Because you have different apps and configuration in both phones, hence the huge difference in battery performance
Swyped from my Galaxy SII
Brightness and processes .. Are simply different , we all have ICS but someone says that his battery lasts a week ( liar) and some other says it lasts roughly a day( i totally believe him ) , others say it lasts 3 days ( thats's ok ) , it's all about different settings and ongoing processes on each phone
See settings>> battery

I did the same settings in both even my phones battery was good a time ago but now really just changing the fonts to the default settings increases the battery life

Why are you still disturbing yourself.
Do both phones have the same number of Apps installed? NO
Do both phones have the same number of Apps running in background? NO
Do both phones have the same configuration for all the apps? NO
then why do you think both phones will have the same battery life?
If you have excessive battery drain on your phone, then let's know about it, Rom your phone and Rom details, Including necessary battery info screenshots, then I and other guys here will surely help you find solution to your problem.
One more thing. Did you buy both of them at the same time? If not, it could be that one has a later revision of hardware than the other one.
Otherwise, obvious reasons are posted above.

You don't seem to have a big issue.
-You played game,
-you have Facebook app, a known battery hog
-Your messenger is running 24/7
-Your Wi-Fi is always connected.
Reason why your battery is dropping faster:
- Facebook and similar apps will want to stay connected, intermittently, therefore your phone will not be going into deep sleep, when the screen is off etc
Try these:
1. Visit this thread, read through and follow the proffered solutions there: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1869930
I just helped the guy solve a similar but much worse problem.
If you have any questions, post them here.

You can identify if there's an issue with the battery or if it's an issue with the software/configuration with this test.
Take Phone A and Battery A and test the battery life. Do the same on Phone B and Battery B. Now switch the batteries and try again. Based on the results you can see which battery is faulty or which phone's software is causing poor battery life.
I think your battery could be on it's way out. My original Samsung battery barely holds a charge now - lasts for a few hours. My Anker 1750mah batteries (slight bump from stock) last all day.
Hy guys,
I bought s2 a week ago, and sometimes it switch off.
This happen with stock ROM and 2 custom ROM too.
What can i do?
Inviato dal mio GT-I9100 con Tapatalk 2
buy an other battery if you found battery with 2000 mah its great
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239719
or try to calibtrate your battery with calibrate app from play store
Maybe kernel faulty ? Or hardware ? I don't think it's battery problem...
Merry christmas and Happy new year

In my case the phone get overheated when surfing net on 3g and listening music. Means if u do multy tasking for long times the phone get overheated and i think this is cause of cortex a5 qualcomm cpu. Its also normal and nothing to worry about it. And about battery backup, it will increase after a week for sure. When i bought my phone it was needed to charge thrice a day and now almost once or twice a day. You can also follow the advices given by jaspreet bro. It is very helpful.

I too faced those problems at the beginning. .but now a days battery gives a backup of one day and sometimes 1.5 days depending on uses. I do play hd games, surfs net and off course listen to music a lot. And heating problem also simultaneously has decresed. I noticed this gradual development after doing some official software updates which also installed some unwanted apps..may be these updates fixed some bugs.

So I found the solution for the problem
It was due to my usb port problem in my phone...once I used another phone charger to charge my phone. .. from then I was getting very slow charging nd no usb detection
.. then i slightly inserted a metal strip and slightly forced the usb jack upward.... and in seconds the problem is solved.......
Now I get my phone fully charged in just 2 hours.
I found this solution on xda for note2.
Plz support <press thanks>

Are you using any other performance related tweak? E.g. overclocking or overvolting?
If then then stop using that.
May be not related but my old Nokia had such problem. I switched off, removed battery for 1 hour, let it cool and it was automatically fixed.
But if problem persists after changing battery, better contact service center. Overheating is really bad for these devices and can seriously damage other components.

No just custom rom and governor was default only. I flashed stock rom but still overheating, i charged my phone while in stock rom bu for over 3 hours, it only reached 50%.
It was already solved when i do not used my phone for a week with battery pull out. It returned when i charged my phone and put it on top of computer CPU, when i pick my phone it was overheating. I thought it was the cpu only but after an hour even in deep sleep it was overheating and drain battery past.
