Just posting to get opinions on after market batteries. I have owned the Atrix 4G since the day it came out with no complaints whatsoever. The battery life seems to be comparable to my old iPhone 3g (which i hated) but because the Atrix is so much better I obviously have it opened and am using it a lot more.
-Is it worth it to buy the optional extended batteries?
-Are they bigger that OEM batteries?
-How much longer is the battery life?
-If so, I assume my current Otter Box would not fit?
Thank you for the help.

The largest is a Seidio (which I dont think is out) it's only a 2200 MAH, compared to our 1900 (ish) MAH. I got a new replacement from moto because my battery life wasn't lasting as long as it was when i first bought it. Turned out I actually had the wrong battery mode on and it was using up too much power.
I have the 3600 mah, and while its big and you can't use a phone, it makes it easier to hold the phone imo, and lasts all day easily.

Jeez that thing would last me like 2 days
Userid moretalktime on eBay sells custom TPU cases the atrix with the extended battery installed.

My review with heavy usage says you'll last forever. Now I squeeze a day and a half with stock battery. That battery pushes me several.

do you have a prob where the % do not reflect the actual battery usage? my battery can show 30% but after a reboot it will show 100%. I can do a reboot twice before it shows the actual %
I can confirm CEOGUY's report on the Seidio3200. It is indeed a beast.
I too experienced the battery calibration problem. I am now using the latest Battery Monitor Widget. Something was fixed in a recent update that allows the calibration to work correctly.

Does the battery req a special charger? Or just charging direct from the phone will be sufficient
No special charger, I use the OEM one.

Does anybody know of a good, but free, battery management app that has either no ads or few ads? Preferably it also shows the current battery level in the notification bar. Thanks!

I really like 2x battery
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I ended up going with battery indicator cuz I realized I just needed an app that displayed percentage.

The best application in this situation (in my opinion), would be the Juice Defender.
automateit pro & juice defender beta combined, best combo ever
Hello everyone
I have been using an x10i since the past 2 yrs
I started using custom roms when Sony released the gb update cuz it was laggy
My problem is that now no matter which Rom I choose
A full charge hardly lasts an hour
Consider me a heavy user
& I have used every way that is out there to calibrate my battery
From using calibration apps to wiping stats using recoveries & overcharging battery
Is there any solution to my problems??

It is very simple, you know you are heavy user, you know you have used your battery for 2 years.
Do you know that that means your battery's life cycle has come to an end?
Go buy a new battery.

Original would be better and also you can try bigger battery as you are a heavy user. Check Accessories section of X10 but it will increase your phone size and bulk
try this solution FIRST
goto cyanogen mod settings in ther performance->cpu settings->governor->select interactive....
i am using fxp125 and am a medium user my battery lasts on full charge for 2days 12hours
hit thanks if i helped
Hello,
I've bought a new battery to my Atrix 4G and then I discovered it was a fake one.
Android says it is a invalid battery and it won't charge.
A question mark appears at the battery stat.
Is there a way to "fool" the system and use it like a OEM battery?
Thanks
Anyone?
There's a good chance that it is of poor(unsafe) quality. The phone is trying to help you. Don't trust that battery.

You can start by putting a voltmeter across the terminals, see if there's any battery there at all.. if you want to risk your phone, have you tried charging it with the phone off?
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2
I wouldnt chance it since you can buy them fairly cheap.
Im curious what type of battery did you buy, the best advice could be not to use it otherwise it will risk the phone's life
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
I'll use the advices and discard the battery.
Thanks a lot to all of you!
Hi guys, I'm planning to replace my battery with double power (2000 mAh) Is this safe or no?
Sent from my GT-S5830i using Tapatalk 2
As long as it has the same voltage I think there should be no problem
You should use suitable charge device for your own security.
Does anyone ever do this?

I think that would be no problem for low end devices !
