Hi all. There is something with which I might have beats audio on my stock rom?
Thanks.
So your looking for your stock ROM to have beats? Are you rooted? It will have to be a custom ROM.

Yes I am rooted. I am searching just a patch to user beats audio

You will need a custom kernel that supports it. I know the latest Anthrax supports beats.

So if you add the Anthrax Kernel you will have Beats support, no what next needs to happen to configure or see it available.?

But I have a problem. I can't flash any kernel because recovery gives me error. I think is a RUU problem

Flash a custom rom that's has beats enabled.
#Root-Hack_Mod*Always\
Rooted and all. There are currently two parts you need to have "full beats"
1. Rom support
2. Kernal support
Otherwise its not beats...
Currently anthrax is only kernal with support.. on to the new issue...
What recovery? What ruu??

I have 4ext touch recovery Rc3 and Ruu I think is 1.20.401.8 or 10.59.9020.00U_10.15.9020.06_M
The only problem is that i want to use stock rom. Is there any rom that's as similar as possible? Expecially about battery life...
FYI one thread is enough

Meanrom2.92 is basically a beefed up stock Rom, with beats enabled on the Rom side... Then you need anthrax stock kernal with the beats drivers... That is going to be as close to stock as you can get with beats... Also has some serious battery life...
I use a 3500mah extended battery and I get a solid 10-12 hours of game play time... It will sit almost a week at idle..
Obviously the stock battery will be less

I am looking for a ROM that allows overclocking.. currently I just tried Suprarom as it's AOSP with HTC Sense so still very similar to what I am use to without a whole new learning curve. But I hate it when developers developing these ROMS don't unlock them completely Set CPU does not work.. I can not overclock so I need to know what would be the best ROM for me that allows overclocking but not too much of a new learning curve and 3D and that still works.

Overclocking does not require you to flash a different ROM. Just flash a overclockable kernel on your current ROM and you will be fine.
NOTE: Not all kernels work on every ROM.

I do not guarantee this will work on your current ROM or not.
If anything goes wrong like you are stuck on htc screen/broken wifi/4g etc reflash th kernel that came with your rom. Also if you are on hboot 1.50 you will need flash image GUI to change kernel or use fastboot method. I dont know whether these can be overclocked or not. Check their description. What is your current rom based on?
2.08.651.2/.3 or 2.17.651.5 ?vCheck whether those kernels are made for your current version.
Hope this helps.......

The only custom kernel for ics that currently (mostly) works is Anthrax. It is not hosted on XDA. Search Google for it and you should find it.
We're really waiting for HTC to release the source.

Just go to anthrax-kernels.us.
If posting this link is against the agreement with XDA and that certain dev, (I don't think it is since it don't say his name but who knows) I will completely understand if this post gets deleted.
Sent from my Anthrax infected 3D!
Thanks fellas!!

To expand on NIN's answer, the only ICS kernel that works 100% with the CDMA Sense ROMs (like MikVirgin) is the stock kernel. There are others (I guess other since there is only one) out there, but some things are still not working properly with it. When HTC releases the kernel source, then we will see some great kernels, but until then, stock is the way to go.
Aaah ok, well thanks for the info , ill be patiently waiting for the a new kernel soon hopefully
i have am s-on evo 3d gsm...I want a rom with very good battery life and 3d...i hear cool ics has good battery with 1.9 kernel...

You need to flash new firmware, and I believe you can't unless you are s-off

Hello, i had the same problem as u do. But cool ICS has saved me. I have installed Cool Ics V11 and have his kernel V1.7. Also I`m s-on, unlocked by htc dev. Just follow his instruction how to install the rom. When u finish with installing the rom u need "flash image GUI" app that u will use to flash the kernel. u can find the post about it but its not complicated to use. When u finish that u can use "System Tuner" or "System Tuner pro" to configure your system performance... I de-clock-ed my cpu a bit, set minimum freq to 192 mhz loaded the Gov. that says powersawer; all that u can finde whan u click on cpu icon... u can experiment and see what is the best for your usage....

Forgot to add: I use g-talk, whats-app, instagram, always on (facebook, g+, twitter and Voxer) battery life for me is 14-15h, when i dont use my phone that much battery life is around 2d+

Hi, I`m also s-on, unlocked by htc dev and have a bit old Firmware. Cool ics works for me. I flashed the v11 rom, got boot loops, tried to fix them by flashing boot.img via fastboot from v11 rom and it did not work so i tried to flash boot.img from v7 rom and it worked i`m telling you all this because it may happen to you just in case to be prepared if u decide to flash. when you install the rom then you need "flash image gui" to flash the kernel. It is easy to use. Cool rom has good battery life...

Hey there bulutbeyaz ... also kernel v1.9 is great

eh i paid for this, anyway worth it my phone is very stable and have last long battery now.
You can find flash gui free, newer roms require new firmware thats why you had boot loops on cool version11

Yeah i thought as much, but when you are s-on and there is no hope to get s-off ( tried many ways and only bricked my phone)... you try crazy things .. now v11 works with flash-ed boot.img form v7 and i don`t want to touch anything

I am using Cool-ICS since I find it the only most complete ROM without any major bugs. Its kernel v1.9 has just been released and I can vouch for it that the battery life has only become better. You don't need to be s-off to install this one. Just update your phone to the latest hboot and firmware, unlock it via HTCdev method (that's actually the easy method and which I used as well). Download the Cool-ICS ROM and its latest kernel separately. Do a nand backup in 4ext. Use super wipe (optional) to wipe everything. Flash the ROM first and after booting up first check the kernel version. Then go into recovery again and flash the latest kernel for the ROM.
Cheers.
I'm S-Off TWRP 2.2.2 If I Flash EvilZ's kernel on Viper4g 2.0 can I use Viper Control to go back to the stock kernel or do I need to nand back or something similar?
You're s off, just flash stock kernel

Ok, sorry to be noobish, but how would I flash the Viper kernel? I'm only familiar with flashing zipped flashable kernels.
Just like you normally flash roms and kernels.
you can pull out the boot.img that comes in the viper2.0 rom.
I've been hearing people having screen tearing issues with evilz kernel and viper2.0.
IMHO i think the stock rom kernels are always optimized to the point where their battery life is great.

Yeah, that's why I was making sure to find the easiest way to get back. Some people seemed to be getting good results from EvilZ, but maybe I'll just stick with the one with the ROM.
Thanks for the help!

Non stock kernels can add features way beyond stock. Not just battery but other things. I am a believer in kernels, you just got to find one that works with your setup.
Now that said evilz didn't agree with my phone, hoping to find some time to start work on a new kernel.
