Sound??? - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hey guys, I'm running the ICS leak, and the sound is really odd. When I listen to music (screaming mostly), I can barely HEAR the screaming! Is there a way to fix that?

Best music player

I'm not sure if there is already a thread for music players because you can't search with xda apppppp. Correct me if I am wrong. What do you guys think is the best music player/app?
I really liked the Samsung music player.
Stock one on the atrix sucks I think. It freezes from time to time and does some funky shewt
Edit: I am wrong. You can search......

Ditto. I needed an app that played wav files for work (voicemail forwards) and ended up with an awesome music player.

where did you d/l it from?

Has the leaked music app.
Winamp is (in my opinion) the best. It offers everything doubleTwist does plus wireless sync is free. The doubleTwist app on the PC side is sluggish and bloated whereas Winamp is quite speedy and lightweight comparatively speaking. doubleTwist does offer streaming to ps3/360 but you can do that already using DLNA so it doesn't really matter.
DoubleTwist FTW... The leaked music app is good looking but too laggy for my constant use

search for the Connected Music Player, its motorola but 10x better than stock, it does lyrics, internet radio, song tagging music videos and tunewikki community, i love it so much better than stock

Cubed.
I ended up having to root and freeze the default music player so it would stop trying to take over music duties via bluetooth controls. I had that problem with a few other players too, not just cubed, so if you are using it to stream music via bluetooth, something to think about doing.
Cubed.
So smooth and visually appealing.
WinAmp FTNW! (for the nostalgia win!)
Works pretty well too, and has wifi sync. I mostly just use the player in gtunes or pandora though.

+1 the equalizer in this player is amazing - I'm using the headphones setting and it sounds great.
I like DoubleTwist as well.. easy to sync music and movies
PowerAMP
If you haven't tried PowerAMP for a music player, you really haven't unleashed your Android's music abilities. Hands down the best music player you will ever use, and easily worth the $5 to get the pro version. Check it out!
???!!!
The only problem wit this one is that even if u remove the stock player it wont work with bluetooth streaming/controling...
..Maybe were missing some libraries or something a dev could help us please ;-)

ATRIX 2.3.4 rom music question

Is anyone running this rom? If so has it fixed the music skipping popping? Not just limit it but fully get rid of? With my current set up I got rid of most of it but I want it all gone. I use my phone for music alot since I travel close to 2hrs going to work and another 2 hrs going back home for 5 days a week. So even though I get about three songs to pop or skip (give or take a couple of tracks) it still annoys the heck out of me.
So im just wondering on if this fixed the issue.
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
Still skips. But not as bad on the stock app for me.
Sent from my DROID X2 using xda premium
Skips more for me.
Skips about once per song for me...
Not as bad as 2.3.3 but still skips pretty bad.
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
What kind of skipping? Music player or pandora? Because I use power amp and it never skips unless I use bluetooth.
Sent from my Droid X² Eclipse Rom + BNB Theme
For me everything skips. I went back to my 2.3.3 nandroid because I need quickoffice. I did pull out the ATRIX stock music player & phone portal apks & they work fine on x2 GB.
Sent from my DROID X2 using xda premium
I'm so glad that this is something we still can't fix..../
Skipped on gb and froyo for me, but not on atrix port.

I believe someone posted a fix in the Atrix Port Development thread. I'll see if I can find it...
The more I see people post this problem the more it seems like an issue processing the music file. A way to test is to download some low quality mp3 or wma and see if they play better. I don't use my phone to play music unless it is streaming, and I never have any skips, so its gotta be the way the codec (or whatever our phones use) processes the files right?

Yeah I saw that but the player in the Atrix port rom was different than the stock player It has built in radio stations and such as I remember. Oh well I may be flashing back over to it anyway considering v6 blurless has just enough bugs to drive be away. So far the most trouble free rom for me was the 1st eclipse (2.2?)

It is a strange problem....for me it pretty much went away with the gingerbread update. Others report that buying a high speed sd card helped. I think it has been the biggest dissapointment in the phone....I mean I had a computer that skipped music but that was in the year 1997!!!!
I noticed a few tiny hiccups when listening to music with the stock player. Just switched to a 3rd party app, no problems at all. My suggestion would be to take the .apk from the Droid X2 for the music player and move it to your phone, making a .bak of the previous and making the X2's your primary player, if you will.

[Q] music players

I'm getting a loud pop in between songs when using google play music with cm9 and miui thru headset with headset button manager. Also using DSP with the settings turned up pretty much. It doesnt fc or anything just makes u jump! It does skip occasionally too, dunno if thats just from movement tho when biking.
If anyone can suggest a fix or a good music player i can use even if its not free id try it. It has to work good with headset controller tho.
thanks!

Another vote here for PlayerPro. PAmp was eating battery too fast for me. If you get PlayerPro, make sure to get the free DSP Pack. It makes a big difference in sound quality...

stock music player app replacement?

hi, i was wondering what GOOD music player replacement apps you guys use? the stock one on the razr blows and UBERMUSIC seems to like to disconnect and completely stop working all the time on my razr. weird because it worked fine on my droid pro. i would like to use the CM9 music app but i think that only works on ICS and not GINGERBREAD. someone correct me if i am wrong. so just wondering what do you guys use or recommend for a replacement if you guys use it at all. thanks.
edit: nevermind found that my task manager has been killing the ubermusic app automatically. whoops
PowerAmp is good, I would definitely recommend it. I've been using Google's Play Music lately though, because it has good integration with my equalizer app.
+1 on PowerAmp. I've tried a lot of them and it seems to have most of the best features of most. For me anyway.

Most will call me crazy but I prefer Cloudskipper over Poweramp.
Poweramp is definitely the more feature-rich of the two but after a lot of time fooling with the EQ, I just couldn't get the sound to output like I liked it. The "soft" EQ preset came closest but the volume level tended to be muted when connected to my vehicle Aux Input. Even tried pairing it with Volume Plus . . . another good app to have installed.
Cloudskipper works really well for me - good sound balance and volume levels and it's free. I use Widget Locker on my LG Revo but CS also comes with a decent lock screen.
winamp..
Its awesome.. if you have winamp on your computer, it can easily throw your itunes music on it and you can drag and drop music directly to your phone via cable or wireless... ive tried the others and they all are meh i find winamp the best.
+1 on poweramp, man you can play folders, it has swipe actions and its smooth ftw!!! its so good that i bought it to support the dev for making a trully great app
Currently using the new Poweramp Beta and its a fair bit of improvement UI wise from the current version in market. JetAudio was recently released too however they removed BBE/VIVA from the initial trial so I think I'll be holding off my purchase on that till it gets implemented.
I use PowerAmp for music stored internally on my phone, and Play Music for all my Google music.

Double Twist
Double twist has loads of feature :
1, itune playlist import
2. Manage your music from your desktop , create playlist and synch with your PC
3. Wifi sync ( pro)
4. EQ ( pro )
The desktop software has a similar interface like itunes. For me this APP works bcoz it helps me synch my music on PC and Razr :good:

DFX Music Player

Hello to everyone.
I've been using DFX Sound enhancer on PC from long time ago and I love it. Soon I saw that they've released a player for Android phones and god it's it fine, the sound is perfect. But ofcourse, it has his bad side. Everytime I listen to music and I open a app or I recive a notification the music "stops" for a fraction of a secound. I use a XperiaJ, maybe the app isn't made for low specs phones. Somebody tried it? It feels the same?
Here's the app.

Doesn't lag works fine(xperia sp).
It's very light. Good android 2.3 music player alternative.
Give "viper4android" a try, you'd like it.
