Does anyone know if Beats headphones or earphones work with our phone? I know the earphone jack isn't the norm or something?

Jesus F Christ. Use the search function. Massive thread on this IN THE RIGHT PLACE already.
How did I know someone with a fist up their ass would respond like this. It's a simple question that someone will be able to easily answer if they have the headphones.
I searched the 'Sony Xperia S' Forum for "Dre" and 'Beats' and couldn't see a thread named anything like do beats work with our phone. I've found stuff about having the beats software put on the phone though.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1528792 - Headphones thread. Accessories forum man.
And a search for beats:

Was that so hard?
I'm using Beats Studio for this phone, works excellent!

Well this is a rather strange thing on my little baby eris, i use my eris as a mp3 player instead of a crap rca thing and ipods. Im strongly against apple products. But the issue is head phones in the 3.5mm jack seems to give me only the right ear of sound. I think its a hardware thing but i cant be sure.
Im running the ErisLightingBolt and i really want to know if others had this problem. I dont know if it should be put on the dev thread but i want to see if others have this issue and it is in fact a hardware thing.
if it is i would like a link to a way to fix this issue?
thanks again to the support from all who are on this magical website

Hey Miami_Son,
Yeah i did find your tread after posting mine, and just commented on it, do u have a how to or anything?
Thanks
P.S feels good im not the only crazy on the "needs" the gel buds
Why do that? just get the wired remote and use regular headphones?
I have the original HTC remote and it's awesome, has all the controls you need on it.
What wired remote? Link?

Eh?
Oh well, let me google that for you .
I also got a simple extUSB to 3.5mm converter for $1.5.
Looks good. Wonder why I never heard of it before. In searches for HTC accessories I've never seen it.

IDK, I got'em with my Raphael, and kept them
But the cheapest route is to get some extUSB->3.5mm dongles off ebay.

That's why I made up the set I posted earlier. I hate using a dongle. I found the HTC thingie on eBay, but none cheaper than $25 + shipping. I'll stick with my homemade headset.

Eh? You have a variety of extUSB->3.5mm dongles/cables.
Just get one that suits you.

I guess you don't understand. I DON'T like the dongles. That's why I made my own set of USB earphones with gel buds. Can't make it any clearer than that.

do that remote work with the TP2? i heard a lot of bad things about it. One that it only work with WMP(window media player). Enough said :|

^^^ thats a knock off of the HTC one, i like the concept but would just want one with just the remote not the mic... might interfere with my bose headphone that has a mic build in
Does anyone know if our Bluetooth 3.0 supports the Apt-X codec? I am trying to track it down, and can't seem to find anything stating wether it does or doesn't. The closes thing I can find is that the new HS3000 Bluetooth Headset which was brought out around the time of the GSII and marketed as one of the "Accessories" for the GSII supports Apt-x. If it doesn't support Apt-X how hard would it be to add it?
I should clarify Apt-X is an audio codec that allows Bluetooth Audio to sound much higher quality, CD-Audio Quality.
Up. Really interested to hear anything about this compatibility or possible port too.
Atp-x seems great on paper, would like to check this out IRL now !
Up.
Also extremely interesting in knowing this ..
Apple made MacOS compatible so that it works with every laptop...
So it sure is software =)
Up ! Just got myself an apt-x receiver, so if anyone has any advice to use it without buying a +50$ usb key, please let me know !
(well I won't switch to HTC either, before you ask)

You mean which receiver ? If so, the samsung one (HS3000).
Perfect for my use (connected to the amp)
Is there a way to tell if SGS2 running stock ICS 4.0.3 is playing bluetooth using the APT-X codec? Is it shown somewhere under Settings?
Unless you already ported the apt-x codec to your device, it's not, since it's not compatible.
For information Apt-X is natively supported on the Samsung Galaxy S III
Unfortunately, the Galaxy SII doesnt support Apt-x:

If the Galaxy SIII can have USB audio, how the hell do I get it for the note?
seriously, I'd pay $200+ to get this crap to work..
You made this same post in the accessories section. I'm sorry if you are displeased that the note lacks this piece of coding so feel free to write it yourself. Until that happens please MOD EDIT

Did you try Flapjaxxx stock rom build 5? It has the dock setup, which should include usb audio.

That doesn't really help at all when the dock uses the garbage DAC inside the phone. I want to hook up something like a Fiio E7 to my phone, and have a DAC setup in my car and use my phone as a head unit by simply docking it in on a shelf. The only other alternative is spending $500 on the Pioneer Appradio 2 which uses MHL and I'm not even sure if that will work right on my phone. Bluetooth audio pretty much sucks, so I'm looking for a good solution to have my note act as the head unit of my car. I really wouldn't mind deleting my head unit entirely, this is why I want lossless audio from my phone, because it will enable me to use my phone for all my audio media needs more or less.
Ok. Who knew?
MOD EDIT
AND USER THAT THANK THIS POST, NEED TO RETHINK WHAT THEY GIVE A THANK FOR.
Don't you mean an E17? Fiios under that are crap

I wouldn't consider someone who uses a phone as a source of audio an audiophile.
