Where can I download latest AT&T baseband? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
So, my current baseband version is N_01.77.07P and I just installed Dorian's RedPill v4.
Earlier, I did some weird stuff like installing a retail brazil radio SBF to allow me to unlock my permanently network-locked phone.
However, I think I should upgrade my radio back now, right?
I searched around for download links but everything is broken (even this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1163009l)
Should I upgrade my radio and if so, where can I download the latest SBF?

*bump* Anyone?

The two radios that people use are 1.77.36p and 1.77.37p. I've used both and am currently using .37p. These are zips not sbfs so just flash it in recovery.
EDIT: Well I can't post outside links, so I PM'ed it to you.

[Q] Atrix Version OLYLA_U4_0.50.0

Hey,
I'm from Brazil and I just got an Atrix from a local operator.
The version is that one from the title.
I was just wondering if i can flash any other sbf (so I can eventually flash a gingerblur or something like that).
Thanks!
Second it, since I would probably be getting the same version (I'm from Argentina), Were you able to get root access?
i'll try it right now..
i just got the phone yesterday!!!
I'll post the results...
Can't root with superoneclick
it do not accept the OLYFR_U4_1.26 spf...
i think, by now, i'm stuck!!
Try the GladRoot script... not super 1 click... by all accounts the Atrix dev teams think that's a bad solution. That's a different fw version than the bell or at&t, so it still may not work.
Bump, did it work?
you can't flash a sbf from another carrier. if you did, you just lost your phone for being impatient and not reading the forums.
If these versions are so different and carried by others might the bootloaders be unlocked or are these operators from south america subsidiaries of att?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA Premium App
Strange...that version string is similar to the Canadian Bell Atrix (OLYLA_U4_0.37.4).
another no go... this time with GladRoot v4
psneuter failed
anyone, any sugestions?

I know it would problably not work... I read about it...
but that's ok.. the phone just wont accept it, but it does before changing anything... so everything still works just as I bought it!
I can return it to the store if something goes whrong within 7 days... so that's why i'm not worried if something gets broken!
Chances are this version has all the current root methods patched, and will not be able to be rooted. I'd need a device to play around with to know for sure.
Perhaps the rest of the international versions are the same? what about the korean, or the Uk version?

It's very likely this is the case as well. Again, without a device in front of me to test with it's hard to say. If someone wants to post a dump of the device I can look at that as well.

If you can teach me how to dump, i`ll do it today!
And thanks for the reply! it`s always nice to have a quick reply from the developer himself!!!!
No one can make a quick tutorial on dumping?
Can be on windows, linux or osx.

Hi,
I've created a dump using the information provided at the modaco link above. As I never did it before, I don't know if it's correct. I used the following command "busybox tar cvf dump.tar /system". Here is the link:
http://www.filesonic.com/file/820080431/OLYLA_U4_0.50.0.tar.7z
When I tried to flash SBF 1.5.2 I got the following message (at phone): "sec_exception: febe, 35, 35" (or something like that). I'll be happy to provide more information if needed.
Cheers,
Thiago Souza
Root for this SBF
Follow the guide in my signature. This should work for all future SBFs
BTW, I would update to the Telstra one which is leaps ahead of the SBF you guys have gotten.
Whats the diference between ours and the telestra?
Many improvments?
Under the telestra one can we flash custom sbfs?
Tks

Don't think you can just flash any firmware. you have to make sure that it is compatible with the hardware you have in your phone (but if you mean flashing AT&T builds, it might be possible. Then again, why would you do this? lol Oh, and this is providing that you have unlocked your bootloader. If you didn't, only official updates made for your specific phone and region will work. However, even if you're unlocked, don't try to just flash a ROM for say, the Desire HD, and expect it to work.

Yes, given you have either the CWM zip (for unlocked bootloader) or the sbf. If you unlocked your bootloader, TAKE CAUTION WHEN USING A SBF. WHEN IN DOUBT, JUST FIND THE CWM VERSION. And of course, if you can't find one, which i doubt, request and someone (or i if i have time) will make one =]

the latest stable radio is N_01.77.36P
the file u can find in there will say N_01.77.36P_usa_att_.zip
but i'll work just as well for the rest of the world
edit:actually the latest is N_01.77.37P but it's full of bugs so don't flash it....
looking at the screenshot from the original link u have posted,

looks like the radio you are looking for is N_01.87.00R
I've used 36p and 37p radios but both makes my atrix reaaaaaally warm, I've founded on another post that I can flash the radio with modded HSPA+ thing so my atrix doesn't burn my pocket, I've take a leap of faith and flashed this file, now my atrix is on UMTS mode, I'll keep testing if that radio works for me

[Q] Atrix 4G MB860 SKT Version

Hi All,
First of all I would like to thank everyone at XDA who has invested their lives to make our phones look and work better day by day...
I am very confused right now and have been searching the whole internet for three weeks now but didn't got any solution as yet.
I have got a Motorola Atrix 4G from Korea that has the following information:
Model : MB860
S/W Version : 4.5.2A- SKT-167
Android Version : 2.3.5
Kernel Version : 2.6.32.9- 00004-gfbc 746e
My problem is that the stock rom currently installed is flooded with Korean language. I want to put a pure english stock rom into my Atrix that has all the stock options enabled. Which rom is suitable for this purpose and also as Korean SKT version doesn't have SBF files over the internet, therefore how can I restore to stock if things went into the wrong direction. BTW I have already rooted my phone.
While searching, found some files at "main.develoid.com:81/%40%20MOTOROLA/Atrix/" that I am not sure helpful for any thing or not.
Thanks in advance for all your help and support.
Ignore this and search for "how to know if my atrix is bell or ATT", then flash the proper sbf

Thanks for ur reply but I am already aware of this fact that my Atrix is not from any of these two i.e. ATT or Bell. My phone is from Korea and is from SK Telecom South Korea. It is a MB860 with SKT software version.
The SKT is the version of the rom. There are only 2 atrix models: ATT and Bell. It doesnt matter where are you from, my Atrix is Bell and we dont even have it in Brazil...

I have googled but haven't been able to find anything useful regarding ATT and Bell. Have found a new info as the FCC ID for ATT and Korean Atrix are different
ATT Atrix 4G FCC ID: IHDP56LS1
My Korean Atrix 4G FCC ID: IHDP56LS2
I am not sure as if this has something to do but I considered it worth sharing...

Please remember that questions go in the Q&A section.
Contrary to what was posted earlier, there are three Atrix models (MB860, MB861, and ME860). But you seem to know which one you have already. Also, never flash an SBF unless you have no other choice.
Did you try going to Settings, Language & keyboard, Select locale and see if you can choose English? Might not work because I think that is the Korean GB235 software.
Is the device rooted with an unlocked bootloader? If so, you should be able to flash a AT&T stock fruit cake.

Thanks for your reply. My apologies for posting into the wrong section.
Right now my phone is rooted but not unlocked yet. I wanted to be safe before I can actually modify it. Least I could have a restore point to return. Thats why asking the experts for an advice.
My only issue is not the language but most of english characters are shown wrong whenever I receive a SMS. Can only have caller ID for SMS (contact numbers with +) or for the call (removing the + sign from all contact numbers). Can only send SMS with 80 characters otherwise it is converted into a MMS.
Instead of solving all these issues one by one, I believe installing a stock english rom would solve my problem. The only problem is that I am not sure which ROM can I use and what can I do if I end up into a soft brick phone.
Thanks again for taking the time to look into my problem.

Text information will probably never display properly with the Korean OS. Probably a combination of language and carrier differences.
Flashing an English ROM will solve your problems. Be sure to follow instructions for unlocking the bootloader for the Korean Atrix in the dev section. You can install any custom ROM. You can also install a stock ROM, but may have to make changes to locale and APN settings - no biggie.

Just to be clear, when I say stock ROM I mean a fruit cake. Some associate stock with sbf. As I said before, never flash an sbf (OK, only once when unlocking your bootloader). I recommend flashing this fruit cake to get you started. If you are not on AT&T, look here for changing your APN. But the very next step you take will be to unlock your bootloader. Worry about the rest later.
Thx for everything
I will unlock the bootloader tomorrow.
For the ROM, are u advising me to flash stock ATT fruitcake. Would ATT software be compatible with my phone's hardware?
Plz accept my apologies for bring unnecessarily demanding but I am very cautioned about flashing my Atrix mainly as it lacks support from Motorola.
Thanks again...

Yes, AT&T fruit cakes will be compatible You can flash any fruit cake you want, you will just need to makes the changes I posted earlier.
The one thing I forgot to mention before: depending on your country and carrier, you may need to flash a different radio. Those are available at the Atrix Reboot Project.
Once your bootloader is unlocked you can flash or restore anything want. Your phone will be free!

[Q] Installing New Firmware?

Hi,
I just installed Viperone 2.0.0. and am now experiencing slow boot times. I now realize that I should have installed the newer firmware. However I am having trouble. But as far as I can tell I am already on the newest firmware which is 1.54.401.5. Is this correct? I have only been in the Android camp about a month so I am still learning.
But I have unlocked the bootloader, rooted, s-off, and flashed a few roms mostly from following tutorials from Sakitech on youtube. So I have a fairly good understanding of the process but I am still a beginner.

That's the firmware for the 4.4.2 update I believe. If your rom is based on 4.4.3, you need 2.2.X.X firmware that is on a lot of threads. Look for Android Revolution HD thread, that one has the link to firmware as well. That should take care of it. Try updating firmware multiple times if it doesn't take it first time.

That is not even the newest AT&T software version, the latest is 1.58. In any case, you need 2.22 based firmware, as any 1.XX base will lead to long boot times (as you have experienced) as well as possible broken WiFi and Bluetooth. There is actually no "official" 2.22 firmware, but the 2.22.1504 was released for the US Developer's Edition (same phone as AT&T version, aside from branding).
Follow instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54408500&postcount=9592

Okay thank's a lot everyone. Apparently there are many seeking the same info. Team Venom just issued a complete guide to accomplish the new firmware install. I guess they were getting flooded with requests.
It is not advised to flash euro firmware on US devices

This is the international or European firmware, and as Wonders_Never_Cease indicates, its not recommended for US versions. Flashing this will probably cause reception, including NO SERVICE and other issues.
2.22.1540 is recommended for US versions, and Wonders_Never_Cease has kindly included it, along with excellent installation instructions on the link I provided previously.

Thanks for letting me know guys. You learn something new every day! :good:
Okay I am all set. That was actually quite easy. From the time I had all the files in place to the time I had my firmware and new rom installed was maybe 5 minutes. I used the method that Wonders_Never_Cease posted from the thread that was linked in this thread except I used the Venom 2.0.1 rom. Thanks again guys
