As Sony has admitted the yellow tint issue:
"Sony Mobile Communications has identified that the display on a limited number of Xperia S smartphones may show a slight yellow tint if exposed to temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. This is limited to a small number of units and the cause of this has been corrected. Any consumer observing this slight yellow tint on the display of their Xperia S is welcome to contact their local customer service centre and Sony Mobile Communications will resolve this at no cost to the consumer."
Can anyone, who is facing the yellow tint issue & those without it also, identify & post there batch nos here?...may be it is written somewhere on the box....
This would help others who are planning to buy a new phone so that they can avoid faulty units.

I went to purchase Blue S3 this morning along with a friend, Both the boxes were June Mfg and Import...
Compared the screen with friends S3( *#0*# test), his S3 was perfect white, mine had pink tint on the lower 1/3 of the phone...
Showed the shopkeeper the same asked to send it for DOA, thankfully I didn't pay the amount...
Now thing is, I don't think he will replace another piece if it also turns out with pink tint problem...
So can I go to Samsung SVC and claim DOA by myself, will they agree to the pink tint issue?? Or I have to do it from shopkeeper only ??
Please clarify me about these DOA procedure and how to approach SVC if in any case I observe some problem with the unit...
Awaiting reply
Maybe they will replace ur screen. DOA works within 4 days from purchase and I doubt these pink tints or ink marks even count as a defect.
Anyways best of luck.

WHat if I compare it with another phone with no tint problem in front of them ?? Still they wouldn't acknowledge that its a defect ?
Hello,
I see strange "rainbow" colors on my phone's screen - especially red and blue, when displaying pure white background with full brightness. The color bars are moving up and down, when I'm angling phone. It's not bothering me when displaying photos or something with many colors, but it's annoying when reading a page with pure white background.
I'm attaching some photos. Do you have the same issue? Is it a cause for warranty replacement?
Not having this type of issue.First Clean your screen with a cloth and if it doesnt work ask Flipkart for Replacement
Don't worry dude. It's a low-quality-screen-thingy. Even without white screen try turning your mobile at different angles. Colours subdue. It's to be expected at such a low cost. For this baby, look at the screen only straight-on. Anywhere else and colours blanch.

@Srinadh - Unfortunately cleaning doesn't help. I buyed my phone from European distribution - do you mean that Flipkart is responsible for all devices or you though that I buyed it directly from Flipkart?
@loneagl - The problem is, these bars are visible even when looking straight at the screen. Do you have this issue too?
I thought that you bought directly from Flipkart... and Flipkart is responsible only for Indian Moto E's
Hi! I send an email with photos to lg customer service about my problem, but the answear is disappointing. This phone have only 4 months. Do you have the same defect on your devices?
This is an answear from lg:
With regards to your query of the backlight bleeding you have noticed on your LG G2 telephone this issue has been examined by our technical support. Unfortunately it has been determined that this form of backlight bleeding falls within the specifications of our product. This means that your telephone can not be repaired within the factory guarantee. Ofcourse you can have your telephone repaired outside the factory guarantee. This will result in researchcosts and repaircosts. I trust we have informed you adequately. Kindest regards, Ezra Duister Customer Service Representative LG Electronics Benelux Sales B.V.

What sort of "bleeding" are you exactly talking about? I don't really see anything wrong with the device. When people tend to refer to the light bleeding they mean it is coming from the space between the glass and the phone casing. Help us understand what exactly is wrong in the photos.
On the first photo, its the brighter stripe on top of screen, and on the bottom it lools like lot of tiny flashlights shining. Its more visible on colors...
I have the same bleeding at the top of the display since my G2 came back after being repaired (broken glass). So I sent in the G2 again for repair, this time on warranty, and got a new mainboard.
It's not that bad, but still annoying, especially because I paid 145€ for a new Display and some other modul.
But i don't understand why LG want from me a payment for the repair? It's weird becouse i have a warranty...
I don't know. I also think that backlight bleeding is a defect, but LG unfortunately does not think so.
I had same problem with my G2. I had this brighter stripe on the top side of the display.
I sold my G2 (16 GB), bought other G2, this time 32 GB and display is without this stripe. So it is like lottery, when you buying this phone.
Lg greece repaired mine which had way less obvious bleeding than yours, no questions asked, i don't know why they are asking you to pay for it...
Hi all,
Yesterday i got my repaired Xperia Z2 back. The actual Problem with a "Green Tint" Error showing when watching Photos in the Sony Album didn't get solved. The Company who repaired the Phone replaced the Display with a new one. They told me that there are two official Xperia Z2 Displays are being sold, one normal and one blueish one. I said i want the normal one, but that one wasn't the normal one like the one that was built in when i bought it. Now the Display is very YELLOWISH, i can do a White Balance in Android Settings, but when i Boot, the Sony and Xperia Boot Logo is set to Default, the YELLOWISH. Is there any way on how to do a COMPLETE White Balance, so EVERYTHING runs with my White Balance Setting, not only Android? Is there for Example a different Firmware or anything which could remove the YELLOWISH Tint OVERALL? The Repair of the Display costed me 200€, i would have to replace it a second time for 200€, which would be very ugly.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/general/kcolor-z2-change-screen-values-contrast-t3196072 This would probably help. you'll need root and recovery though.
Hello, for a couple of days now i.ve noticed a yellow stain (seen on white background) on the top left corner on my screen. I.ve seen that their are common at z2 tablets. My phone was not exposed to water in the last weeks, so i have no explanation for this. I am out of warranty. I am not extremely bothered by this, but i want to know the reason why it appeared and if there is any possible fix for this.
Thank you
I dont think there will be a fix for the yellow stain as its a hardware issue. I think your screen will be replaced. this issue is also common on iphones its borders get all yellowish i got my screen replaced too when i had iphone 5s. I think u need to get your screen replaced
I see.now that my screenshot didn.t captured the problem. So i searched on google an example. But my stain it.s more pale compared tot that. Not so obvious
No warranty left here. And no.sony service close-by...

its a hardware issue you have to replace the screen
Thank you
Do you know if it is somehow because of water infiltration? Or it has no connection with that?
It's a common problem affecting many devices, it 's produced by heat on specific areas, on Z1 and Z2 it mostly appears next to the charging port because of the high temperatures produced by the hardware underneath the screen. They will replace the whole screen if it's still under warranty.
