It's a SDK port, we allready have one of those, and it's terrible :/ Since the source for HC never was releasesed and it's aimed for tablets, it's useless on phones
Now I have another question...what's the different between sdk port and rom port?

A ROM-port usually have all the functions implemented.
The SDK-ports are made for emulators, and therefore lots of stuff are missing from them
Thx for the answer

Hello,
Okay, so I know that people always ask, "why the h*** would you want windows phone 7 on an android phone?" But, I really like the simple UI, and I like the way the apps look and things like that, so with that said I have 2 questions:
1. Does a "WP7 rom" exist (like in the WP7 forums).
2. If so, is it remotely possible to even attempt to run it on an android phone?
I am just asking because the way I see it if WP7 can run on an HTC device, why could it not run on an ANDROID HTC device, with the rerouting of some software and things like that. I have a MyTouch 3G Slide (I know pretty old school) but I have already gotten it to do things that they said would not even be in the dreams of a MT3GS user! I am a novice software dev, but I am completely down to learn, 100% with no objections!
Thanks you guys,
Ognimnella

As far as i know, the only non-WP7 phone that can run WP7 is the aging HTC HD2. But i really don't know how far the development has come, so we may see some Android devices run WP7 in the future. Who knows! (Not me)
The wp7 rom is not open sourced so no devs try porting

So wait how have people been able to create WP7 like apps (Launcher7, Seven Calc, Photo Safari, WP7Contacts, etc.)

They rewrote the programs, these ports don't share source with the original wp7 versions. That's why the Android version of these programs work a bit different.

Is there any way to install android 3.0 honeycomb on samsung galaxy s2.
Thanks
As there is no source code available for HC - nope there's no way to port it over

But how did they port it to HD2 and N1?
I dont know about the N1 an HD2 ports but i think they suffer from the same problems as the DHD port:
No phone
Very laggy
Loads of missaligned stuff on the screen
Loads of things just not working

They are ports of the SDK. Ports of the SDK are generally barely usable with lots of bugs. Also, it takes a tremendous amount of effort to iron out this bugs. This is one reason why there isn't a SDK port for sgs2. Its simply much easier to port it if the source code was available (which it isn't btw)
Any chance that this could happen?

Short answer no, That was an official update from htc and ICS is around the corner and all dev teams are focus on that. For us HP TP users that means a pretty solid tablet os when they port it over.
Hope that helps

would you guys stop it please?
honeycomb source WAS released along with ICS... simple answer to why you wont see any HC ports onto the tp is, that it doesn't make any sense porting HC to any device anymore when the next iteration of Android was already released too..
Is it possible to port Windows Phone 7 onto our little hero? I don't exactly know the required specifications for a device to run WP7, but surely it must be possible?
Bump

Wp is closed source and will therefore be (nearly) impossible to port. Hero doesn't have the specs needed either
sent with love from me to you
You could use launcher7 if you want, but a wp7 rom is unlikely.
Hello Guys,
I Found this on XDA Android Developer...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1812583
Good luck for DEV Users I can't port this because I have no idea
It's not a Desire C ROM port for another device, only for the DC. This is useless to Legend devs.
And even if it was usable, we still haven't fixed outstanding bugs in Sense Gingerbread, and Sense Zero. How on earth could we benefit from a bootable Sense 4 port? It'd be more of a burden than a blessing.

No way to use cm9 as base and port sense and other apk's from desire c to this cm9 rom?
Sent from my HTC Legend using xda app-developers app
If that was possible (it is I think with the way more open and popular devices), then we would have had hybrid stock Sense roms, and Sense apps and widgets outside of Rosie a long, long, long, LONG, time ago. Like 2010 long time ago.
