no HW aceleration, so i wonder if it matters in the final product?
Anyone using it could let me know? Thanks in advanced
Im not much a gamer, but I have tested Angry Birds (just for test) and it has some lags.
But remember that CM10 is in alpha stage, and soon (I hope) we're getting nvidia/motorola drivers.

Huummm... guess i will wait untill Moto release the oficial ICS then, so drivers community will have access to the drivers and stuffs i guess. Thanks
great, that's response was useful for me too.
I'm running Paranoid Android 1.9.5b (based on jokersax's CM10 build) and games typically work fine. On rare occasions I have to turn the screen off and back on to fix multitouch issues but I'm pretty sure it's fixed now. There doesn't seem to be any issue with jitter or lag in games though.
