AT&T 4-19-2011 Update SuperOneClick

New Update Dl's and than I installed on my rooted Atrix 4g last night. No longer have root access. tried the superoneclick and that is no longer working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
Saw that coming. Never update until the devs figure out what's going on first. You lost root until someone can figure out another method.

what software are you using 1.5.7?
...bummer. What the hell was I thinking. Im currently running 4_1.5.7

You may be able to get root back if you run the "afterupdate.bat" included in this root deal:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1016060
Otherwise, you'll have to flash the old sbf and do the whole process described in that thread.
EDIT: Damn...ninja'd

No root access. Need help

Ok I used the directions posted on this site to sbf back to froyo which I did I then did bootstrap and gingerbreak. I got the error message at the end. I do have the super user app and I did download barnacle and root check. Both say that I do not have root access. I purchased the tbh app and have it on my phone but not sure which app to use inside the tbh app. Im currently running gb but its not the ota update. This is on a Dx2
Should I sbf back to froyo and start over or will the blackhat app save me from doing that. Just trying to get this thing rooted and appreciate the help.

Lost superuser privelages after flashing this update

I flashed this http://www.filefactory.com/file/cfbc5d2/n/update_1024_working_data_zip over stock rom i am unlocked and was rooted with djbliss one click method now root rights are gone

Troubleshoot that a couple of ways. First, go into the market, and download rootchecker by joeykrim. That should tell you if you somehow lost root. If you did, root again, I actually prefer photon torpedo method found in these forums.
If you still have root, go the market and download superuser. If you are showing that you still have root, and that superuser is installed, then you should be good, if not, then I would re-root with photon anyway.
I too lost root when I went back to 154....got the OTA to 198_6 then I re-rooted with AIO...all is good now

[Q] Unlocked Photon however system.img is nowhere to be found

After following QBkings videos on unlocking the bootloader and then attempting to root... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfJJ0h4d-80) I tried to download the system.img file in order to root the phone, however, I cant find it anywhere. Does anyone know if i can just use the torpedo method to root it before i flash CWM. I dont want to have any issues installing CWM, however if its not an issue to do AIO or torpedo instead of this specific root method then ill go for it. And if anyone happens to have the root IMG file, id really appreciate it. Thanks to anyone who offers advice.

Did you locate the file. I am also looking all over the net for this. It seems to have played a neat disappearing act.
Please let me know if you managed to land the file.

the part where you need to root, via system.img file I could not find either , so I did the AIO root and it works fine. so the system.img is not needed just root the phone as you normally would via AIO or Torpedo, AIO is better ..
Hi Jo,
Thanks for the suggestion, currently I am onto sth potentially dangerous way of rooting. If that fails I will give AIO a try.

AIO is the way to go. It is so easy and painless.
I'm a MoPho-er
I found the AIO method only works with 198_7 on my phone but the torpedo method has worked for me on several occasions.
After a couple flash failures and re-roots AIO has worked for me on all SBF's.
I'm an ICS craving MoPho-er!
I've broke. Cant wait any longer!
I have no rooting experience. No flashing roms experience.... Only programming experience is one semester of Java, and 1.5 semester of C++. I have installed frx7.1 and gbx0b, gbx0c on winmo devices by putting android on sd cards. Apparently there are quite a few ways of unlocking, rooting your phone. I am a beginner and do not wanna brick my electrify(rebadged mopho). I have accepted the 2.3.5 update so i would have to do a factory reset back to 2.3.4 most likely i'm aware.... Whats is the best/easiest way to get ICS on my mopho..er... electrify(mopho sounds cooler) and where is a every single step by step guide so i do not brick my baby? I've been trying to wait until official ICS release but i'm really impatient.
when you say you accepted 2.3.5, are you talking about the official update?
My MoPho's in the kitchen sink!!

Hate to say it, but you're currently SOL. There's no way to unlock the bootloader once you update to 2.3.5, and you can't revert to 2.3.4. And there's no ics for a locked bootloader. Sorry.

Not even factory reset brings back 2.3.4?......when I finally get ICS update I won't need it anyway but when I do get ICS officail update will it have unlocked bootloader? I've seen a bit on google saying yay and some saying nay and motorola sucks blah blah. Motorola has great hardware and build quality.

Nope, factory reset doesn't help. And I can't say yes or no about the unlocked bootloader once official ics hits. I wouldn't bet on it though.

[Q] Unable to Root my GS3 i-565 (verizon)

Hi, I have been trying to root my GS3 for many days now, searched everything I can to figure out what is going on, tried Mac & Windows and cannot get this thing to root. I am running 4.1.2, currently. I have attempted to do the Odin 3.07, ran that step by step and the process failed. I try to unlock the bootloader and everything tells me I need to have a rooted device. I continuously receive "Permission Denied" when trying to root, which I read means I need to change the r/w, which i haven't been able to do either. I used the Ninja aboot thing, that didn't work.
what am I doing wrong? Can someone help me?
I figured things out. I was unintentionally cutting corners. I took my time and made sure all files were downloaded fully and followed step-by-step. I am going to root someone's phone tomorrow.
