Sony warmed the hearts of its fans by announcing the company's Ice Cream Sandwich update roll-out plans back in December last year. Sadly, the wait will take a bit longer than expected, as the company has announced the Xperia Arc S, Neo V and Ray updates will be pushed back to mid-April.

Previously, the company promised the aforementioned devices will get their serving of ICS in March, but the development is going behind schedule and that's not going to happen.
And we've got even worse news for the owners of Xperia arc, Xperia PLAY, Xperia neo, Xperia mini, Xperia mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active, and Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman, which will have to wait until the end of May or beginning of June to receive their Ice Cream Sandwich update. Hope it doesn't melt until then...
In addition, Sony has announced that the update in question will not be pushed over-the-air. Instead, it'll be available via the company's PC Companion or Bridge for Mac suites. This was done to ensure stability and successful completion of the update once it downloads.

I think you should use the Sony Ericsson Update Service :
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Mobile-Phone-Tools/Sony-Ericsson/Update-Service.shtml
I tried to update OTA, but the phone said it was already up-to-date. Then I checked by SEUS, and voilà, my phone is now powered by Android 2.3.4
I hate to bring you the bad news but I'm just as disappointed as
you probably will be after reading this. Long story short: in Barcelona Sony promised an official ICS update for the Xperia S
sometime in April, then it all of a sudden we woke up in May with no
update and last week Sony officially said that, well, let us quote: “Xperia
S is planned to get ICS somewhere around late May/early June. That’s
what’s been said and that’s still what we’re sticking to. Any other dates
(such as “June/July”) is just speculation. The roll out is, as always,
gradual and will not happen over night for all phones. Some phones
might get the update in late May whilst other will get in i mid June etc“.
Now it turns out that someone “mixed things up” and “they are really
sorry”. I feel sorry, for those who purchased an Xperia S( including me) , flagship
Sony Android for 2012, and it still isn’t running ICS. But it will,
eventually, in case this too isn’t a mix-up: “Xperia S will get it during
latter part of Q2“. As far as those who own 2011 Xperias are concerned,
they “will get ICS during late May/early June. Which was the timing I
mixed with the Xperia S timing“. No other comment is necessary! Hang
on there, just one more month!

omg im gonna destroy myself just because i saw this thread on the general page..
Hi there,
I just read that the ICS update for the Xperia S is not coming in June but later. That's the bad news. The good news is that it will most likely be ICS 4.0.4 instead of 4.0.3 (which the 2011 Xperia devices will be updated to).
Let's hope they release an intermediate update which fixes the missing internal memory apps.

I think i remember reading a few days ago that Sony said that the update would arrive on time and that there was a big chance that it would even be a little earlier.
Where did you read this?

On two different Dutch tech sites. To quote the Sony representative:
Re: Ics Release IN JUNE / JULY IN THIS YEAR 2012
OK, looks like I've mixed things up. I'm really sorry for this.
- The ICS roll out for Xperia arc S, ray and neo V started some time ago.
- The rest of the 2011 Xperias will get ICS during late May/early June. Which was the timing I mixed with the Xperia S timing
- Xperia S will get it during latter part of Q2.
Sorry.

THREAD CLOSED.
i am trying to find all the answers to start making improvements to my sony ericsson xperia neo v (mt11a). for the past two weeks it seems asking question and getting small answer from probably and not sure. give me the idea to start a thread for this question for apparently no one decided to make the diference between the two versions in reference to rooting flashing kernels and roms from mt11i to mt11a. in short please guys i would love for your input into making my phone run as smoothly as all of yours . thank you all for your support.
rooting method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601038
I have officially confirmed for my fellow noobs that flashing. To my 11I firmware will not take away 3g functionality. Hence go ahead and follow method by madfish to flash and root with custom firmware or rom. Have any questions I am willing to help to the best of my ability. Here is a screenshot of my mt11a running mt11i ics 4.0.4 build. 431 and custom Rom Xperia pureness. Thanks again madfish and jofensu for their wisdom.

The Playstation Mobile App has been updated to support the following HTC devices:
One V
One X
One S
One XL
One EVO 4G LTE
One X+
After installing it and finding out that it still doesn't work I went to the Playstation Certified Devices page and found this. I think it's funny that we have gotten more info from this than HTC.

Maybe we area getting
It takes more then just installing the apk. You need the framework, etc/permissions, etc/bins, libs, and more. But it works.
I have Xperia playstore, PlayStation, walkman, infinity, Sony bravia, xloud sound, and timescape working fine. A few glitches but a good over all hybrid.

I posted this saying that the Playstation Mobile app now officially supports our phone, however, you need to have 4.1 installed which suggests that we might be getting it soon.
This was mentioned in the jelly bean wager thread but nonetheless its exciting. I, for one of many countless others, cannot wait until jb is released for our phone.
