Cannot delete PH98IMG - HTC Rezound

Ok, I got my refurb phone, unlocked and now I am trying to unstall amon ra. I put it on the root of my sd card, get into Hboot, the green writing scrolls up, and thats it. There is no option to update it.
I thought maybe I should try again, I can't delete the PH file from my sd card....there is no option. odd.
Do I out the .zip after PH98IMG? or leave it without .zip? Maybe thats my problem. But right now, I can't even get the file off the sd card to try again.
Any help would be great!
Thanks
EDIT.....Im an idiot! I was using a card adapter and the lock was on!
EDIT 2.....PH98IMG worked fine

Need to Boot into Recovery

So, I messed up on something and I need to boot into the HBoot Menu which I can do, the only problem is, I have a PG05IMG Radio on there, so I can't do anything with it. Is getting an adapter for my MicroSD to put in my PC and delete from there the only option?

Why not adb reboot recovery then mount the sdcard and delete it?
Another option. Use someone else phone to delete the file off the sdcard.

Or a card reader and delete it with your computer. That's the easiest way. I've been there myself. Lol

Ph98img?

I can not load into hboot, when I do, it reads the sd card and then asks me if I want to update. ph98img is on my sd card and if I am not mistaking that is whats causing the update? What do I do to be able to boot into hboot? Can I just change the name of that file, or do I even need that file? I am not running ics, have cwm recovery, and ziggys kernel running at 1.86.
Any info is greatly appreciated (I am not tech savvy at all)
Thanks

I ran into this as well a week or so ago. I pulled my sd card out and put it into my Incredible and deleted the ph98img file. I then put the sd back into my Rezound and then you can once again boot into hboot.

This.
Also, if you don't have another device to put the device in, you can just take the sdcard, put what you were gonna flash on internal storage, then flash that way. Once your phone is functional you can then put the sdcard in and delete the file.
Or... You could just "adb reboot recovery" and turn on mount SD Card.

Thanks for the answers. I just deleted it off my sd card, will it change how things are running or hurt something, I saved it to my desktop in case I fouled something up. It will now let me into hboot though.

You don't need it on the sdcard at all after it updates. It's fine to keep it off. It won't mess anything up.
EDIT: Make sure you hit the thanks button on the posts above you for helping!! I don't need the thanks for this little post, but it's good to show those guys that you appreciate the help!

[Q] Bootloop after Wipe ALL Data System Restore - HELP!

I was in the process of upgrading my Rezound from Scott's GB CleanRom to the ICS version, and accidentally downloaded the files to my internal card instead of the external sdcard. I didn't realize this before I rebooted into recovery selected "Wipe ALL data/factory reset." Because I'm dumb, I didn't do a Nandroid backup before doing this. Now when I try to reboot to get the files in the right place, I'm stuck in a boot loop.
I tried pushing the files from my computer to sd card via adb, but despite it appearing to work, the files never show up.
Is there anything I can do to get it to boot up once without doing a manual reinstall of everything through adb? Any other ideas? Would really appreciate the help, and sorry if this is answered elsewhere, I really did look around.
Use a card reader to put the files on from your PC. They should be in the right place then.

Oh well I was thinking maybe you could move the files around to the correct place through your computer.

This. Just use the computer as an intermediary to drag from internal sd to computer to regular sd or just mount your sd card and re download. No need for adb commands; drag and drop should work sufficiently

[Q] Can't flash SplashScreen - have tried errthing!

Hello Devs!
Wednesday i bought some new things - an Evo 3D included. I bought it used. It already was S-OFF with Hboot 1.49.1107 and the new ICS Firmware. ROM was the Virtuous Inquisition, i think. And there was already a SplashScreen on the Phone. Saturday i wanted to try a new ROM. Now I'm using Anryls ICS ROM 4.0.3 rooted (b30 Version). So the old SplashScreen doesnt fit in with the new ROM, i tried to flash a new Splashscreen. I downloaded one from this Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1502748, renamed the file to PG86IMG.zip and moved it to my SD Card Root Folder. Then I turnt the Phone off, started into the Bootloader and ... Nothing. My Bootloader scans everytime i start it the SD Card but can't find any files... Can someone help me or did anybody had the same Fail ?
Thanks for Help !

Don't make a folder called root on the sd card. When you see the sd, just put the file there.
Also could try renaming to PG86DIAG or whatever else it looks for when flashing in hboot.
Make sure you don't have it named PG86img.zip.zip or similiar, if its already zipped, just rename the file to PG86IMG
i put it on the SD card without a folder, i tried an empty SD Card ... everything
How to flash with Fastboot ? Can I brick my Phone with flashing the SplashScreen ?
If I would rename it to PG86DIAG, it would flash my SS into the right directory?
I tried everything with the filename, but my bootloader won't find anything on the SD
Should I try another SD Card ?
edit: ok i think its a problem with my SD Card. I'll try another one when I'm @home
I renamed the SS into PG86DIAG.zip and my bootloader finds nothing, I can do what I want

adb:
fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img
Check the splash file format, might be splash1.bmp or other format.
Some sd cards are picky sometimes.

Try renaming it to PG86DIAG with no .zip
I know it sounds silly but it will work.

no, didn't work ^^
I'll try it @home with another SD Card or later with the SD Card from a friend ^^
When i'm flashin with Fastboot, then i have to put out the files in the .zip and flash only the IMG ?

When you pull out the splash.IMG, put it in your adb folder, then flash, while in bootloader.
Make sure if you choose reboot to bootloader, you select the blue bootloader text using the power button in hboot. It should read fastboot USB
Other then that, I'm out of ideas.
simplest solution ever: Change the SD Cards. Tried it yesterday evening with a 2GB SanDisk and it worked .. Sticky SD Cards
Thank yall for help

Rezound wont let me get into fastboot mode

Check out the video.

It goes straight to HBOOT update. I have tried many times to boot into fastboot it will
L not let me. Frustrated. This phone give me so many problems.
Can't watch the video (set to private), but you probably have a PH98IMG.zip on the root of your external sd card that needs to be removed.

This. Either boot up the phone and delete the PH98IMG.zip off of your SD card using Astro or your file manager of choice or pop the SD card in your computer and delete it that way.

Thanks very much. Ill try this. I know that file is there. Will remove it and hope it works.
