Have seen this on my previous Xperia S a reboot solved the issue and everything is back looks like a bug

Its to do with the internal mem, if you install to the phone mem the apps wont vanish , if you install the the " SD " some apps vanish . When you restart the system the internal mem fires up last on boot up , hence the phone seams to already allocate its mem to phone.
I hope this is fixed asap , as it bugging me !!
As to what apps get deleted, it seams random . I have 87 apps now on my phone , and don't want to start putting them all in the phone mem!

I have this problem as well i thought it wasn't just me. Sometimes my xperia s crashes randomly when im in an app(wtf) then when i reset the phone an app might be gone. It seems everytime you restart the phone you might lose an app. So try and dont restart till they come out with a fix...

Never had this issue,Maybe a factory reset ot format the sd can solve this problem.

I have this issue constantly with eBay, PayPal, Quickoffice and insider. I now leave these apps on the phone memory. Bloody pain in the arse.

That would explain why I've not seen it then.. Having such a big memory I haven't bothered moving anything off to 'sd' yet.

This will not help.
More to do with the apps not liking the transition over to the internal storage.

So its not just me then hopefully a fix will come and I'll move them to the phone mem for now thanks for the help

Never seen this type of behaviour on my XS, however what I did have on my older Android phones was that after a reboot you can see the app icon, but on clicking it it says "App isn't installed". This is purely for "SD" apps and after a few seconds (depending on the speed of your phone) you should be able to open them, but never had them completely disappearing.

Guys i have problem my Xperia S auto deletes apps HELP!!

Hi guys, well like the title says. My xperia S is deleting apps sometimes. Cant understand why. Can someone please give me a solution for this?
Well my phone is last days freezing sometimes, so i have to restart phone with power button + volume up button. And this auto delete issue is occuring last days too i dunno if it has to do something with an app or something.
When the file is deleted i see in the menu as title codes or some strange letters. And the icon becomes this standard icon of xperia s from systems.
I got an screenshot please take a look; there are 2 apps deleted, i also cant figure out wich apps they were, i only know my NOVA 2 game was deleted yesterday in the same way

It happened to me too with apps moved on sd.
When you restart your phone they will pop up again. At least for me it worked.
When u restart your phone, try to wait a bit more time before to unlock it.
Thanka bro. Solved!!

Don't use the Phone during the mediascanning

Yeah, I got the same issue. F***** annoying. Restart my phone and apps is gone, only a black and white paper icon on them and their process name.
Was not during mediascanning.
That's because you use a version anterior at the system apk
EG:gmail for timescape hehe
The system is 2.3.5
If you install 2.3 over it for work with gmail plugin timescape
When restart the phone it automatically delete wrong version
Even with a game that you buy on your old phone and want to run it on the S
EG:need for speed shift,you transfer
.data on the S then install the apk
And nooo license invalid and after boot the .data is auto delete (sound,files,ect..140M
This phone have security like a bank
Don't forget this :-D
Ciao
the same for me - sometimes apps come back after reboot sometimes disappear... not nice Sony
yep same here, i got that problem too... often use titanium backup for restoring
I've lost Browser and Conversations twice for now. Got them back with Root Explorer.
I am having the same issue. Randomly, 2 apps will disappear from the app tray. its annoying as i have to go back to the market to install them back. has anybody found any solution?
Same problem for me. My solution is I moved all apps internal memory. Now I have no problem.
Omfg...I lost opera, NFS shift, implus pro!!!
I'm not rooted yet, so if I reinstall app I'll lose data!!!
Disgusting!
Why does this happen?

For need for speed,if you not backed up data that on sd somewhere,
I think it be erased in external/.data
In my case yes,
i not find solution for.
Only buy the game again for this phone!
And redownload it :-(
For apk disappear at boot
I go in app setting and clear data,
It give an error
But now,
no problem at every boot for me
Always here ;-)
As previously mentioned, it is definitely a bug related to the installation on the "sdcard partition" of the internal memory, one way to fix it is to move all yours apps to the "internal memory" from the application manager.
Also the apps usually come back after a reboot or if you unmount/remount the partition.

Problem - can't uninstall apps, 'sdcard' process draining battery sometimes

Hi,
I've got a weird problem with my Galaxy S3.
Recently I was running an old version of Android Revolution HD. Everything worked fine for months when suddenly my battery drained 30% in 2 hours and the phone got pretty hot.
I checked the CPU usage and noticed a process called 'sdcard' running all the time with a very high CPU usage, even though i have no external SD card installed (I guess it was accessing the internal memory).
I decided to wipe everything and install the new version of ARHD (I wanted to do it anyway very soon). At the moment I'm running Android Revolution HD 17.0.
Everything worked fine now for months, although sometimes I got the same 'sdcard' problem I was facing on the old version. After a reboot it was gone, however.
Today I wanted to uninstall an app on my S3, so I went into the settings, selected the app and chose to uninstall it. The uninstall process will start, but it does never finish. I had to kill the process. After this my phone is very slow and again - the sdcard process is having a high CPU usage that is fixed after a restart of the phone. That is a problem however, cause I can't uninstall apps anymore (reproducible).
Now I'm wondering what could cause this behaviour and how to fix it. Searching for "sdcard process android" or "sdcard battery drain" on Google doesn't give that much information so I'm wondering whether I'm the only one facing this kind of problem??
This is related to my problem, very similiar:
http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...essed-draining-battery-consuming-lot-cpu.html
However, no real solution...
Here another one but with Galaxy Nexus (no solution either):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722857
I'm getting a bit worried at the moment that this is some sign of an approching "Sudden death" as I read that it is caused by faulty internal storage. My S3 is the blue one with 16GB internal storage.
Is somebody else affected by this, maybe even knows a solution?
Thank you for your help!

Difficult to find the question from your rambling post .
Backup data and factory reset .

His problem is that he can't uninstall apps and the process called "sdcard" has high usage.
I also am unable to uninstall any apps on my SGS3. Same as op, it says uninstalling with the blue bar moving, but it never completes, never uninstalls.

Yes, that's true. That's the problem I'm facing. Wiping and installing a new rom fixes the problem for a few weeks and then it starts again.
Haven't installed one of the SD-safe kernels yet, but will do it tomorrow.

Removed sd card, it was really warm to the touch. So far now it hasn't had high battery usage. The only thing on the sd card was pictures so I don't know why it was doing this.
Now apps uninstall no problem. Anyone have an idea why this happened?

I just recently started having the exact same issues with my GS3. I haven't found any good suggestions for a fix other than a wipe/restore. Does any one have a suggestion?

Hi!
Thanks for your answer as well!
Yes a dialog appears with the options "manage apps and cancel". But the strange thing is that memory wise there's no problem and even more strange...it doesn't refer to that I want to install it but rather that I can't uninstall it even though it's not installed???
I will post a screen shot later this weekend, I hope that u guys still will look at my post and maybe can give me some feedback then!
/zwooosh
PS. I hope to not have to factory reset the phone...It wound suck for only the problem with skype! If I do a reset it will erase all data (including all apps) right? I hope to avoid that too.
I forgot to say that I can install all other kinds of apps from the store...hmm!?
Yeah, don't factory reset it just for skype. See if any skype leftovers are found in you device, check folders and whatnot.
Waiting for that screen shot tho.

LG G2 Min getting slow and RAM issues

Hi. I recently posted on this forum coz I always only had 120 free MBs and my smartlhome started to go pretty slow without any reason. When I was typing on whatsapp it suddenly closed, I couldn't send any instant camera pictures because camera suddenly closes too, etc...
So I decided to root my phone and uncheck the 2 options of MLT Test (Enable option and USB depurate option) and seems like I get more free mbs but now the RAM it started to get short again, Im still gettin 150mbs again and thats annoying....
There is any solution ti fix this? Im using Clean Master too.
Greetings.
Ps. I got an app of my Phone Company and I dobt know how to unibstall it, it is desactivated but I couldnt find thr way to erase it, I've tried many explorers but didn't show up.

Disable mlt is always a good way of gaining a little more ram, also the longer you have your phone running, the more it'll start lagging. So restart it for at least every time you charge it again. Also a bit more than that. Clearing caches isn't always the right solution, due to the fact that your phone has to load everything again, and it is sometimes quicker if you already have the apps cache there as the app will start quicker. If you have a lot of your apps running in the background, messenger, Facebook etc which are quite heavy when it comes to taking up ram, either delete them, or find apps which automatically close certain apps you choose yourself, and remove them from starting on boot.

I'm gettin 43º (thats what Clean Master says) when I'm using whatsapp but CM saysa that's ok...
Is that really OK or should I worry?

Completely forgot to mention, if you go into developer settings, then there should be a ProcessStatics or something, it's also called geeky stats, in there it tells how the memory status is, which is the thing managing ram and so on, you can click on every app and see how much it uses and so on, its quite handy. And I'm not sure about the temperature, it doesn't sound alarming so it should be fine
