Hi,
Both me and my girlfriend have the sk17i. We have noticed that on most of the photos we take the photos are quite green looking. are there any settings to get rid of this or camera drivers we can update?
Help appreciated,
Thanks
There might still be a small plastic cover on your camera lens. Did you checked?

we took those off when we get the phone. there is no tint on videos
Try different camera app to test

camera 360 appears to work well. Anyone know why the stock camera adds a green tint to everything? its a bit disappointing as I like all the options on stock..
thanks melander!
are you using stock rom and kernel?.
what fw version do you have?.
if stock, try going to applications then clear data on camera app, test.
try also doing factory reset in privacy setting.
an update may be available, try to do so...
if using custom rom, then try reinstalling it,
clear data, partition, dalvik, reflash rom...

seem to be getting a purple tint around the edges of pictures when i use flash for my camera.
anyone else getting this or know of any solution?
Yes
1 take picture as close you can get.
2 take picture without flash.
3 fix the color later with image editing software, its easy just slide the blue color to the lower, or tint towards yellow, it will be fixed.
Or just install another camera app from GPlay, like lgcamera. Hope it helps.

It won't help, with this camera if you take picture with flash from distance you get blue purple hue.
same problem with me.
try other cusrom, i suggest based from stock rom like miui.
So I installed the last Slim ICS on my S2, and all its working okay but the camera flash.
The option to enable it, its greyed out (white balance is also greyed out) but it works with other camera apps or on video recording mode.
Also the option to add location, appears twice.
It`s rom related problem, try finding answer in related thread created by rom developer. It would be best solution, in my opinion.

Hi,
I used a google app to change the dpi. i chooses 180 but it froze, so what i did was a recovery and restore from backup.
but since then i have a bad screen quality. I took a screenshot so you can see.it´s looks like a 8bit trying to display a 16 bit. You can clearly see this "degrade" on the icons top.
The screen does look ok, because i can display pictures or any type of content and it looks good. The problem is with some TWiz menu.
take a look at the "keypad" square. You can clearly see the lines there. It happens only there and on some menus, but mostly there.
I tried reinstalling the ROM with Odin, doing a wipe cache and factory reset and same results.
any thoughts?

Hi,
I get a black stripe in every photo app. I attached a picture. It is photoshopped to show you how it looks, because a screenshot doesn´t show it.
I have a cleanly installed UK Stock LG8 ROM.
It doesnt happen in the 16:9 mode, just in the original 8mp mode.
Any ideas?
I used to have a similar problem with my HTC desire but it would also have a nice purple overlay in the camera app as well as the black bar
Unfortunately the only way it got fixed was to send it back to HTC but im pretty sure they only updated the software.
Regards
Jack

1- go here and perform the camera software update (need to be done with stock kernel)
2-if you use a custom kernel, check that he use the last samsung sources release and not outdated one
3- if none of the 2 first work: try a factory reset

Hi, just updated the camera firmware and the problem is still there.
no way i´d do a factory reset for that. Maybe when the jellybean update arrives and i still have the problem.
thx
hey I am running CM 10 with the latest nightly. I installed the 4.2 camera and most everything works. However when I go into the photosphere mode the individual pictures are misshapen, they are choppy, jump around and it is very hard/impossible to get the circle on the blue dot. Also when I get a complete picture taken and look in the gallery, I get a lot of white flashes if I'm not zoomed all the way out. I tried reinstating and did a factory reset, clearing the app's data and cache. I'm out of ideas, any suggestions? Thanks

I guess I was just expecting it to be more fluid. Hopefully an update someday will clear it up. Thanks
