I am looking for a way to display contact information for another person on my lockscreen should it be lost.
Can anyone recommend the best way to do this?

Doable with custom lockscreens. Not sure about HTC's though. Maybe a custom background image. But that's all I can think of.
I dont think its possible i know its only possible in Blackberry but thats about it .. maybe MIUI too i forget .. try golocker and see if it has anything

Well, I don't know about the rest of you but I enjoy the functionality of MySense in certain respects. My dislikes are not enough to get me to jump to an alternative launcher but they are enough to make me want changes.
In my eyes.... two things will make Espresso aesthetically pleasing and more functional. The first being redirecting/replacing the My Faves with Browser or messenger. And the second... changing the drawer icon to the FROYO blocks icon.
Now, I don't have a full grasp on what would be involved in doing so, but common sense or my lack of understanding perhaps tell me those 2 icons and the 1 remapping can't be too involved. To anyone out there ready and willing to take this on... I will volunteer to be the guinea pig for testing. Me and Nandroid are best friends.

Lol, not forgotten... that is still on my list in the quest of a perfect MT4G. I am going to make that one my personal project. I figured it is in my best interest to enlist some "qualified" help for the Espresso Project.
lol the things you mentioned above are my exact problems with the stock launcher as well everything else i like as of lately ive jus been using a combination of iced glacier and ADW to get sumthing almost similar to wat you discribed but in all i would love to see an actual rom that benifits both i too will be a tester for anyone who decides to take on this project and good luck

ADW is a nice launcher. I just hate losing the MySense features by doing so....

i agree ADW doesnt have any real widgets so it does put u at a loss. if sumone could successfully merge the two launchers and have the benifits of both we would have a fricken great rom for this phone. i tried to flash the apks from the glacier rom onto the ADW launcher but it freezes the homescreen i cant get the widgets to successfully adapt to the ADW protocols which puts me back to sqaure one lol

-simiclock (has weather now)
-quick settings for the best customizable power and brightness controls and can be launched from tapping simiclock when set up that way, also can be added to status bar
-circle battery (just looks cool and clean)
All of this together makes me very pleased with this phone. I have test out sooooo many different apps for these functions and various roms on other phones.. just my taste and opinion.. but give them a try if you havent.
Just like the title says, I like the way it looks but was curious if there would be any way to make the short cuts customizable so that you could choose other apps instead of the one Motorola thinks we should use. I know there is WL and others but just wondered if the knowledgable coders knew a way
Should be easy if you have root, i think.. I just flashed a non-stock ROM, or I would def give this a try, sorry.. Honestly, if I were you, I would just go with flashing a ROM if you're already rooted, as the one I'm using offers that.. (can provide a link if you would like)
If you disable the stock text app your third party text app will show up there instead. That's the only one I know.

I was just wondering if there was any way to make the lockscreen widgets show more information without swiping down to show it?
I'm using 200dpi so it is quite a bit less than stock...
I used DashClock and saw that it was the same thing as CM's cLock...
For instance, if you have 2-3 calender events, some of them will be cut off until you swipe down to unlock the widget. Is there any way to make the "viewing" part bigger so that I don't have to open the widget every time? It drives me nuts...I just want to turn on my phone and see the information there, not have to swipe open again...

I don't know what you're using to change DPI (Xposed mod, or paranoid preference). If it's paranoid preferences, try this:
In paranoid preferences, go tools, select expert mode.
Then in per app settings, you'll have the option to 'force' or 'large'. Try playing around with these, possibly for dashclock, systemui or Androidsystem. I don't know if this will help, as I don't use an overall lower dpi, only for some apps.

Hello i am having a REALLY hard time setting up my new rom (foxhound 2.7 on my i9300).
Here is the deal: i like samsung's stock widgets. I like the flashlight and i like the turn off all sounds. But on the launcher i want to use for the rest of my (phone's) life, doesn't see them. In fact there are some launchers that do not see all system widgets.
These widgets i speak of are built in my rom, so please don't mention touchwiz, it has nothing to do with this and i CAN apply these widgets to holo launcher hd (for example) and others.
There are many workaorunds for the flashlight widget, and i can learn to live without all other stock widgets of samsung. But i have never found a better "turn off all sounds" feature than samsungs widget. Now i assume i could send a report to go launcher ex dev team and wait forever for them to not fix this problem, or i could find a solution.
What i need is the experience of you guys, please: i need to find a widget that can link to other existing ones in the phone and act as them, and hopefully go launcher ex will allow me to use this widget.
I do not intend to change launcher, but if anyone can offer a VALID alternative to that launcher (it doesn't just lower all sounds to 0, it completely disables the phone sound output. THIS is what i'm looking for, hopefully in a widget but even if not it's fine).
Many app out there claim to be able to mute all sounds, but not as efficiently as this samsung stock widget, please help:banghead:

Just to give you an option: you could create a Tasker task and widget button to turn off all sounds.

Alright i got some 2 raw widgets working, but no matter what action i choose with tasker (in the sound section) i do not get the turn off all sounds effect just like in the samsung widget.
???
And i didnt find any option to enable another widget....any help?

May be the same reason my third party lockscreen, doesn't come up 100% of the time, Miui seems to like it's defaults to much.
i tried too. What i really want is to get dashclock to work with miui.... havent found a way yet...
Make sure widgetlocker, is ticked within privacy/notification access settings. Kinda fixed lockscreen Issue may be the same for widgets
Yeah worked it out, notification and app access needs to be configured via Miui settings.
