Anybody come up with some clever lines to say after a girl goes, "oh my god its so big!!" LOL

I work in a Mom and Pop auto shop, well we were looking something up on the office computer and my NOTE was sitting on the desk. In walks a vendor dropping off some parts, he looks at my phone and asks "is that a phone?". i said yes, he goes "thats a phone?" in a much higher pitched voice, and then i showed him.... ya its a phone, he goes "OH MY GOD! Thats a phone! put it up to your ear."..... guess you had to be there....
Wait til you see how small the penis! er.. pen is.. stylus.
What?
Yeah I've had many fun comments on both my phone and my beautiful white Sena pouch. My friends thought it hilarious to think of me living in a giant's world as I held the phone up to my ear. I've also had many try to steal my stylus to play draw something.. only to be quite disappointed.
I heard that so many time this week lol. After they say its so big i ask if they want to play with it

yep , the GF grabbed the stylus and was like ... "can I use to pla.... Oh , "
Was a smile moment there on my end.
Actually had a gal see my Note, and come running over saying "yummy, I want one".
I loved that day...
so it wasn't a pick up line, rather a lack thereof. Now THAT'S a good wingman.
Is that a Note in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
People seem to be more excited about the Note. For whatever the reason, the Dell streak was lame and the Note is cool to people. haha

It may have been heavy but it was still awesome. First 5" phone in a world where 4.3" was considered too big. I've said it before and ill say it again, the streak was never meant for the consumer public, it was designed for the medical field and at the last moment they switched it to a consumer phone. The weight was from its sturdy design. I would have bought its successor if it had one and it came before the note.
Heck I still use my streak as a backup / home device

No joke. Ahead of its time. In fact, if it had a successor, I would choose it over the Note. Just sayin'
If you don't use a case for either of those 2 devices, the Streak feels much better with its sturdiness. That's mostly due to the fact it's metal.
The Note does have a bit of that 'cheap feel' with its plastic, but if you use even just a TPU case, that basically nullifies that issue.
I feel that I have become a better 'smooth talker' from owning both those phones. My co-workers and close friends still continue to tease me in a joking way after I got the Note.
It continues to be an instant convo starter in the general public whenever I pull it out. There's basically no need to even try getting other people's attention.
Comment "Its sooo big..." Reply "that's what she said" lol Classic yet nouveau riche...

Seems like its APPLE whose doing the catch up now...
SGS2 has already all the features that the Iphone4s has.. no wonder Apple is running crazy trying to ban the SGS2..
It all makes Sense,
But I guess it won't stop Brainwashed Iphone fans to still QUE for it at midnight which makes them the HIGH I guess.
I just caught up with the new features being touted for the 4S and my only reaction was that most (hardware AND os) are being enjoyed by people on other phones already and in some cases for months. HSDPA? 3K pictures? 1080p video? Voice recognition and speech? Yep, been there and doing those.
The only good things about iPhones these days is that they make other manufacturers push their products on a little bit harder.

Developers do make some excellent games for the iOS platform. I'll admit, I've logged some serious time on Infinity Blade using my wife's iphone. Right now though, there is no finer device on the market than the SGS2. I would never trade the openess of Android for a locked down iPhone. Only device I'll consider changing to is the Nexus Prime.
Hi, do you guys think the Note is too big or not. Because I had the international Galaxy Note and I used it for a week and then sold its thinking I am going to drop it and waste the $700 I paid for. So I sold it for $680.
I think it was buyers remorse
So now I ordered the Note again this time from At&t for $300. And thinking that the size was huge and uncomfortable. Maybe if I keept it for a month I was going to get comfortable withe the size.
Your opinion's. Thank you.

The size of the screen is why I am purchasing one! I purchased the Infuse for the screen size and wished at the time it was a little bit bigger. I am a heavy user for my job so the larger the screen the less eye strain I have at the end of the day.
Cant wait untill BB gives me a call. Hoping AT&T will let them release before the 19th.
I am with you. The screen size is perfect for long days of heavy use and ease on the old eyes. So anxiously awaiting Friday and my White Note!!

I will buy it from you for 299 if you do not like it...LOL!
I think it takes a few weeks to get fully used to the size. After a few weeks when I would go back to my skyrocket, it would feels so small. I would kind of dread going back to the skyrocket, but I would because I have a case/holster which is easier when I travel. (I was always paranoid the GNote would slip out of my pocket on a flight). Now that Seidio is coming with the case/ holster combo, I may be going with my GNote more often! The skyrocket will probably be getting sold to make room for the ATT GNote!
The size of the keyboard in portrait is really optimal for typing and texting, no need to switch to landscape. The browser is great and it zooms very well to make reading a pleasure.

In 2007, 3.5" felt right.
In 2008, 3.7" felt right.
In 2009, 4.0" felt right.
In 2010, 4.3" felt right.
In 2011, 4.65" felt right.
2012 is the year we come around to 5.3".
By 2013, we will have 6" edge-to-edge displays in the current 5.3" case.
We did the same thing with TV's: 19", 25", 32" 36", 42", 46", 50", 55" and on. Long ago, 42" seemed huge.
By the end of this year, 5" plus will seem normal.
I bet the navigation app is awesome on the note!!! You probably never have to zoom to read the adjacent street names.

After owning the International one first. Yes. It is amazing.
Also the Note by far has the best GPS performance out of all phones out there.
Yup yup . . .looking forward to running waze on this bad boy
Well that depends, if you have small hands than it can suck since typing on it and holding it will be a pain in the arse, but if you have big hands like me then it's the best phone on the planet. I think that's one reason why Samsung included the S-Pen lol.

Great summary of the evolution of smartphones ever since the original iPhone.
Although in June 2010, the world would have been in greater shock if Dell had even bothered to market/advertise their Streak.
Even if they had done that...They would have still been considered 'way ahead of their time.'
Due to being spoiled with screen real estate,, I'd like to see a 6.0" screen on a phone by like next year.

After using the Note for a week. I took out my ATT 4.3" Galaxy S2 (used for 3 months before the Note) and BAMMMM, "what is this phone? Is it my phone before? I remembered it was big, Is it shrink? Am i holding a a toy phone? Tons of question just jump out. I seriously was shock for 5 seconds and i can believe in my eyes.
Just would like to share my thought. I was commit myself to go with Samsung S3->S4.... But now i think i have a new buddy: the Note
Ps: I got a small hand but this Note was amazing and has phone and tablet feature. I'm happy with my purchase.
I had the 4S for a month when it came out. now whenever I hold a friends it legit feels like a toy. I'm like how did I EVER use this small ass screen haha so I know where your coming from!
My skyrocket looks tiny now to me....lol
Same here. Went from the Atrix. Now when I hold the Atrix or even my classic IPod, I feel like I am holding a toothpick.

After playing with a Note for about 15 minutes, my Infuse now seems so small and svelte. Playing with my buddy's iPhone 4 is ridiculous. I thought that the Infuse was awesome, and didn't think that any manufacturer would go much larger for a screen, so I figured that the Infuse's 4.5" screen was the biggest I was going to get, and I was only hoping for the 4.65" screen of the Galaxy Nexus to be on my next phone. Little did I know, the Note was on it's way, and its 5.3" screen is perfect for my hands, as I can reach all corners of the device one handed, although any bigger and it would start being a stretch. I feel like the Note was custom tailored to my hands, and I know that once I have it, it will be impossible to go any smaller for a device. My infuse just feels cramped now, and the screen seems so pixelated. Samsung already had my complete loyalty due to their Super AMOLED screens, and now that the Note is here, they will need to continue it as a line of devices in the future for me to ever be happy again with mobile devices. I really hope the Note turns into a parallel line to the Galaxy S series for Samsung, as the Galaxy S series is great, just not large enough anymore nw that the Note is out. I will be a Note user for life so long as they keep putting out new versions with the same size form factor.
I think my gn is huge already .

Whether it's possible or not is ultimately up to you. You have 30 days to give it a trial from your purchase date, I suggest using your Note for most of that. I think that you will find that you can get used to it. You definitely won't have the one-handed ability that you find in your Cappy, but I think that the added utility and beastly specs will overtake that one advantage that the Cappy has.
Also, think abut it this way, and try using your phone accordingly:
When is a time where you truly need to use your device with one hand? Yes, it is convenient, but is it ever really a necessity? That text or email or phone call can wait a couple minutes until you have your hands free. Just use your phone when you have the time and ability to do so.
I see so many people trapped in their phones, trying to multitask, and failing horribly. We must remember that there is a world around us, and that if we can't devote full attention to the phone, you probably don't need to use it. Two hands may be necessary at times for this phone, so simply don't use it unless you have both hands, and enjoy the world around you. =]
Unfortunately, not everybody is blessed with hands as big as mine, where they can wield this weapon one-handed. =/
I find that I can hold this comfortably in one hand. Then use my other hand for Swyping. my inspire is definitely to small now. (I'm a girl with regular sized hands. Hold it and the bottom, buy the top 40% or so above my grip)

i finally upgraded from my aria after spending around a month debating between the note or the nexus.
after around 3 hours i was completely used to the size of the note and i dont even notice it anymore except in the few cases where i may be unbalanced in one handed use.
I came from the Inspire too, it's now in my closet in case I "need" a backup phone. The Note truly fills the void between needing a phone and a tablet.

Agree 100%. I stuck with my Eris for quite a while because I loved that I could just drop it into my pocket & hardly feel it. I got used to the 4" screen on the Dinc2 & played with all the big ones before I got my Inc4. 3.5 to 4" is my sweet spot. I hope this isn't the last medium-to-high end device of this size. I have a phone for a reason...I also have a tablet for a reason...

the only bigger screen id consider is a galaxy note type one 5.3+ where i can actually use it as a phone/tablet since the screen is big enough

It'd be awesome if the Dinc 4G had a 720p screen at 4 in, that would be an awesome mix of compactness and pixel density

I really dont think that is necessary at this size. Until i put the phone so close to my eyes that they start to cross i cannot see individual pixels. At normal viewing distance the screen is razor sharp
having owned the Inc1, Eris, i cant remember their dimensions, man the inc1 was a great candy bar like phone for after the Eris-where it all began for me.
anyway, the inc2 was just a perfect phone and will most likely always be on my favorite list of phones. The build quailty was superb.
Having owned the Rezound + and the Gnex, I got the gnex first (coming from and iphone4 (x-mas gift, lol) + inc2 for the Gnex.
I love it for about a week. It was fun to play with AOSP and ICS was new at the time.(before BAMD Paradigmn was even released), and then I just coulndt handle it for my everyday use and movement, it was too wide of a phone IMO, so I traded the Gnex for a Rezound, if the Gnex had the body of the Rezound but with the Gnex slimness, I would have love that phone.
So there I was in the Rezound community, making great friends and not-so-great friends.
This phone will get good attention once things start rolling.
It's unfortunate that Verizon locked us out, so I have 3 inc4gs and only one is unlocked, fV<*ing sucks. (waiting on S-OFF crew to e-mail to begin work, BTW) but that IMO 100% will be back, it just depends when
what's great though, is the Rezound was not that great of a phone until about 2 months before S-OFF came, and it took 6 months before anyone even TALKED about support S-OFF for the Rez. Once that happened it blew up, and unfortunately with their forums I would say, well, in the worst way possible.
For us though, we went into this as a community knowing that they are providing their time to possibly bring us full radio S-OFF which is what really makes the phone, and we did this within 4 hours. that is simply amazing!
Anyway sorry to get off track, I personally think once we get root back and (knock on wood) S-OFF, this phone is going to take over a new life of it's own and in a good way I very much so hope.
The Inc2 community was Gold as Rezound was a 0.
I think we are going to be a very good community that will provide quality products.

but patience is a virtue.
No surprise.
Everytime I turn on the tv, I see a SG3 commercial. You were able to order it and still keep unlimited (without any extra steps). Its marketed as the top of the line phone.
On the other hand for the Inc4g, I have seen zero commercials. Even in the news, I saw a little bit about when they announced it months ago, but almost nothing when it actually came out. It came out right after the unlimited grandfathering went away. Almost all the reviews say the phone is "mediocre" mostly due to the hype eventhough the two have almost the same hardware.
In the end it comes down to marketing. If you do a great job marketing / creating hype, like with the iphone and the SG3, you'll get lots of interest. On the other hand, if you do absolutely nothing to market the phone then no one will care either because they don't know about the existance of the phone or people think it sucks. Remember the average person dosen't know anything about technology and basically depend on marketing to tell them what to buy. Even for those of us that are more tech savy, its hard to see through the hype sometimes.
I guess I'm surprised why HTC and/or Verizon would spend so much money developing a new phone and not choose to market it. Maybe the profit margin on the SG3 is alot higher.

almost the same hardware? The s3 has 2GB ram, and an amoled screen, not to mention a huge one, really the only similarity Is the CPU and CDMA/LTE

There already is one The One S on T-Mobile.
I think I'm happy with my 4.0" screen and certainly didn't want some huge 4.7 or 4.8er, but part of me wishes VZW had just let HTC put out the 4.3" One S on their network as well.
Thought of going with a Nexus 4...my friend got one today...4.7 inches feels SO DAMN SMALL!
I have seriously been spoiled here...anyone else this way too? Kind of limits my phone options a little bit...even the GNote 2 feels smaller (due to narrower screen).
Hmmm...
Yep! My wife has my Ion now (4.6") and I hold it and it feels TINY. iphone 5 feels like a kiddie toy! This feels normal to me and everyone else says its huge lol

The note 1 is the first ...."Great ".....phone ...
Then they went and borked up the note 2 width...
I'll still take one though ....LOL
Just bought a note 2 days ago and i love it
. Cant imagine using anything else.

Yeah I've been completely spoiled since it released. Couldn't go back down in size for anything no matter the specs. I'm likely going to stick it out with the i717 until note 3 or something else next year comes. My wife has a galaxy s3 which feels nice actually, but I just really enjoy the real estate far to much.

I, too, have decided to stick with my Note and wait for the Note3. Decided to spend my money on fragrances and clothing.
I love my big phone.
I would carry a tablet if I could make calls and text with it.
I think the small phone fad is coming to an end

Ditto. We are two versions behind now and probably 3 before att releases it
Yeah, I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to anything smaller. Everything just feels so small compared to my Note...
There is no way I could go back to a phone any smaller than the Note! My wife has an iPhone 4s and its just so small! Couldn't do it. I got rid of my 7" tablet because I found myself using the Note for everything I used to use the tablet for.

I'm also going to wait it out for the note3. I wasn't even tempted to buy the nexus 4 since the screen is smaller than the note. Maybe it will be worth the wait and the note3 will have 1 week battery life. :victory:
Yep, when I bought my Note I was fully aware the Note 2 was just a few months away. But when I learned the Note 2 was losing the slightly thicker screen for a standard wide-screen form factor, with no bump in resolution or camera, I decided not to wait.

Ill probally never feel the same with another phone in my hand again. it felt like i was gonna break my brothers iphone when i had it

I did the same with my tablet. I had a Playbook (which really is a killer tablet, best I've ever used) but after owning the Note I realized I hadn't touched my tablet in a couple weeks. Had no desire to really. Sold it!
I tell people if you are in the market for a new phone and tablet, just get a Note! It really is a all around replacement.

This is my problem with the Note 2...played with one for the first time the other day at the Verizon store and even though the screen is technically larger it sure as hell didn't feel like it. That's the problem with the Note 1...not only has the size spoiled me, but the 16:10 aspect ratio has spoiled me too. Which sucks because now I'm REALLY limited in my phone choices (uhh...one choice...)!

Same here. Even holding a SIII felt so small...and its, what, 4.7 inches?! Don't even get me started on the iPhone 4/5...they feel like tiny MP3 players or something. Couldn't even use one if it was given to me!
I'm spoiled. Won't mind owning a Note 2. I don't like the new design really. Note 3 for me though. I think Huawei is coming out with a 6.1 inch Note competitor.
BlackStar XI Samsung Galaxy Note I717
I feel spoiled in general by Samsung, as their AMOLED screens can't be topped. Yeah, the Note has, IMO, the best screen on a phone to date, but I still appreciate my secondary phone, a Galaxy Nexus, and also at times my old Infuse and Captivate that are sitting in a drawer back home.
Though I do wish Samsung had kept the 16:10 aspect ratio, the Note 2 is nothing to scoff at. If I had the funds available to buy one, I would in a heartbeat. I'm happy with my current Note though, so it will definitely be the Note 3 for me. Let's hope they go at least 5.5" 1080p, if not up to 6". What would be really sweet would be to see them put a matte finish on the glass that doesn't distort the resolution... it's possible, but not probable. I'd also like to see them bring back a metal back like on the Captivate... Samsung got design right with that one. At the very least, a textured back again like the Nexus or on my Note's flip cover. Enough of the glossy plastic Samsung.

Mine spoiled me badly. I have to use my son's extra Captivate for several days that he has and it makes me miss my baby The Note.

Funny how its bigger but has less square inch space. They changed the aspect ratio of the screen by stretching it out skinny. I think the screen on the 1 is better personally.
I am spoiled but I'd still like to trade my note for a galaxy nexus.
I plan on finding out about the Note 2 sometime in February.
