[MOD] Multi-DPI upgrade for DAGr8 alpha 1 to alpha 2 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

I extracted only the multi dpi applications that were modified in the original alpha 1 ICS rom by DAGr8 to create alpha 2. This is so people that have alpha 1 don't need to reflash the entire rom to get the multi DPI stuff.
Flash with CWM.

ok . thx for that
not sure this deserves its own development thread , make sure you took the dpi fix zip aswell , since some app did break dpi in the alpha2 build .

Yes the dpi fix is in there so if you put it in your thread I can ask a mod to close this.

[Q] Theming a stock Galaxy Tab 10.1

Is this possible?
I am familiar with the process of doing it on a rom for my Captivate but that is rooted and has CWM installed on it where I can just flash it through there.
Anybody at all?

Themes are possible on stock as long as you deodex the rom. Same as on captivate once themed to flash it. CWM and root instructions in sticky in dev.

But if I am deodexing the rom then it isnt really stock anymore then is it?
Yes, its technically not stock anymore since your combining the odex and apk into single file. But as far as I am aware, you have to deodex the Captivate to theme. When I themed my captivate I would only deodex /system/app/systemui.apk (.odex), /system/framework/framework-res.apk (.odex) and leave the rest at stock.

Go to sammobile.com and search for gt-i5500 ROM's. You'll get all the stock ROM's you need. For gingerbread, use cyanogenmod 7.

Can I ask why you wouldn't just download a custom rom? You're making a lot of work for yourself by building on stock... CyanogenMod is stable now by the way and everything works so I don't see why you need to mod stock?
To be honest stock roms work best on this device I only have to edit and tweak a few things and add some scripts the hardest part for me will be the theme side of things and I can also port so I just want to try and make a good rom with no bugs with good performance without a rom that's already been modded

From my understanding yes. A developer would more likely to give you specifics, but the updater script is what tells recovery what to do. Depending on how/what you are using to make your rom you might be able to add it to the script automatically. I know disxda kitchen gives you the option to do so.

I don't know.
Is from "Mohd Shakirin" (Youtube).
But in HTCMANIA said that this rom isn't cm10.2 (4.3), is a maclaw version but Mohd Shakirin changed the version to 4.3 :good:
Bye!
2 things:
1. If you didn't make it and are just reposting it, it goes in general and not android development - thread moved.
2. Obviously fake, someone has just edited the build.prop.
