I am using a Ginger DX 2.3.7 released last year.
I trying to flash the ICS kernel and keep failing. End up I just realize I haven't unlock the bootloader. I attempted many things in my flashtool to unlock it but still fail to unlock the bootloader.
In the flash tool:
I pressed for APK installer
I pressed for recovery installer
Ended up my phone's boot screen Stopped at "sony erricson".
Is the flashtool capable to flash back the generic kernel and ROM at this moment?
I just try to flash the generic kernel i downloaded:

Ur bootloader is locked.
I think the best bootloader unlocking guide is on the flash tool thread here on xda..
But since ur stuck at Sony logo, ull hv to first use Sony PC Companion to repair ur phone. Just connect ur phone n open PC companion. Itll mostly tell u that ur phone is up to date. Click on that part n then look for a repair option. Follow the steps n after Sony flashes its stock ROM ur phone will work
Then check out the bootloader unlock guide n once uve successfully unlocked it, follow feralab's instructions to install his ROM

Solution for not detecting ftf
Check out my post in here for solution
I'm trying to flash lamma sweet kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/kernel-llama-sweet-kernel-t3286514 on a LG g4 h811 running Resurrection remix.
I've had nothing but trouble doing this with 2 builds.
It sends me to fastboot however I can't remember that fastboot said,
heres what fastboot says
FASTBOOT MODE
PRODUCT_NAME - msm8992_p1_two_us
VARIANT - msm8992_p1_two_us Toshiba 32GB
HW VERSION - rev_10
BOOTLOADER VERSION - N/A
CARRIER INFO - N/A
SERIAL NUMBER - LGH811[omitted]
SIGNING - production
SECURE BOOT - disables
LOCK STATE - locked
[1400]
[1450] Fastboot mode started
Click to collapse
I have sence then done the following
1) tries to get into fastboot using all methods available to me.
a) using the button combo
b) using my reboot menu
c) using adb
All the above methods simply reboot the device. so I'm thinking I don't have fastboot anymore.
My setup.
- I'm using a LG g4 h811 on T-Mobile
- I use twrp as my recovery
- My bootloader is unlocked
- my developer options have allow oem unlock enabled
- I'm running official running Resurrection Remix http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/rom-resurrection-remix-5-6-0-lg-g4-t3287313
- Here's my about phone

}
- my selinux set to is permissive (so i can use Viper4android)
If I've left anything out let me know and I will edit it on here.
Edit: right now I think my my main issue is i cant access fastboot.
My ultimate goal is to flash lamma sweet kernel.
edit 2:
i am now on resurection remix official (not blackjubels edition) post edited to reflect that.

Hi everyone!
Not sure if this is in the right category so i apologize..
I've got Marshmallow (rooted, xposed..) and before i wanted to update it to Nougat i made a hard reset so i start from beginning with Nougat.
In Flashtool while flashing there was error and there was one info that said USB debugging must be on.. Great, now i can't even boot my phone.. After some tryings there is no more Update failed message while trying to boot it but just Sony logo stays forever...
Please help me coz i don't know what to do anymore, i need my phone ofc... Thank You!..

P.S. Xperia Companion Software Repair doesn't work coz bootloader was unlocked..
download the latest flashtool
http://www.flashtool.net/index.php
use the built in xperifirm button to go grab the right software for your phone, then flash it in flashmode. The tool tells you when it's ready and tells you what to do. (phone powered off, connect usb cable while holding vol-down WHEN PROMPTED)
You can leave all the options default on the firmware selector screen, though you may wish to tick the "USERDATA" box under wipe if you want to start fresh.
