In call internet browsing !!!!!

While I was on a call the other day I decided to browse the internet during the call....FAIL
I wondered if there was something wrong with my phone so I tried it on another call after I restarted my phone and still not internet during call. I called T Mobile to ask them about this and they told me that the HTC One does not support that feature.
That just sound crazy to me because I was able to do it with my 2 year old myTouch 4g.
Has anybody else tried or experienced the same?
Does anybody know any information or a fix to this?
I searched around the threads for a while to see if anybody noticed this or made a thread about it but I didn't see anything. If there is other information regarding this please direct me.
Hmmm I can't say about web browsing but I can confirm you can send and receive text while in the phone. I'll try browsing next time I'm on a call.

Are you sure you had 4G and not on EDGE.

It's working for me.
Tried it just a few minutes ago...works fine for me
Is your device a tmobile HTC One? Were you on 4g when you tried to browse while on call? Do you even get 4g service? Browsing while in call requires for you to be in 4g.

Thanks everybody for your responses. I was able to get messages but it just wouldnt let me browse the internet. And yes I was on 4g but not lte...if that helps. Maybe I will just try again after another reboot and see what happens

Is your device a tmobile device? I seen some thing on the web where people with dev edition or people using att device with tmobile couldn't browse while in call. Is the reason I ask. If you have a dev edition on tmo network, that might be the problem.

UPDATE
Update:
I did a complete shutdown, not restart. Then I powered my phone back on after about 5 mins. I later tried to browse the internet while on the phone and...IT WORKED!!!
I dont know why but Im happy. So if anyone else is having this issue try that.
Sidebar:
I spoke to a Tmobile rep about the issue and he told me that the HTC One does not support on call interenet browsing.....
Cleary he was clueless...smh lol
It has worked fine for me while connected to bluetooth Ford Sync I was able to post comments on Facebook while on the phone in Honolulu on 4G, pretty sure anything other than 4G and wifi it won't work

I believe that what you experienced is just a general, minor Android bug. I've owned numerous devices, and everything from the mytouch 4G, to the Nexus 4, has given me a rare issue where sometimes when I'm making a call, I'll try to load the web, and see that I have no data. In order to regain my data, I'll have to end the call, wait a few moments for the data to fully restore itself, and then I can make the call again and use the web.

I think it is normal for data connection to not work properly right after your phone/IMEI/SIM is first activated with T-Mobile's system..... always takes a reboot.

Glad you got it to work. That rep you talked to was indeed clueless: browsing data while on a call isn't a "feature"; it's how the freaking network works. All GSM/UMTS/HSPA+ networks allow you to do this (in the US, this is tmo/att). CDMA networks work differently and don't allow EVDO use (3G) while on call. I think most verizon phones with LTE do allow you to use LTE and voice at the same time, though it might depend on the exact baseband setup. CDMA, blech.

[Q] HTC one phonebook problems

Ive looked through the forums and googled my problem with no luck. I keep getting random numbers saved to my phone book titled "xxxxxxxxx" with phone numbers such as "123456789" there is no way ive found so far to delete them or even what they are. Im hoping they arent intrusive. hopefully someone can help me. I know its nothing serious but still i an a little ocd and hate having numbers in my phonebook that have no use. also does anyone know how to get rid of the tmobile pre installed numbers such as minutes balance, check my balance and what not. Im running on OTA stock unrooted. anything would help and thanks. If im in the wrong post apolizes as this is my first post

Cant unactivate phone/error 16

So I bought a virgin mobile s2. It is still activated and I have no way to access the account. Also if I call people it gives an error 16. Is there any way at all to fix this or will I just have to sell it as it? Thanks
This thread is on the HTC forums but the issues detailed in it sound very similar.....have a look and maybe follow the advice....but (obviously) contact *your* service provider.....might help...

Need help with htc one max

I recently purchased an HTC one max, after making sure it was for the sprint network and verified the esn was clean and clear. After trying to activate it via built in program.... No luck. I kept getting an error code saying I need to call sprint directly. I called sprint and after talking to a few different reps, one finally had an answer on why I can't activate the phone. I was told that the phones
wi-max id was not in there system, and they needed to do a "click it ticket". Does anyone know if there is a way around this, or a fix to get this $600 dollar paper weight on the network? Please let me know, and thank you in advance.

why cant you just take it back to Sprint, and have them fix/replace it?
Because they are trying to pawn it off on HTC because they are retards and can't figure it out lol
