can someone tell me step by step or a guide to get my phone back to stock? I need 4G now, My phone is unlocked using CM7 and I heard getting back to stock with locked boot-loader requires a bit of instructions if someone can help ?

QBKing77 has a youtube video of how to unbrick/return to stock. Watch that it will literally walk you through.

All you need to do is download the sbf files and flash them through rsd, it relocks the bootloader and returns to stock

i thought u needed to flash a relock bootloader file ?

You can do either, a SBF will restore you back to stock rom locked bootloader and stock recovery, BUT it wipes your phone completly.. Flashing just the relock bootloader file wont wipe all the data from your phone.

flashing the relock bootloader wont wipe data then what happens to CM7?

You cannot have clockwork recovery or custom kernels with bootloader relock. So no 4G with any CM ROM. If you need 4G, your only options are stock, deblured stock and locked ROMs. Nothing else will give you 4G.

Correct me if im wrong but cant you just ##786# in dialer and hit reset to default and it reformats ur phone? Ive done it before nd it returned me to stock, either that number or a different dialer menu

Won't work. ##786# is no different than doing a factory wipe in recovery. It doesn't touch the bootloader or kernel and it's the changes to the bootloader that breaks 4G.

Does SBFing wipe the internal SD card too. Will I lose all information on the internal card by SBFing?

no, internal sd card gets untouched so your fine

I just sbf, but it didn't totally erase my phone. I still have all the apps that I had on the phone when I was unlocked and rooted. I tried to reroot the phone, but got an error. I thought when you sbf, it put you totally back to stock, completely erased?
I didn't do a factory reset before I SBF, if I just factory reset now will that work, or will I have to redo the SBF after I factory reset?

na you can do factory reset after you SBF. I actually needed to factory reset the first time after SBF because the phone wouldn't boot, its wierd because I get different results after each SBF....

[Q] Relocking Atrix Phone?

My phone has had an issue of randomly shutting off for awhile now.
Even with every type of version and before I unlocked it.
It's currently on 2.3.4 Unlocked with the pudding ota.
What should I do? Is it necessary to remove all signs of unlocked when I send the phone back to Motorola after they will likely already send me a new phone to replace it?
If possible, I would recommend locking it back up and "unrooting" (if you are currently rooted)...

I actually had to reset my phone and I returned it completely back to stock. The bootloader can be locked again. I completely unrooted and wiped my phone clean. Just flash back to the stock rom and factory data wipe. The unlocked message will go away and so will root.

Could someone please make a working pudding remover

The nopudding4u download that someone posted doesn't work and gives Fail to boot 2 errors to everyone who tries it out.
Could one of you please make a pudding remover that works? I would like to relock my bootloader, so that way my 4G will work. I don't want to reflash an entire sbf as I want to keep my data.
I just relocked my bootloader with the pudding remover... it says that it's failed... but it works.. make sure you flashed the stock recovery before you relock... but I kinda did it backwards... but it works...
I would get Fail to boot 2.
I had to reflash pudding to get my phone to boot.
I really want to remove pudding and the steps provided don't do much.

I'm wondering as to what exactly is the problem with nopudding4u that makes it fail to work properly.
I believe that Failed to boot 2 error means that your battery is below 50% charge. The RSD softeware on the phone won't let to flash if you're under 50% battery.
I got that error and then put my Photon on the AC charger. Tryed again 20 minutes later and the boot worked.
what does Failed to boot 4 mean?
Work it does not, rsd you must do.

Make sure you guys have the right nopudding.sbf I had the failed to boot 2 a while ago when I flashed an electrify.sbf by mistake and It nearly terminally bricked my phone. I have locked and unlocked multiple times using the correct nopudding I believe there is also a stock sbf that will relock, but I'm not sure where to find it, I would assume try googling it.

I unlocked a while back to check out ICS. I then flashed back to stock using the 198_7 sbf and did a factory wipe. My phone no longer said unlocked during boot and everything was good. However, a couple days back I decided that I wanted to unlock again to try some new cool things. During the unlock process, I flashed the pudding sbf and when it reboot it said unlocked. I didnt have to go through the cmd steps and enter my unique ID. So that has me wondering if I was ever really relocked. I definitely had the stock recovery. So, even if my phone does not say unlocked during boot, should I flash the nopudding4u sbf? I ask because I will be traveling to a wimax area soon and want to make sure that I can use it.
Thanks guys.

u only have to put in the unique I'd once. Its like unlocking the door that allows u to open and close it. I believe with 198_7 u don't need to use no pudding, but I have been on cm9 a long time and my memories a little foggy. U can however flash it just to be safe.

Flashed pudding 2.3.5 for the Photon, now what?

I don't read well, apparently, and flashed the Electrify 2.3.5 file in hopes of unlocking my bootloader.
Has anyone else (I have read that a handfull of people have been stupid like me) had any luck unbricking the device?
I have access to RSD protocol and Fastboot.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: The only thing my phone says now is:
SUF: 108:1:2
Failed to boot 3
----------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT #2: Downloaded someones CWM flashable kernel and flashed to boot.img via moto-fastboot. Not I have an "Failed to boot 2", which people have recovered from. I am currently flashing (198_7)-1FF-sunfire-user-2.3.4-4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_7-CM-release-keys-signed-Sprint-US.sbf and it's 55% completed, which is higher than it got before........
EDIT #3: It failed.... waiting for re-enumeration...

now just a clarification but is it possible to, without Motorola files, to unlock the boot loader our selves? Is there any coding work to unlock this boot loader on our own?

You have to flash something to gain the abilty to unlock the bootloader thru fastboot.

If you would not mind can you please outline what you did?
This is what I did:
1. Installed regular pudding
2. Installed cwm recovery
3. Installed 2.3.5 for Electrify/Photon via cwm
Then did:
1. Installed stock recovery
2. Installed nopudding4g
After that I started getting the Failed to Boot 1
No matter which locked 2.3.4 I try to flash via RSD it fails on first flash pass when it tries to put the phone into BP bypass.
First to get my phone back to normal in rsd mode I flashed the sunfire sbf then to unlock my phone I used pudding unlock sbf then to get recovery I had to do the one click root then got the bootstrap app to flash cwm zip then I installed jokers stock rom

3. retry updating.

Hey Dark, I flashed the stock recovery, relocked the bootloader, ran the update again and now I get a phone pic with a red triangle and exclamation mark...any ideas?
Download one of the GB stock RUU files, rename it and place it on your external sd card and reboot into HBoot, it should automatically detect the file and take your entire phone back to complete stock, there shouldn't be any stops from updating.
Stock RUU thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1617644
rename the file to PH85IMG.zip when you place in on your sd card.

I just did a factory reset, re-downloaded the update, Im about to try the install now. I did notice one thing though when I was using Hasoon, I think it said Failed when I flashed the stock recovery...
Yep, The update failed to install again.
What radio is on the new OTA update? Can someone who has done the update, post?
No clue where recovery files go on the amaze or we could do it via recovery, just retry flashing stock recovery, if not we'll have to wait until someone pulls the file and makes a zip file to flash it, did you try flashing the recovery using the tool while the phone was in fastboot? That's probably a requirement.

Question about relocking bootloader and security warning.

So I am sending this amaze back to T-Mobile for a warrenty exchange. T-Mobile already sent me the replacement. Not going through HTC or Asuron.
I unlocked bootloader, flashed a recovery, then flashed a new rom. I made a nandroid of my stock rom I had on there before I did the unlock stuff.
So I wiped the custom rom , and restored the stock rom
So now I relocked bootloader and it says relocked and security warning. What exactly does that mean? Is it normal?
T-Mobile doesnt even care about that stuff right? I should only stress it if I was sending it into HTC. I hope lol.
The only problem I am having is when I try to master reset the phone, it takes me to the screen that says bootloader, reboot, reload bootloader, power down and I dont know why. The phone master reset fine the first time I attemped, but I just wanted to do it again. I hold the volume key down and power and the normal screen comes out with Fastvoot recovert factory reset clear storage simlock image crc , but when I click factory reset, it boots for 5 seconds and takes me back to the screen that has bootloader, reboot, reload bootloader etc etc. When I power on and off the phone, it turns on and everything is fine. Normal stock ICS.
Why cant I factory reset it again?
cause you relocked it and yes send it LOCKED
Flash a stock RUU via hboot, it's gonna wipe everything and take it back to complete stock.

It will still say relocked... So not COMPLETELY stock
If htc or tmo get a device that is "relocked" that has software issues, the warranty MAY be in jeopardy... If needed

Not really worried about it. Just wanna send it in normal, even if it says relocked. If they charge, they charge. I doubt it though. How much they charge anyway, tmobile that is. Might be able to just sell it and make some money and still pay back tmobile, seeing its on ebay for 350ish lol. Either way they already sent me a new phone.
Problem is, I did a clean wipe. Just the first one, not the other wipes. I flashed my Nandroid I made before I flashed a custom rom. Everything worked so I relocked it, but when I try to master reset, it automatically takes me to the screen that says bootloader, reboot, reload bootloader, power down and I dont know why
Am I doing something wrong?
For kicks I even downloaded the ota rom and flashed that one after i wiped the other, and when I rebooted that one , it just would flash the HTC sign. So I scratched that idea and redid what I first did.
Same happened to me. I was locking my buddys bootloader on his amaze before I flashed ics on it for him and it deleted his current rom and all of his pics... Everything ...

Also not to mention, when I flashed the ICS zip I found on here , when I went into bootloader, all these weird things poped up about not having .imgs
Nah I am S ON.
I just wanna be able to relock the bootloader and it be able to master reset lol. Not worried about it saying relocked. Like I said, everything was working fine, until I tried master reseting and it doesnt allow it. I mean even from the volume down and power method, when I press master reset, it goes right back to that screen that says bootloader, reboot, reload bootloader, power down, without even reseting or rebooting.
Should I try this method even though I am using the ext recovery? ( when unlocked of course)

Go to the directory where u have the fastboot program (ie "C:\Android\platform-tools" ) and your oem lock token
Type "fastboot OEM lock"
That should relock it.
Then take the PH85IMG and put on root of sd
Boot into bootloader and flash away. U will be good

Not only can you... You MUST relock bootloadee before flashing ics. U can find the 214.531.3 leak in Footballs thread in dev section... Careful not to get 531.1 leak... That's old
Also... Its a zip package.. not an img file... Don't confuse yourself

Wow I did not know that. I friggin flashed ICS before I relocked lol. I dont get it though. If I relock it first, wont it not have an OS on it after i wipe when it reboots itself. Do I even need to wipe period. Do I even need to use ext lol
I downloaded the tmobile flashable zip from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27058110&postcount=44
Meh anyway the one you told me to download is downloading as we speak. 2 hours left wow
and when I hit the HBOOT screen the first thing it does is say some stuff with no image no image no image no image. All ph85 stuff. Wont even allow me to flash anything if I tried. Im thinking maybe its because I havent relocked the boot loader yet? Who knows. Well see what happens when this is finished downloading
To be honest, Tmo doesn't care what you send back to them, you can just brick it if you're insecure, a bunch of people I know sent it droids with CWM and custom roms, they restore it back to stock and change what they have to when you send it in.
After you install that flashable zip, just restore stock recovery via hasoon's tool and delete the superuser.apk from system/app.

That's because its looking for your ph85img.zip file
Once u download and rename the file, and put it on ur sd card, AND relock your bootloader, it will unpack the zip and update
