Hi everyone,
My phone details:
Samsung Galaxy S2
Model GT-I9100G
Android Version 2.3.6
Build: gingerbread.XWKJ2
Kernel 2.6.35.7
I tried to root my phone before using odin 1.85 but guess I flashed the wrong kernel and got stuck in boot loop. I am not sure if I can root it by Doomlord rooting kit has anyone tried it on the "G" make?
Is there any other way to root because I have been searching a lot and most people could not root it by flashing kernels?

Kernel for XWKJ2?
The three kernels are for :
XXLA1
JPKK1
DZKL3
Not sure if to risk using one of them to flash XWKJ2 will work.

NB: is it possible to get the original rom by unrooting my sgs 2 by doomlord unrooting toolkit ?
Learn how to use Odin
get ROM from checkfus downloader or sammobile.com
Pick lp7 ROM skip lp9.
You can flash any ROM if you got i9100, say UK lp7.
Flash using Odin.

Doesn't matter were you are...
Get a whole package and flash.
Lp7 UK ics
Dxlp9 Singapore ics
Both stock roms work fine. Personally I say go for lp7 UK.
After that learn how to use cfroot kernel to get root access.

Thanks for that.
Can you give me that link for lp7.
I salute you.

Hai all xda user.my question is can i flash samsung galaxy S 2 GT i9100 baseband version I9100XXLPS to ntt-docomo SC-02C? Got any problem if I flash? Thanks

You should be able to flash i9100 roms onto the SC-02C. You will need to flash a kernel/baseband for the SC-02C though.
Just check out the thread below:

This is my phone information and I'm trying to root with the latest odin3 and s2root and using the following kernels
Kernel_I9100XWLP7_INSECURE and Kernel_I9100XWLP7
I can install the insecure kernel ok and phone reboots fine. When I run s2root it tells me I'm not connected with a Samsung device. Any suggestions?

Hi,
i have recently noticed the new jellybean leak and im interested in rooting my s2 which is the Vodafone Kernel 3.0.15-1056085 - Build number imm76d.bulpg. I can find numerous tutorials how to root ones with a different build number. But i cannot find anything on the BULPG 4.0.4 build.
Wil the steps for the 4.0.3 work?
Thank you
You don't need to root if you're flashing the JB leaked update.
You just need to know how to comprehend the English language, learn how to use the search feature or read the S2 forums and have a big enough set of balls to flash it using Odin.

Briliant,
So the I9300XXLSJ Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Test firmware for the Galaxy S II. I9100XXLSJ will work OK although my build number is different?
I have not done any rooting for a few years since my HTC Hero so ive lost track of all the roms and releases.
Thank you. :good:
If you do want to root then download Siyah kernel (TAR not CWM) and flash the TAR file using Odin. Then the world is your Chinese knock off pearl factory.

Hi,
Аpologize in advance if there is similar topic.
I wanna to ask can I root Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100
Model Number: GT-I9100
Android Version : 4.0.4
Baseband Version I9100XXLQ6
Kernel Version 3.0.15-I9100XXLQB-CL911584

With methods described here
And if is possible can you tell me which method to use, also is there a need to download(except described in the method files) anything from Clockworkmod
Thanks in advance.

Easier way is to flash Siyah v5.0.1 via odin

Simplest is Method 1 Instructions 2 on that thread. Download Root_SuperSU.0.96.Only-signed.zip and flash it via CWM. and USe temporary CWM
