[Q] Optimus S question

I just switched to sprint from at&t and wanted to know what the pro/cons were to rooting and installing a custom rom vs using it stock.
att disables alot of what makes an android phone android. does sprint do the same?
will I be missing out on alot if I dont root and replace the rom?
input greatly appreciated.
No sprint does not necessarily cripple the android experience, I switched from my HTC Hero on Sprint to the LG Optimus S because it offered a more stock android experience and I did not have to root to get 2.2. The only downside so far has been the Sprint ID stuff, but just install the clean ID and you should be good.

[Q] Atrix 3G ROMs / Unlock / Root

Hey Mates,
I'm an owner of an Atrix 3G (not a 4G, ATT or stuff like that), and I'm wanting to change its ROM, personalize it etc.
However, this specific forum seems to be reserved solely for Atrix 4G...
My question: even with an Atrix 3G, am I able to make all changes of ROM etc as if it were an Atrix 4G? Are the ROMs and procedures in this forum compatible for both 3G and 4G?
Regards!
The 4g is a ATT marketing term for HSPDA+. But however the sbf flash files from the att version can only be used on an att phone. The procedure for rooting applies the same to att and non att atrix phones

Thank you, mate. I was very used to HTC WinMo and even Android. However, things are a litlle bit different with Motorola. But I guess I'll handle it Cheers.

[Q] USCC Mesmerize -> to Sprint Transform?

Thanks to all for all of the great info i have found on here so far
Now the one I haven't seen an answer to.
I have a USCC Mesmerize - can it be rooted and flashed to another handset on Sprint CDMA (Same networks I believe CDMA 850) like the Transform or such.. I heard of evo's being switched to be able to be used with BOOST CDMA and that is what I would like to do with the Mesmerize. Any ideas or recommendations?
Thanks all in advance.

This is probably a really stupid question about the DNA

Can i flash GSM roms onto the Verizon DNA? im thinking of buying one not to use on Verizon, only to use GSM, id love to use the new GPe rom and i see its fine with GSM, so was just wondering, i know its more than likely a stupid Q, but ive tried searching and cant find an answer, and ive never used a Verizon phone as a gsm unit on another network

Thank you very much
The DNA is a global phone, so it has both CDMA and GSM radios. The hardware isn't the question. Most Sense ROMs are globally compatible, and AOSP ROMs require the GSM patch found in the CM10.1 thread. You can also run Sense 5 Android 4.2. Us VZW users can't.
So yes, it will work just fine.

[Q] Foxhound for CDMA Verizon SCH-i545?

Just curious if this ROM works on the Verizon version of the phone. Looks like only GSM ones, but wanted to make sure before I did anything dumb.
