i mistakenly put the wrong phone models rom on my samsung galaxy skyrocket s 2 sgh-i727 now its "hard bricked" nothing turns on no buttons respond.. its not turning on at all.... ive found a video on Jtag'ing the motherboard to flash the origional rom again.. with a riff jtag box.. does anyone know a person that might be able to do it for me for like $50 or more... ? in LA or NEAR WOODLAND HILLS??

So I am getting the Samsung Galaxy S II from Bell tomorrow. I would like to know what i should check for right out of the box.
Example would be , I heard about some yellow or blue tint on the screen, if someone can tell specifically how to check if I have that problem and where it is.
Any other things i need to check before putting my sim card in the phone. Basically like a check list to make sure its not one of those bad apples. Thank you soo much.
I would like to know asap since I am going to buy it tomorrow.

So am looking at getting a USB Jig for my Galaxy S2, i've seen some on ebay, but i also found a site called usbjig.com anyone got any experience with that site? Reason for asking is because i don't want to end up ordering the wrong thing, so hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction.

I got one off ebay for less than £2, delivered. If you have any doubts then the best thing is to just msg the seller. At least that way if it's not suitable then you can claim the money back.

I use the same jig I used with the vibrant... as a matter of fact, IV used it with every Samsung phone IV had. Its the same.

As the latest release from Samsung have some measurements put in place in the bootloader to stop the usb jig from working, can ofc update without the new bootloader or just downgrade, but am wondering, will we see new types of usb jigs now? Maybe i should wait a bit before getting one? Heard some talk about usb jig cables here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17777492&postcount=226 is that the way to go? Or?

the new roms have a new bootloader that prevents the jig from working and so far there seems to be no way to make it work with the new bootloader.
solution: go to intratech's official Rom thread in the development section and search for the old bootloader, flash it with odin like a kernel (pda section), then reset your phone with the jig.

Hi guys i have SGS II on ICS with locked bootloader and not rooted
my problem started with getting message your memory is full
inspite of having so much space but i deleted some apps to free up some space
later on it showed up this error for messages "nos space to store messages"
yesterday i couldnot open it at all :S
not responding to any key combination
canot enter download mode
canot access recovery mode
my device is not detected by pc nor by samsung Kies
i feel like having a rock in my hands :S

OK. This is the first & last post I'm going to make to this thread, so I'm going to make it really simple.
1) Your phone is unresponsive. What exactly do you want anyone here to say ? It is highly likely (99.9999999%) that you're making a trip to a service centre (or a local mobile repair shop at the very least).
2) Get a USB jig. Do a Google search, these are easily available on eBay for a few dollars. There is also a thread in General section where people have listed their locations & have offered to lend people their jigs. There might be someone near you that you can borrow one from.
3) A member called King Rat has a 'hotboot' method that tries to jumpstart the phone by using the charger without the battery. Search through his posts to find this method, or do a Google or XDA search.
P.S - The I9100 does not have a 'locked bootloader'.

You say you're running ICS......The chances are that your carrier either shipped it with, or updated it to 4.0.4.
With respect, you've been an XDA member for just over a year......did it not occur to you to read up about ICS 4.0.4 Brick Bug?.......even once?
From the symptoms you mention, and the fact that you did some (limited) wiping, I would hazard a guess that this is the situation you are now facing. .....
Mainboard replacement is looking like the only option if the above suggestions don't work........
