A stock Telus and Bell Modems that can be flashed through CWM. I have tested these on a telus note with telus stock rom. If you flash these modems on a ics rom, in setting it will say unknown baseband, be warned. Thanks to Braway for all his help, and to Jckpsa for providing radio images. Also thanks to MrJordan for the bell modem tar.http://www.mediafire.com/?xlb18zoj890ayyl Flash at your own risk !!! http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?badsv49krc8ax45 http://www.mediafire.com/?ntdxvuwjsmd6da3 Just added the new UCLE2- ics modem

This is a telus stock recovery zip to flash through CWM. I can conform it works.I did not create this work. All thanks goes to Jckpsa and Braway.
Thanks a lot. is this the unrooted kernel? does this include the rom?
No this is stock recovery only. here is a link to the stock telus kernel and a stock telus rom with a rooted. You can find them in the dev part of the forum. Sorry, I can not get the links to work.
Flashing the Stock ROM rooted does not trip your flash counter. The stock kernel is a Odin flash only. Will try tonight to get some help to make the kernel a zip that we can flash through CAN.

Here is a Telus kernel to be flash through cwm. Simply put the zip file into root of your phone, boot into cwm, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, and flash telus kernel zip. Thanks to Braway for is guide and instructions. I have tested this telus kernel several times, I probily would only flash on a telus stock rom. This kernel has the Telus boot image. You flash the Bell kernel, Rogers, the sames as the telus one.
Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for
CWM Flashable Rogers and Bell Stock Kernels?
First: Thanks to pterry30 for providing a stock CWM flashable Telus kernel
Second: If anyone could do the same for the stock Rogers and Bell kernels, it would be greatly appreciated! (I know Da_G provided odin pda tars, but I find CWM flashable easier to work with)

That Rogers kernel is a backup that is restored through CWM, it's not a flashable zip file. I followed the steps in that post for matching the md5's but I still got an error when I tried to use that kernel. That's why I requested a CWM flashable version. I don't have the dev skills to make a flash able zip file so I was hoping one of the development magicians could post one .
I have a rogers kernel, i will have to unzip it and take a look at it to see if i can make it a cwm zip

Hi,
I currently have a Telus Galaxy Note i717. I have my phone rooted and was using Objection ICs Rom before the official ICS release became available on July 13th. I have been trying to install the stock Telus ICS update ota and I keep getting a message saying the update is not available even though I know it is. I have looked all over the internet for a solution and nothing seems to be allowing me to update my phone with the official telus update. I have unrooted my phone, reset flash counter, whiped partition, cache, etc using CWM, and I am still unable to download and install the Telus ICS update. Any help you can give me would be great as I would really like to install the Telus ICS rom.
I'm having the same issue but I think it's because I still have cwm. Once you flash the stock telus recovery you should be good to go. I'm flashing that once I get home.

Here's a link to stock telus recovery. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24528886 to Odin. For flash counter shouldn't matter for the upgrade.

I will try installing this. I saw on the Samsung website the baseband version had to be I717UCLF1. But I believe by installing the OBjection rom the baseband version was changed to I717UCLF6 and in order to get the Telus ICS ofiical update the baseband version has to be I717UCLF1 in order for the update to download. IS this correct? and will downloaded the previoussly mentioned file fix this issue?

Before you do all that flashing? Did you do a nandroid of stock? If you did that you can restore your nandroid backup and flash the stock recovery.

It ended up being a radio band version issue. I found a link for telus-radio.zip on another xda thread. I installed it using cwm andit fixed the issue. My phone was recognized by kies and it updated my phone to ics 4.0.4.

Hi I'm running CM10 nightlies and was wondering if you can flash ANY modem. My carrier is telus and I want a telus modem. Can anyone tell me if I can?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Any modem made for the galaxy so phones. Many people mistakenly call them Go modem or ICS modem. Its really the chips on the main board, not the operating system version.
So my modem when I flashed jb stayed the same?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Yes, unless the developer said he included a modem in the rom package (read the first post of that rom), you have what you had before. And you can flash any modem you want.
I had an international s3 with international rom. I rooted custom rom but then I flashed back to stock, but I used a VodafoneNZ 4.1.2 stock rom not the international unbranded UK. Ever since then I've been having battery issues so I am just wondering whether there is a difference between International Unbranded 4.1.2 and VodafoneNZ 4.1.2 apart from what I heard that I would be receiving updates according UK if I had international?
If there is a difference and the NZ rom is draining my battery, how do I flash to international 4.1.2 rom if Im already on a stock NZ 4.1.2 rom? I tried finding guides but all are for custom rom to stock rom
Maybe one of the apps drains your battery.
Just follow the guides to flash a rom...

Same same for every stock rom, factory rest/wipe, flash via odin (and 're root) or mobile odin (to keep root).

Should be my last question. hmm ok, let me get this straight. So I put my phone into Android Recovery mode (since its stock theres no CWM) and wipe data, wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache? Then use odin to flash a stock rom?
If what I said was correct, will it trigger my flash counter?
Here you go...and as long as you got root, flash counter can be reset, not sure though if it will be triggered via Odin at all.
