To expand on NIN's answer, the only ICS kernel that works 100% with the CDMA Sense ROMs (like MikVirgin) is the stock kernel. There are others (I guess other since there is only one) out there, but some things are still not working properly with it. When HTC releases the kernel source, then we will see some great kernels, but until then, stock is the way to go.

Aaah ok, well thanks for the info , ill be patiently waiting for the a new kernel soon hopefully

Beats Audio On Stock Rom

Hi all. There is something with which I might have beats audio on my stock rom?
Thanks.
So your looking for your stock ROM to have beats? Are you rooted? It will have to be a custom ROM.

Yes I am rooted. I am searching just a patch to user beats audio

You will need a custom kernel that supports it. I know the latest Anthrax supports beats.

So if you add the Anthrax Kernel you will have Beats support, no what next needs to happen to configure or see it available.?

But I have a problem. I can't flash any kernel because recovery gives me error. I think is a RUU problem

Flash a custom rom that's has beats enabled.
#Root-Hack_Mod*Always\
Rooted and all. There are currently two parts you need to have "full beats"
1. Rom support
2. Kernal support
Otherwise its not beats...
Currently anthrax is only kernal with support.. on to the new issue...
What recovery? What ruu??

I have 4ext touch recovery Rc3 and Ruu I think is 1.20.401.8 or 10.59.9020.00U_10.15.9020.06_M
The only problem is that i want to use stock rom. Is there any rom that's as similar as possible? Expecially about battery life...
FYI one thread is enough

Meanrom2.92 is basically a beefed up stock Rom, with beats enabled on the Rom side... Then you need anthrax stock kernal with the beats drivers... That is going to be as close to stock as you can get with beats... Also has some serious battery life...
I use a 3500mah extended battery and I get a solid 10-12 hours of game play time... It will sit almost a week at idle..
Obviously the stock battery will be less

Most stable DD?

I recently rooted my brother's evo and installed a custom ics rom on it, but hes been having a lot of problems with it and really bad battery drain. Can someone please recommend a stable daily driver (gingerbread or ics) with good battery life and no bugs please. Thanks in advance
i recommend MeanRom 4.3 However, you have to make sure to flash a custom kernel on there as well or you'll have some reboot issues. Either the newest anthrax kernel or dodava's

I've heard MeanRom 4.2 (not 4.3) with Dodava's 5.4 kernel is the most stable, battery efficient Gingerbread ROM.

I'm looking for recommendations on a custom kernel for the mikvirgin ics rom.

The only custom kernel for ics that currently (mostly) works is Anthrax. It is not hosted on XDA. Search Google for it and you should find it.
We're really waiting for HTC to release the source.

Just go to anthrax-kernels.us.
If posting this link is against the agreement with XDA and that certain dev, (I don't think it is since it don't say his name but who knows) I will completely understand if this post gets deleted.
Sent from my Anthrax infected 3D!
Thanks fellas!!

about ICS Kernel for EVO 3D Custom ROM

hello...
i'm using EVO 3D GSM, Rooted and S-Off, currently is running MIUI by Predator and team Genesis, i am planning to revert back to an official MIUI and flash a custom kernel too.. since i'm not available for a couple month and didn't follow any development by that time, could somebody suggest me what kernel would match which i need:
- good battery life
- good performance
- OC is not necessary
thanks before.

Last Yoda's kernel working like a charm:good: (better battery than on cool ics 2.8, performance smooth). Tried @stock yoda's setup (oc on 1.35), also tried reverted on stock kernels 1.89 ghz.
I found anryls and the forbidden kernel the best yodas is too unstable occasionally

Only using the other kernel, works well on coolexe 3.6 rom and viper sense 4 rom, I don't know if it works well on miui or asop roms
sent on my Evil Evo running the so called developers kernel

EvilZ kernel and Vipr4G 2.0

Ok, sorry to be noobish, but how would I flash the Viper kernel? I'm only familiar with flashing zipped flashable kernels.
Just like you normally flash roms and kernels.
you can pull out the boot.img that comes in the viper2.0 rom.
I've been hearing people having screen tearing issues with evilz kernel and viper2.0.
IMHO i think the stock rom kernels are always optimized to the point where their battery life is great.

Yeah, that's why I was making sure to find the easiest way to get back. Some people seemed to be getting good results from EvilZ, but maybe I'll just stick with the one with the ROM.
Thanks for the help!

Non stock kernels can add features way beyond stock. Not just battery but other things. I am a believer in kernels, you just got to find one that works with your setup.
Now that said evilz didn't agree with my phone, hoping to find some time to start work on a new kernel.
