[Q] Galaxy note to the tv wirelesly? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Im trying to find a solution to not having to plug my note up via hdmi cable.
so far my best option seems to be dlna but my tv doesnt have that function built in.

im trying it right now but so far its laggy as hell
my upload speed is at .6 mb on a speed test i just did on my phone
not sure if that s the reason...maybe my router is messed up

If you have a samsung tv or a smartv it the tv itself might support certain apps that will work. Samsung has Swipe, and Allshare. Other tv's might support Allshare as well.
It doesn't sound like you have one though so I don't have a better solution for you

I just bought a smart TV and would love to use my phone wirelessly to my TV not just for streaming but for games and web surfing as well.
have not played with my new TV to much should there be some sort of app/store that i need to access on my TV to get these.

[Q] Android Connect to Apple TV

So I have a couple of friends who are real apple fan boys and yesterday they kept on braggin while sending photos and videos from their phones over to their TV using Apple TV.
Do we have a hack/mod/app that would allow me to make my Android Device connect to it and toss pictures up on the screen? I wanted to do the of Android Peeing on the Apple.
Thanks guys!
Buy one of these
Edit: I think doubleTwist will let you connect to an Apple TV. Just download that.
You can try AppleTV Media from the Play store, its the best way to control and share content with your AppleTV from an Android device. I have 2 AppleTV's at home and it works flawlessly
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS56YXBwb3R2YXBwbGUiXQ..
Definitely worth a try.
Using media share u can use DLNA compatible devices, I've used my ps3. Works well but I prefer hdmi as the quality is better. Hookup ur phone via hdmi and get 1080p and 5.1 audio if ur videos are encoded with it...ask if their iCrap can do that.
Also love hooking up via hdmi and using my ps3 controller for games, especially onlive. Do that and ur apple friends will be selling their junk on eBay.

Please tell me what rom and the steps you followed to get the evolte to play nice with the sixaxis controller. I have been going crazy for 3 days trying to get this bastard to work! Please PM me or something, It will be very appreciated
Haha! Thank you guys!
If you do this, have another device taking video of the footage of your friends' reaction to the android peeing on apple footage on their nice little AppleTV. Optional: wash, rinse, repeat for android awesomeness inception.

Airdroid doesn't support live screen mirroring?..
Are you talking about viewing your desktop screen on your tablet?
Then the app Splashtop is for you. Splashtop 2 coming soon to android.
You can even use it to play games like Skyrim on your tablet.
You obviously need a great internet and graphics card.
i think he means he wants to see his tablet on the pc monitor. but youd still have to look at the tablet to use it effectively so i dont understand... unless you just want to watch movies and stuff on a bigger screen

also as adrhodes said, if you want to access your desktop from your tablet, Splashtop 2 is awesome, totally vouching for that. PERFECT for when you have a large movie collection with alot of files that are not supported by android players and you want to watch them via MyNet/etc. just open your desktop and play them through VLC or whatever your player of choice is. just like using the actual desktop. you can even access your desktop away from home, but you need to get the payed version for that.
... i feel like i just wrote an advertisement lol:laugh:

You do realize the TF300 has a MicroHDMI port? All you need is a MicroHDMI to HDMI cable so you can output to your TV or monitor (assuming the monitor has HDMI).
Splashtop 2 has no noticeable difference to Splashtop HD
I use it, with a decent internet around 25 megabits from Comcast.
I have the worst graphics card internals can get and I can watch youtube and vlc videos fine on my tablet streaming from my pc.
No audio or video skips or unsync audio.
You need a high graphics card and internet for the gamepad to view fullscreen games.

It's a very good device, but you'll be best to get a 2A wall charger for it and a powered USB hub. The slightest bit of drain on it causes flickering and crackling which is very unpleasant.
Other than that it's awesome. I use DroidMote on my tablet to control it, but it needs to be rooted first (instructions on Rikomagic forum).
It's now my full-time media player for the TV, streaming across network shares and as a DLNA client. For the price it's unbeatable.

Anyone with experience using Droid DNA as a setup XBMC/Plex for a HDTV

looking for some tips. i was in the market for a roku or a chromecast (eventually would prob get a chromecast anyways, but i like having a nice UI hence XBMC) to put on my living room TV, but thought maybe i could use my phone running xbmc instead with an hdmi out cable.
anyone have any experience with this? any lag? issues? hiccups? thanks.
thought about getting an android stick like MK808 but figured the Droid DNA would be more powerful.
Have 3 rokus in the house and one machine running plex with a 2tb nas drive full of movies etc. Have you ever used plex? It's looks and acts just like netflix and the picture quality/transcoding is superb! Plex rocks!
Not a fan of the netflex/plex UI on the roku

Need help finding a good wireless mirroring dongle

I'm looking into buying a chromecast dongle but wanted to get some opinions. I mainly want to use the mirroring feature and don't want to have to connect a cord to do it. I've read a few reviews on some dongles and some on them they say that the wifi used to mirror to the tv also interferes with the data wifi. Any suggestions on what I should buy would be appreciated. Thanks!

Chromecast is relatively the cheapest and best way to go. Just do it... you'll be happy you did.
Also Amazon has it for 30$ and so does Bestbuy. Never found it any cheaper than this. $5.50 lower than most others.
And chromecast has the mirroring feature to? Didn't see it in the features list.

I thinks is called streaming not mirroring but from what I understand you can serve any file to and play it as long as the device can share over your network.
I use the Netgear PTV3000, which does wireless mirroring. I bought it last year. It's been basically stuffed in the closet most of the time except for when i was travelling. It had a lot of stuttering, and disconnects. Basically had to close all apps, and had to keep the phone close to the device to minimize the issues.
Getting ready for a new trip. So took it out a few days ago and saw there was a new firmware update for it. All I can say it's a night and day difference. Now it streams video perfectly clear to the TV with my Note 3, no more stuttering, and do not have to keep the phone right by PTV3000 anymore.
I have the Chromecast as well the only issue is it doesn't play flash videos, and few other formats. An if your going to use it while in a hotel you will need a portable router as well. With the PTV3000 anything you have on your screen will stream to the tv, without needing a router.
A neat feature with the PTV3000, and the Note 3 stock video app. Is I can minimize the app, browse the web, or do other things while the video still plays on the tv without interruption.

it was a couple of days ago, but I'm using another way, and want to inform you.
Im Using Tronsmart T1000. And I had also a PTV3000, but I'm not so lucky with this.
The Tronsmart works easy, connect my Android Tablett (Samsung Tab 2) as well as my Note 3 . And I can connect my Windows Laptop with this Dongle.
Mirroring and other things are running fine.
I've bought this from Everbuying.com ;
http://www.everbuying.com/product535239.html (was cheap and easy). But you can also check it by Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Tronsmart-T1000-Mirror2TV-Wireless-Compatible/dp/B00H2D3N0M
Because of the features from T1000 I recommend it in all ways. It makes a WLan Connection to the Home-Router, that you can redirect from Tronsmart direct to the internet. And all connected devices are running fine.
