Hey,
So I noticed that I get these "smudges" on my screen all the time. I am not sure how to describe it, but they look like smudges that make the screen go blurry but when you wipe it off with a cloth the scree is normal again.
This never happened before and it just started now and it keeps happening whenever I type on the screen or something. It is very annoying as I always have to keep cleaning my screen for the blurriness to go away.
If anyone know what I am talking about, is there a way to fix this?
Thanks.
Wash your hands before touching the screen should do it. ;-)

Anyone else had this?
Seem the screen is comming loose in one corner. Can push it down again, but it comes back up after a minute or so.
That's weird... Have you dropped it or something?
I'd try to get it replaced asap
That happened to my galaxy sL (without dropping it).. Send it to a service center and it will get replaced without a cost (considering you have warranty)

I have the same problem, in the lower left corner.
But my SGS2 dropped a few times and there are some scratches... I'm not sure about the guarantee... :S
Same here. Back button corner. Also the light can be seen inbetween the metal rim and the button in the dark.

Think my top left corner is starting to get loose aswell, can press it slightly down sometimes.
Can feel and hear it moving.
Guess ill go get it repaired before warranty runs out
My friend had the same problem.
His SP repaired the device
Happy days
nope.mine drop quite a few times before, but still working fine.
Ive researched abit to try find the cause of it, im not sure but in my case it seems to be because of cpu heat, as my loose corner is where the phone gets really hot during games and some applications.
And i think the screen lens is glued to the amoled screen, in dissasembloy videos i see ppl heatup the edges around the screen to *melt* the glue so they can remove the screen glass.
Anyway contacted those i bought it from and waiting for service, as i want it fixed.
Anyone have any issues with the screen staying on while talking? I've noticed it kinda acts a little strange. Sometimes it stays on the whole call unless I hit the power button. Sometimes it stays on while in speaker and shuts off after I leave speaker. It been kinda random.

same problem here. i've just gotten used to turning it off with the power button
i was having the same issues and someone asked me if i had a screen protector, well , i did and decided to cut the corner where the sensor is and no more issues, if you got a protector you might be having it cus of it.
BTW, thanks donatom3, since you were the person who asked me if i had a protector and only after that i decided to cut a corner of it and solved my issue ..
i have a zagg hd from bestbuy...
Hey guys, I recenty activated my backup 3D because my primary somehow got a deep scratch in the screen (so much for gorilla glass...) the phone is brand new and had hboot 1.5 and got it downgraded to 1.4. Well on the stock I noticed a brighter portion of the screen and it looks almost like a bubble, the middle of the screen looks great but when using a app with a dark background there is a bright ring around the whole edge of the screen (maybe .25 inches around the whole screen) and I am not sure what to make of it. Has anyone else had this kind of problem?
I had this problem on my evo 4g, although it doesn't pose any sort of issue with the phone, its a stress mark. They occasionally happen in your pocket where something has pushed down on the screen.
Other than it being an eye sore, there's nothing wrong with the screen.
(Sprint store informed me in my situation that since my screen was too perfect they would only replace it if I was OK with having a sub-par used screen with scratches.
No Fox you can reemplace screen to Fox however actually uf it os too annoying
Hit the thanks Button if i Helped

Not sure how that's possible because it is a new phone and has never been activated. Kind of sucks because I am very OCD with my electronics and that scratch in my other screen came from no where and it really pisses me off... Guess I just have to live with it or go back to the scratched screen.
I thought this phone had Gorilla Glass? I never had a screen protector on my OG Evo and that thing went through hell without a single scratch...
I thought the same thing about my evo 4g, apparently it just happens. My 4g was only a week old when it happened.
I'm so OCD about my phones they have a dedicated pocket that nothing else goes in to, I wont activate my phone without a screen protector, and I wont go more than a week without an otterbox case lol. Stress marks were a mystery to me as well
I recently got into gaming and had a little concern. I was wondering if there is an possibility of damaging the screen by playing games for prolong periods of time. Not the actual glass but bleeding effects or something similar. I notice that I sometimes get into the game and realize that I am pressing pretty hard on the screen.
To give you an example... I got into order and chaos and in that game you use the on screen directional to navigate. Last night I was playing for several hours and had my thumb pressed on the directional pretty much the entire time. After I got done playing I was worried about long term effects such as screen bleeding from pressing on the phone to hard.
Not sure if this is even possible with these types of screens but would feel a lot better is someone can confirm. Not worried about pressing so hard to break the glass but things like screen bleeding worries me.
Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about pushing hard on the screen and having that ripple effect?
Moderate pressure is OK, but I've never pushed down that hard on my screen. Most likely pushing down as hard as you are describing can either crack the screen or cause dead pixels.
If you are talking about playing games for an extended period of time, this could potentially cause burn-in.
I guess that is my concern... Burn in and dead pixels... Anyone have this happen? I'm not pushing to the point of potential cracking but harder than typical tapping on a touch screen. I guess I am thinking of tvs and monitors. If you press on the screens, you will get distortion and if done to hard or enough times, can effect the screen. Grated they aren't meant to be touched but I'm still worried about that type of issue. I personally have never heard of this happening on a phone but it doesn't mean it hasn't happened to others.
The main reason I was worried is because my wife's used razr had some dark spots on the screen and not sure how they got there. Not sure if this could have been caused by the previous owner pressing to hard on the screen.

Well pushing on the screen won't cause burn in. Leaving a static image for extended periods of time will. Even then these screens seem to take abuse pretty well. As for pushing on the screen how the heck are you pushing that hard? Yes you could damage it if you see the screen distorting from pressing on it. Was her razr an AMOLED screen? If so amoled screens are know for black splotches on the screen. So if you made the screen on showing black you can see them. My GSIII had two huge spots and my note II has one insanely tiny spot that is hardly noticeable. Well known issue.

Hey folks,
I'm looking to buy a used phone on ebay. The description says that the screen has a slight scratch on it that can't be seen when the phone is turned on...only when it's off. Having never had a scratch on any of my phone's screens, I can't easily verify that claim. Does this have the ring of truth to it?
If you've had a slight scratch on your screen, does it really only appear when the phone is off? What about when the screen is dim? Or what about at different angles, etc? Does it pretty much always just disappear?
Thanks

I have super tiny (1/100 of a millimeter in width) ones that are only visible when the light (only direct sunlight) hits it just right, other than that I forget that they are even there
Probably from being placed in a pocket
Awesome. Thanks guys.

I even have a dent on the screen and it's barely visible when the LCD's on, so a hairy scratch that won't be noticed while the screen is on sounds like true
I had a small crack in my screen and I never noticed it while using the phone unless you really look for it, small scratch you will be fine won't even notice it
