[WIP][R800x]Official Sony Beta ROM - Xperia Play Android Development

What an exciting day its been!
You will need an unlocked bootloader for this
DO NOT FLASH THIS IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING
As the Sony Beta ROM thread is currently a jumbled mess, I thought it would be best to post it here.
The R800x users have always been left out of the crowd in terms of ROMs, so I thought this would be exciting.

HOW TO:
Download the Beta ROM from here, and install as it says in the post. (Will update with better instructions in time)

Unlocking your R800x Bootloader has to be done via SETOOL 2 which is a paid service you pay for unlock packs or you can pay $24 to Alejandrissimo
(FREE ) Root = Root ... basically allows you to grant super permissions to the phone like removing bloatware like Skype and install Wifi USB tether apps and Overclocking and etc..
(PAID SERVICE ) Bootloader = allows custom roms / kernels to be installed / flashed ( Like CM9 aka ICS for us R800x people )
If you get both done YOU can basically control your entire phone by ruining cool new Operating systems / mods/ tweaks / cool apps

There currently is no data fix.
Someone tried APN Settings, but it did not help.

I am the one who has tried APN settings that you mentioned. I am no expert by any means but here is my post (you have replied).

Let me know if you need anything and I will do my best to help. I know how to flash and such. My past experience with roms/kernels is simply CM7 & CM9 from FreeXperia which I have been using for quite awhile now.

hmmm... no face unlock? It
says locked out by administrator... any way to over ride this and set up face unlock

Also I flashed the root in recovery and it says I do not have root... am I the only one? Or is this confirmed on others?

Yes SU is in the app drawer, but using root explorer and going into system folder and attempting to R/O does nothing.. it remains on R/W.....
Side note.... this is super fast... and snazzy looking too.. Any thoughts on the FaceUnlock thing? Love to get that going....
ShadowGun will not start a game... loads main menu just fine but beyond that, loading a new game or starting a previouis one bumps it to the home screen and resets the wallpaper

SahdowGun: Loads but closes when attempting to load a game.
Dead Space: Loads, video stutter on opening video. plays as awesome as ever.
Will try the following games and report:
MC3
Asphalt 6 - Loads, then lags and controls stop working... major graphical glitches
XDA----to me its a game...
Under the settings there is nice option for Developers and one of the things listed is GPU Rendering...

Just curious... does this Beta ICS rom have the latest Adreno drivers flashed? Should I attempt to flash the updated drivers? Thinking about giviing it a shot.
Flashed the adreno drivers update.zip and......... wait for it......wait for it....... still some issues ith Asphalt 6 but overall much better.... still some hiccups but vastly lessend..

I can't even figure out how to get it installed to begin with. I'm guessing it's because I don't have the right FW to begin with, but how are other people with the R800x doing it then?
OK, thanks to FPlusPS3, I figured out what I was doing wrong and got it loaded. I also get the com.android.phone thing over and over. I activated by using *22899, and I was able to make a call, but it did this weird echo feedback thing and then was unresponsive to calling after that until I rebooted.
Let's just say, not quite ready to be a daily driver! BUT It's early days! I know this is going to be awesome given time.
