4.Link2sd
Link2SD is an application that makes it easy for Android 1.6+ users with root privileges on their phone to move applications to the SD card.
The idea behind is same with apps2sd scripts, linking applications to SD card's second partition but differs in two ways.
One, instead of linking /data/app folder (that means moving all applications), you can select applications that you want to move.
Two, it's an application which means has a user interface. You can manage your applications with few clicks.
It also provides native apps2sd features on Android 2.2 and higher. It can move any non-protected user apps to SD card (force move), with batch moving capability.
That feature uses Android's standard SD-card installation feature and does not require a second partition. It can break some apps if they are not meant to be moved to the SD card (Such as Widgets).

5.SetCPU
SetCPU is a tool for changing the CPU settings (capable of overclock and underclock) on a rooted Android phone, including the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, Motorola Droid, Nexus One, G1, G2, Samsung Galaxy S II, myTouch 4G, Motorola Xoom, or one of many other devices to improve performance or save battery.SetCPU also allows you to set up powerful profiles to change the CPU speed under certain conditions, such as when the phone is asleep or charging, when the battery level drops below a certain point, when the phone's temperature is too high, or during certain times of day

S3 heavy loaded apps issue

I migrate my s2 all about 740 apps into the new galaxy s3,and then I reboot s3 to go into the apps folder using brief mode to view all the apps like the second picture as follows, and I find slip down or up lag vey much,I find when installed about 200 apps will cause this issue, and I go to the settings->sound->auto haptic will be forced closed, the same go to the settings->application manager will be forced closed too,or maybe into the downloaded apps list and slip down or up lag vey much also,go to the settings-> language and input will dely about 3 seconds to get in,and I compare the s2 and s3 with the same 740 apps installed to boot to the desktop speed,s2 is faster than s3 very much, and compare the cwm backup time to backup into internal /mnt/sdcard folder is the same, finally compare to create /data folder into tar with gzip using root explorer ,the create speed of s2 is faster than s3 also,I have try to flash any kernel & ROM to solve the issues on board is useless till now, below is the titanium backup 700 apps download url, anyone interested can download using titanium backup to restore hundred apps to test it....
s2 rooted SiyahKernel v2.6.14 cwm 5.5.0.4/ stock firmware -> gb 2.3.3 zskf4
s3 rooted SiyahKernel s3 v1.0 cwm 5.5.0.4/ stock firmware -> zsaled
both s2 & s3 I use link2sd autolink to app2sd because huge apps installed, but s2 is running smoothly but s3 not,and if cwm backup data.ext4.tar file size great than 2GB will cause restore error...
installed about 740 apps

Actually I often used only 10 apps, about 740 apps,The main reason is I have the collection hobby, the second reson is the smart phone is very Expensive need to the best use of,the third is the google play store is full of tens of thousands of apps,I don't want to waste time to look for the good apps when I need to use,so when others say what apps is good to use then I will download it to install,I create 16 folders on destop to classify each apps belong in order to find to use quickly like the picture as follows, and I will use the autostarts apps to do the startup manager jobs to control apps do not take up too much memory, as time goes by I got used to,everything is going fine when I use galaxy S2,everything is smooth, faster, quickly, until I migrate my S2 to S3 the nightmare as I described first is coming...which master can fix these issues...plz...
actually, you can delete those apps you dont really need thru root explorer (or counterpart) but be careful to do it. Below is the attached guide for the apps' use & functions.

I'll try it....Thanks for your information......but I think this is the bug of settings.apk /odex ,and touchwiz UI,as to the cwm backup Performance is poor, may be the problem of cross partition read & write becoz S3 use the new technology to merge the capacity of /data & /mnt/sdcard...
back to report,I solve two problems, one is the cwm 5.5.0.4 v 1.5 backup time performance is not good,I use the official touch version cwm 5.8.4.3 the backup performance improved Several times than cwm 5.5.0.4,and another is apps folder using brief mode to slip down or up lag vey much,I downgrade the touchwiz UI to the modded TouchWiz 4 for ICS then all the smoothly...
The remaining are two forced closed problems,I think that is settings.apk /odex need to tuning...maybe others release soon ...

[TESTED] app & games data to external SD card on S3 !!!

How to move applications & games data to external SD card on Samsung Galaxy S3?
I take my Samsung Galaxy S3 as example. It should work on rooted Android phone with external micro SD card.
Old Gameloft games data are stored at /mnt/sdcard/
However, latest Gameloft games data are stored at /mnt/sdcard/Android/data/ just like other Android applications and games.
With Directory Bind, you can move one folder by one folder to external storage at /mnt/extSdCard/
I won’t move all applications and games data in Android/data folder to external micro SD card because it is much slower compare to internal memory.
Therefore, I only move those unimportant or less frequent used applications and games to external storage with Directory Bind.

No. Symlinks (and hardlinks) only work within a filesystem, not across partitions.
This is a kernel-feature called bind-mount.
The underlying command is: (Make sure the destination exists)
bind -o mount /from/source/folder /to/destination/folder
I was trying this last night, but couldn't get the settings to persist. I was trying with gta3 and put the exact settings you have above in, ticked the box to move move files, and the files moved but the settings didn't appear on the main screen.
Hi ,
I would like to know how to delete the bing and restore original app directory.
If I hold down on the blind apper two paths and under these two entries "delete" and "save"
What should I do? I run last version of app "o"
I've read all the page of the topic but I found information only to create a bind and not how to delete it.
Thanks in advance
Just hold on bind entry & delete. Simples

Not exactly sure how it works.
Moving seems to be working. But the directory stays on internal sdcard but are files moved because there is more space.
But when I reopen directory bind I can't see binded directory's anymore?
How to unbind then?
And when I delete directory on internal sdcard the game doesn't run anymore!

Not working for me
Hi Carlos, I'm using the same configurations that you show on your screenshots but when I try to open for example Aura, it wants to download all the data again. This happens also on the games.
I am using a Galaxy S3 Us Version, rooted, with Adama 03 kernel and redruM rom, Android 4.04.
Thanks!
Awesome!, works perfectly on omega9
Thanks!!!
I got many application crash or force close when the directory bind running..ex TB,gapps, and many other..how to fix it??
IT WORKED
I'm using link2sd app. Works pretty well
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
This is done by creating symbolic links.
What you're making is a way to point that any operation into directory /x needs to be done into directory /y. Because of this, you can't delete the original directory or your games won't run as you are deleting it on /y (/x point to /y).
I do this on my computer to use my RAM Disk with browser, temporaries, downloads and such.
symbolic links and bind mount is two different thing. symlink doesn't supported by the (ex)fat16/32 filesystem, so only the bind mount will work.
great app but a directory browsing feature will be great, writing a long directory name is painfull
edit: found the directory browsing feature

This helped a lot !
I just used a terminal emulator on my S3 to bind /extSdCard to /sdcard/external_sd and was wondering how I would go about moving to the external sd. If only I had com across this thread about ten minutes ago...
Thank you!!
Perfect, just what I needed
Installed and works great on my S3 I9300 with Rooted Stock ICS ROM.:good:

It's probably used by programs you installed. If you don't care for those programs, try to uninstall them. That will free up some space.

"Others" is just the collection of all not video, not picture and not music files on your sd card.
It could be downloads, backups, system/cache files, app data (e.g. local maps, offline information, etc.), emails, messages, contacts, calendar entries, etc.
So, "Others" gives you nearly no additional information about what it is really.
You should have a closer look at your sd card content with a file explorer, such as ES File Explorer (free app from Google Play store).
Then browse your files.
Some suggestions:
1. Maybe you can remove all unused apps in menu "Settings" > "Applications" first. Some apps need much storage on your sd card - especially those with local/offline data.
2. And check your email/messages. Maybe you can remove all old entries to get more free space on your internal storage.
3. Check your download/browser folder(s). Maybe there is a high internet "cache". In most browsers you can set an option to remove the internet cache.
Good luck !

AOToolbox changes the format of Apps when you 'backup apps' which does not make sense; we want to be able to use backup apps without any tool to restore. Because of this Android Assistant is my preferred app. Othewise it would be your AOToolbox. They are both very good apps and thank you.

This module removes the restriction when selecting folders (Downloads/Android) through the file manager on Android 11 and higher (also available as a Magisk module through Fox Module Manager)
2.0 Update
* Enabled Managed Mode on the DocumentsUI (make sure to apply the module to the Files/Documents app)
* This change allows selecting /data and /obb folders on the Android folder (where as before they were hidden)

Thanks for getting back to me. Sure thing, here goes:
As you can see, the "data" folder and the "obb" folder are missing. By the way, the first time I tried to move stuff, immediately after installing the app, those folders were actually visible as intended, but once I quit the moving process and tried a second time (and from that moment on) this is what I get

Oh, that's a different restriction (imposed by a different app)
My module is mainly to allow granting access to folders (downloads/Android) where it would normally tell you to create a new folder and not allow you to select that folder
The data/obb folders being hidden is a different thing
You could try this zip, tho it's a bit sloppily made, so i can't guarantee it'll work
